The second girl's group makes me want to cry, like thank god the saleslady was so professional and firm.
I love that Bride #2 is standing up for herself…good girl
The cousins were disrespectful and frankly disgusting
If the dress is over budget, just keep searching for a dress in budget!
Heidi is a special person. It takes a big heart to do what she did on donating her kidney. She deserves her special day, they did all they could for her, those people at that bridal shop are very special. Also, they’re sweet. I wish the best for this bride and her family. What a wonderful mother she has.
🙏❤🥰🐾❤️🙏
2nd bride: Cousin is awful, why bring negative ppl to the appointment?
Her body language spoke of negative attitude when introduced at the beginning. 😮
She is kind of prickly, IMO. There was an episode where she got mad when Randy was trying to help.
She seems jealous to me
especially people who think THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS OVER the budget is "not a big deal." IT'S NOT YOUR MONEY, HONEY
@@dietotakuI agree and a few hundred is already a stretch but thousands over the budget is not acceptable.
Why can't they give her the sample dress for discounted price and free alterations (ie new buttons) and cleaning??
Exactly 🎉
They can’t offer free alterations lol. Although, I am sure Joan would’ve offered a cheaper price on the sample dress so it could offset the alterations cost.
Because they are a business not a charity.
@@stubbornsalad Well they gave her a big discount on the new dress. Mute pint about them being a business vs charity. The mom was so stressed about spending that money. They already agreed to sell the sample dress at discounted price. They could have charged for the buttons, whatever. But hard to watch parent wanting to giver her daughter the dress but stressed about the price
@@thehungrygoldfish Regardless, they didn’t give any other options except to stress the mom out about buying the new dress outside of her budget even with the discount. The whole drama of this is the lowest we can go and stressing the mom out
What an act of kindness Many blessings
Honestly, I am perturbed with the consultant. They explained their budget, and the consultant went and found a dress at the maximum price, with so many flaws! She shouldn't have shown her this dress if she clearly saw that the "as is" condition was unacceptable.
Yes totally unacceptable….
Don’t forget that this is a producer driven reality show, that takes 10 hours to film.
But she's "well on her way to meeting her monthly goal!" 🤪
She found a sample at her price range, they could have tried another one.
They wants some drama to film and the bride is the one who’s paying the price!! No respect
That poor 2nd bride….I feel for her.
Take the dress the way it is, then spend a little bit more money to get someone to put it right. It will still work out at less than declining the dress and going for more expenses. And at a wedding no one is going to be examining the fine details of the dress to find fault, everyone will be looking at the bride and groom's faces and at their friends and family.
Absolutely. I bet the store would have provided a great discount on that dress.
I’m not a fan of the consultant on the 2nd bride.
She's really not very nice in any of the clips I've seen. There's one where she gets very annoyed at Randy (or someone similarly high up, I can't remember) for stepping into her appt and giving their help.
@@Fazerella she is not one of my favorites. . This clip she is showing some sarcasm
She just wants here commission for selling a dress and I think that's the reason why she didn't want help becouse she has to share her money
She's my favorite! She stands up for herself.
@@Ambrrrjames or…..I see her as rude and stubborn LOL…Randy just wants to help. He’s been doing this a lot longer than she has.
Consultant #2.....The audacity to say the bride's budget is an inconvenience to HER because "she feels limited", what the actual heck! I don't see her offering to cover the price difference there will be if she pulls something less "limiting".
It is a fact. A low budget with high expectations IS limiting. It is a sign to either raise the budget or lower the stuff you want on your dress. That is all.
Just because you are offended by the truth doesn't mean that it isn't the truth.
At Kleinfeld, they have 1500 dresses. When the bride's predicament is limiting, that means the consultant won't be able to show her many dresses.
That means the appointment will not be as productive as it could be. Not many dresses means that there isn't much of a selection, which also means that the bride may not find a dress.
All that explains the "limited" comment. Which is the total truth.
@@catladyfromky4142 i'm pretty sure kleinfeld has closer to 15 THOUSAND dresses, but to complain that a bride's budget is "limiting" is BS. she knows she's not going to be able to try on 95% of the dresses in the store. she knows she's going to be limited to a handful of dresses. it's the consultant's job to find the best dress WITHIN HER BUDGET. if there's only 3 dresses within the budget, then that's what she has to pick from. the majority of the time they only show 3 dresses anyway so what's the problem? consultant's just mad she won't make bank on a pricey pnina.
Like you'd be trying on 15000 dresses at the appointment anyway - a budget is just one part of the selection criteria to be mindful of when pulling the few gowns for your bride. I work in men's suiting and when a customer says their budget for a full fit is $800 I don't go and pull a $1600 faulty jacket from the back room and tell them it's now half price because it's been damaged in fittings. It's unethical. I can suit a man for $300 but he won't have the full range of colours, styles and lining options because the more expensive garments are more detailed, and I sure as hell won't be pulling them when I know a traditional black or grey jacket is more appropriate for the customers style and budget.
Agreed. Never liked this consultant
“She would be much better off in something more modern and trendy” stop trying to persuade the bride to buy something that you’d want - it’s not your wedding!
you guys never fail to make me cry.
The first bride’s mother looked like her sister!!
For someone who has a heart big enough to donate a kidney, the entire sales team did not do enough for her.
They discounted a $4200 dress to $3300. That’s a discount not given to other brides, especially for a new dress.
Carmella....definitely not one of my favorite consultants
Right?! She's like a strict headmistress, not very warm or personable at all. Her harsh attitude wouldn't encourage me to spend big money on a dress. I'm guessing that's why the bride left despite finding her perfect dress. I wouldn't want to add to her sales commission.
2nd bride's friend should stay home. Not impressed with consultant either. Hope the bride finds a positive experience soon.
This consultant has issues. She wishes she had known the bride wasn’t going to buy a dress that day??? What’s that all about??? All she wants is her commission. The bride has every right to go home and think about it.
@@lindabruns6020 darn right. you have to live with the choice you make.
@@lindabruns6020I’ve seen Randy get upset over feeling “his time was wasted,” more than a few times..
It’s one thing to have a consultant be rude to a bride who just needs some extra time to make decisions, etc…. Over realizing the woman was never actually in the market for a wedding dress to begin with. Our local bridal shop has girls going in there to “play dress up” quite often.
I believe she did have a positive experience eventually---this episode was from early spring, 2009.
Those cousins are terrible people. If an extra 2500 is no problem, pay the difference 😊
#1 bride. Didn't think that dress did her any favours. #2 - dump the over pushy friends.
wow that first dress..it had a red stain on it and the buttons were all missing. the store lady was so proud of her discount. what a joke.!!!
2nd Bride: Not only did she waste the consultant time-she caused the consultant to loose money as well. The bride knew that she was not going to buy a wedding dress that day. It was a complete lost of time and money for the consultant.
Tough. The purpose is to fulfill the bride's needs, not the consultant's. If Kleinfeld's wants to have a policy that every bride must purchase a dress before leaving the store, they're free to do that. Then see how much foot traffic they lose.
@@joralemonvirgincreche I am sure that you would feel different if you were the consutant. The 2nd bride had NO intentions of buying a wedding dress at Kleinfield's that day. She just wanted to play "dress up." Whereas, most brides go to Kleinfield's with the intentions to buy a wedding dress so, they are not wasting the consultant time. If it doesn't work out and the bride leaves without a dress, then "no harm no foul" because the bride intentions were in the right place.
The second bride cousin needs to realize that it's the bride day and not hers and to remember that when looking for a dress you have to keep the bride's budget in mind
2nd bride was knowingly wasting the consultant's time.
I hate when people want to see brides in their own choices because they believe they know what the bride wants or needs.
They should put the buttons for free .
I think the point they were making is that if they bought the dress and then paid for the fixes in alterations. It may end up not worth the price anymore because they may find more issues with the dress as they go about repairing it. So the alterations/fixing bill would just stack up.
So it would be better to just buy new at that point.
They would still have to pay for the alterations. The buttons aren’t going to sew themselves and the seamstresses can’t work for free!
Heidi and her mother are so lovely. I bet the mom is really sacrificing to pay for that gown. I bet she's where Heidi learned about compassion and self sacrifice. Someone give her a spa day!
If you're frugal and your budget is $2,000 tops, you have no business shopping at Kleinfelds.
and kleinfeld's is more than welcome to ask the bride's budget when making the appointment and turn away those with a $2k budget. it would certainly be preferable to the high-pressure sales techniques and browbeating brides who aren't millionaires receive.
I guess $2000 is just hardly enough for any dress in this store. I would have gone elsewhere. The options are so limited. I personally would never spend more than $1000 on a one time wedding dress. I have 2-3 other dresses to wear too.
I just don't know why these brides with money issues want to go to Kleinfeld. Lots of pretty dresses are at David's Bridal prices.
@@catladyfromky4142I agree and I personally would have shopped online or gone to David’s Bridal like you said. I think many come here as they have a reputation for having a big selection, but you need to have the big budget for that. If you don’t have the budget then why come here?
In today's money her $2,000 is worth very close to $3,000 ($2,932). This episode is from 2009, so she had a generous budget for the time.
The dress looked lovely on her 💖💖
2000 is a lot! and the sales person says she is limited 😂
No, it is a low price for Kleinfelds.
@@thehungrygoldfish but they have pulled out some nice dresses in that price range in many episodes
@@nashitaramkissoon The inventory always changes though.
First Bride. Why would they show you a dress that $4200 when the budget is $2500. No one in their mind would by the sample for $2599. When it’s basically trashed. I’ve seen plenty on this show at $2500 and less that are just fine
You do get a better deal if you go for the sample dresses. If the mom was open to the sample dress, they could’ve asked for a better discount, which would offset the cost of alterations. Usually, sample dresses are a good option for time crunch brides. Heidi wasn’t one but it would’ve been a good option if you were in a hurry and wanted a deal.
Can I just declare that I am completely enamored with Carmella
Why show this bride ANYTHING over the brides budget.. What bothers me is the consultant watched the mom struggle to buy this dress for her daughter.. What the consultant should of done is give up her commission since its her fault the bride and mother are in this dilemma.. But why would the consultant do that right, god forbid she didnt make money off this sale.. 🙄
To be fair, the dress was on budget but it was the sample and it had problems, which is normal for sample dresses on sale. The mom refused to buy the sample so it had to be full price.
People WORK to make a living and pay bills
The store has to make a profit to pay those workers
Jeez
@@christineputman4850They should profit with these high prices.
@@christineputman4850 Yes, I get that.. But why pull anything out of their price range.. Makes no sense..
@@spacey_gracie I agree with you. They should have inspected that dress before it was even put on sale. Was that the only dress she tried on?
I can't imagine giving a kidney to a spouse. Most marriages don't last anymore. I hope her sacrifice was worth it in the end.
Get the dress for 2500 spend some more on alterations everything done below 3000 problem solved
The second bride and her entourage just wasted everyone's time.
Why could have they see on some buttons? They also have miracle spot cleaners. Work with her.
Hate it when people in the bride's entourage push for dresses that THEY will not be paying for and that are outside of the bride's budget - shame on them!
Also, the "buy as-is" dress for the first bride was in horrible condition for the price they were asking! And you could see that even with a reduced price, the alternative, made-to-order one was too expensive for the mom, but she didn't want to let her daughter down. Brides, don't do this to your nearest and dearest loved ones! If you're not going to be paying for the dress yourself, or covering the extra cost outside of someone else's budget, look at other dresses! Often all it takes to turn a not-quite-perfect dress into THE dress is just a veil and some nice jewelery or other accessories.
That is $860 above her poor mother's budget. It is not fair to put the mother in this position. NOT FAIR.
There was an update on her. Heidi felt uncomfortable with going over her mom’s budget so she canceled it and picked another dress that was on budget.
The second brides cousin needs to shut up its not her wedding
Giving her kidney has nothing to do with affording the dress. There are so many dresses out there. I am sure they can find one more affordable. Crazy to spend so much money on
A dress if the groom has medical issues
It was the first dress she tried on. There must have been other dresses within her budget that would have delighted her. 🤷
Just give her the dress and let her make the alterations on it if she needs to. I've seen them do it before.
This is one episode that we needed to know more if a back story because a person needs one kidney so why would she need to give Her fiance a kidney.😮
bride#1 . why couldn't' mom and daughter both chip in?
Why do brides go to very expensive bridal stores when they really can't afford too!!
2nd bride should have shopped alone
Did the bridal party offer to pay the difference NO
I'm not crazy about Carmel, the consultant. Her attitude borders on rude.
did the cousin really say "I hate you" to Carmela? lol what a b
Not a fan of the second consultant. Total lack of charm; snippy.
I like the second consultant, but the bride looks 12
@@jaxscales6158and sounds like it.
If you ask someone to go over budget you have to offer to pay the difference. People are jerks
The 2nd appointment. Why she came waste the consultant time.
I wasn't necessary that she mentioned the kidney donation thing but i guess its just a tv show
Second brides cousin is awful! the blonde one absolutely unbearable!
Carmella is hands down, the WORST consultant on the show! 😒
She went to Pronovious after Kleinfeld.. & only continueddddd to leave a trail of “bad-experiences” behind her, smfh.
Poor girl. She needs to ditch the dumb, pushy fake friends
Why would you put a dress on a bride? That’s already outside of her price range that’s in such poor condition in the first place? That was just cruel.
So this grown woman can’t put a little money toward the dress?
Good grief!!!!
There is NO £ŲÇĶĮŇĞ WAY I would EVER pay $3000 for a dress with thread pulls, body stains and NO buttons when it HAD buttons. Gtfoh. You used EVERY discount? Smdh that's just WRONG.
The $3300 is for a new dress. If Joan had given a discount for the sample dress, it would’ve been around $2000 or perhaps less.
@@thehungrygoldfish no she had to buy it as it was. She didn't have time to order a new one.
@@MrsMollieDollieNo, the price negotiated was for a new dress. They specifically said that lol. $2599 was the price for the sample dress as is. $4200 was for the dress to be ordered new and they negotiated $3300, which is a discount that they don’t do for a new dress so she did indeed use every discount possible. They usually don’t do more than 12.5% for new dresses. They did 20% off, which is unheard of for a new dress.
No don't take 😢😮
I realize this show is scripted af, but even pretending to stress someone out by putting her in a dress she can't afford is B.S.
And you're upset. Enough to comment. That makes this kind of script MORE likely.
@@catladyfromky4142 considering the show is defunct, not so much.
Carmel is the absolute worst
Shame on the consultant for bringing going her a dress with so many problem.
I don't like Carmella (2nd consultant)... aka Gargamel!
Two words for the cousin: Shut up!
I know it's a job to sell the dress, but these consultants r ridiculous. So fake!!!!
Not a fan of Carmel
Im a female and dont care how many organs she donated. If u cant afford a dress dont get married because u cant afford that either. Have your priorities straight. Noone should have to pay out of necessity. But of course she has a 19yr old at 29 so do the math. That would have made her a teen mom...
29 minus 19 is 10. 🤦🏼♀️
Um….you need to go back to school, hon. The daughter is 10 years old not 19 lol
how long ago was this? All the gowns are hideous and OVERLY PRICED!
1st bride: The consultant could have given up her commission. But of course she wouldn't
That's ridiculous! Why should the consultant give up her commission just because the bride has a low budget. Anybody with a brain knows that you don't go to Kleinfeld's if you have such a low budget.
@NH-tb2sm The consultant didn't have to show her dresses that were on sale and clearly needed many, many alterations. She could have shown her full price dresses within her range 🤷🏻♀️
Why would a consultant sacrifice her income for an unknown person's fancy choice? A dress is not an emergency. Hate this beggar mentality
The consultant has to make a living, too.
How do we know she didn't? They literally took almost a $1000 off, including taxes they said using 'every trick in the book."
At a certain point, it's ordering and selling a brand new dress at a loss and they will not do that.
Those selling tricks are awful! They always get a dress at the highest possible price that the budget allows and find other tricks to raise the price.
First they got her a dress for 2599 which was already over budget! Then the dress was skanky with spots on it and they got the price for a new one from 4000 to 3500 or something like this. All tricks to make you spend more!!!!
It’s a reality show, they get paid. 🤦🏻♀️ All the drama! Yes, I am hooked, but not with the emotions.
1st bride. The dress was on sale for $2,599.00……as is. Joan managed to give it to them you $3,300.00…..where was the savings? The price went UP! What did I miss?
The SAMPLE dress was that cheap. They didn't want a sample because of its condition, so they wanted a new dress. Which is much more expensive. All that was said in the video.
The 2599 was rack take as us. Mom didn't want the off rack. So she got a brand new one ordered for 3500.
@@carolyndurant8413 Both the bride and the mom didn't want the off-the-rack sample dress because it had stains on it and was missing all the buttons down the back (but still had, I presume, all the loops or holes for the missing buttons). Watch it again and pay attention
.
The dress is worthless in that condition so?
Toxic cousin
they'll still cheat.
Jesus this girl donated a kidney and the shop wants to make a profit
Did anyone tell you they're a charity? Sure they want to make profit
