DEAL 8 Black Caucus Presentation

The DEAL 8 Racial Equity Fellows presented what they've been working on with their racial caucus groups! The Black caucus presented on Black identity and visions of freedom (including taking us back in time to Paradise Valley!). Watch this recording of their presentation from October 2024.
As part of our Racial Equity Fellowship, we use the practice of forming racial caucus groups so our fellows with shared racial identities have space for learning together. Fellows break into a Black caucus, a non-Black POC caucus, and a white caucus because there is work that each of these groups need to do together AND on their own - whether that's taking accountability, developing analysis, challenging internalized racism, creating a space for healing, etc. - on their journey toward co-liberation.
Our Racial Equity Fellowship is a year-long program for emerging and experienced leaders with a deep commitment to racial equity.
