      P JB Wow. Thank you so much. We do get goofy at times too. But for campground reviews, Larry is pretty serious. Plus we spend hours editing trying to put out the best video we can. Thanks for noticing. Alice

    Thank you, thank you, thank you!! Finally someone has made a park review that actually shows the sites, and not just the pool, laundry room, and recreation room. Keep it up. Safe Travels!

      Hey. Thanks. Larry struggles whether to do these because they aren’t exactly exciting. So your feedback is helpful. Some people don’t like them. But we like to show what we would look for in a tour. Thanks. You keep safe too. Alice

      Downsizing Makes Cents As full timers we use UA-cam to see parks in the area we are planning on visiting. Most videos of parks are either 5 to 8 years old, or the newest videos don’t show the rv sites. Especially Thousand Trails. I don’t know if you’re members, but it would be great to show the improvements TT has made to their parks and sites. Maybe you can work out a deal with them to make detailed videos of their parks.

    • @DownsizingMakesCents
      @DownsizingMakesCents  4 роки тому

      Our next spot will be at a TT but hard to do site to site because there are soooo many sites. We will do some areas for sure. The two Encores we went to we did film a bit of it. We appreciate all suggestions. Thanks. Alice

    So my wife and I are sitting down to book Ocala for spring 2023. We were last down there right before Covid hit, and actually had to leave early, because the govt. shut down parks due to the outbreak. We always take a walk-around in new parks to note our most desirable sites for future visits. Our top several spots were taken, so we did a search for a park tour video, and yours came up. As the tour began, I started recognizing certain familiar RVs in sites from when we were there. Sure enough, when you got to our site, there was our TT. We just cracked up! What are the odds? Anyway, thanks for the excellent video. Because of it, we were able to book a great site for next spring. Thanks!

    • @DownsizingMakesCents
      @DownsizingMakesCents  Рік тому

      We get a comment like this every once in awhile. Your RV is now famous 😉
      Larry went down twice to book a couple more days. It was too stressful waiting to see if Covid would shut it down. So we found a place to hunkerdown for a couple of months until state parks opened again.
      Glad we could help you find a good site. Enjoy it

    Wow great tour. I did not realize they had hook up sites. We were doing a Florida State Park trip when everything shutdown in March 2020. We are from Texas and were at Manatee Blue Springs State Park when we were told they were closing all Florida state parks to overnight camping. I had reservations for all March, April and May. I hope we can try it again someday.

    • @DownsizingMakesCents

      We were at Salt Springs when all our Florida state park reservations were canceled too. I had 2-3 months covered. Of course when they opened back up I couldn’t get those reservations back. Florida is hard to book. I never did get a reservation back at Blue Spring State Park 😞.
      I hope you make it back here. We are trying for another winter in the keys. No luck yet.

    Great job. Other than the lack (weak) of cell service we loved Salt Springs. If you are ate 12 and position just right you might get some WiFi. Best hookups ever. We had sites 12 (handicap), 15 and 31 during our visits there this past winter. The spring is absolutely beautiful and so calming, although we were there in January and February. The laundry facility was very nice and the driers were nice and hot. Between the Dollar General and the grocery store we were able stay provisioned. The grocery store even offered custom cut meats. The staff was really friendly when we were there (pre the world breaking). We love and miss you guys.

      Hey Gary, I get it, we struggle with what to include in these videos, we are still learning, I really appreciate your honest feedback, without it we won’t get better. We started doing the site to site thing because WE wanted to see the sites in campgrounds we were planning to visit. Some people are looking for this kind of site detail, that is what makes our videos a little different. Larry

      Kathy, hi. We try to stay away from private RV parks because you don’t get the space and nature like here. I actually put a link in the description for the tshirt. 🤣. I just got it so it fit perfectly with the theme. The only real problem is the poor cell signal. This is where we were when we did the stranded video. I couldn’t handle not talking to my boys. Plus we could only book 2 days at a time. They didn’t know when they would close down. But it’s getting better now. Thanks for checking up on us. Take care. Alice.
