An excellent video on how to do a thorough clean of a Vax Blade. Everyone owning these sorts of vacuum cleaners should watch a similar video for their particular brand and model, it will add years to the life of the machine and keep it working as intended.
I would probably suggest doing a quick check of the bearings in the brush roller. If they are seized then it would put extra strain on the motor & belt & they might also get hot enough to melt plastic. If bearings are seized a new roller is recommended.

I have this model cleaned the brush and the wheel says locked can't see where a belt would go I smelled rubber burn out one day then stopped working where would a belt go ❤

hi, ok so when I take the end cap off the brush bar you need to do that on the other end, with the screws removed you will see 2 little rollers and that's where the belt would go.
with the end off it's very easy to replace the belt and belts are available on Ebay and amazon.
If you need anything else just ask.

Owned this hoover years and great hoover but i'd be bloody embarrassed if i actually owned this one in the video, absolutely bogging and disgusting and shows owner never cleaned it. I give the two main filters a shake out in bin after every use.
