US Navy Vet. Was assigned shore duty in Argentia, Newfoundland (1981-84). Loved it there so much I extended my 1 1/2 year assignment for an additional year. Loved the outdoors. Camping, fishing, hiking. Great videos.
Now, this is time well spent. I love the tin can kettle. ...reminds me of going trouting with Dad when I was growing up in Stephenville. Our kettle was an old apple juice can with a bit of wire for hanging over the fire.
This topography reminds me of Northern Maine I was in a military survival course and i fished a small creek. I used safety pins and carpet thread as a line. I caught gras hoppers and tied them with rubber bands on the safety pins i was using for the hook. In 30 minutes I had caught 8 brookies about 6 to 8 inches long. I was the only man that caught anything. The brookies were native and wild . I think that part of Maine is breath taking
Now that's you call living well. You can't find that in any restaurant's or take out. Nothing like pure nature but your lucky there's no bears leaking around the coner, I know if this would be in new brunswick in my area there would sure be bears around ,great video. Catch you on the next one
I just came across your channel and, I've found another favorite. I love how there's no loud and obnoxious music, love how you present your videos with just the sounds of Nature as a backdrop. Also, no droning monologue telling us everything you do. Your videos are mostly, self explanatory. Thanks, I'm looking forward to watching your next episodes. Stan
Great video. Found the following funny "Moss keeps fish cool while fishing on a hot day". Sure didn't look hot, looked like it was "cold enough to clip ya'".
Really enjoyed this video. I too have an Alpacka for the same reason... getting to the good fishing spots. Nice lunch. The kitchen equipment looks a bit heavy but worth it on a short trip. Keep the vids coming.
I live in Scotland and I like to to see fishermen cooking some of the trout they catch we do it now and again some times we smoke them that’s what it’s all about specially when you out in the wilds all the food always tastes better. I am enjoying your videos and stay safe plus tight lines 2021 👍🎣🏴
So I guess you could have caught much larger trout, but you wanted them to fit your frying pan, right? 😃 Nice day. You're blessed to live in an area that beautiful.
Never a better Mug up than that !!! My son , that is a feed !!! Only thing missing was a few spruce needles in the boil up !! Fruit cake reminded me of me mother !!! Thank buddy !!
Sad to bad they don’t do timber harvest in sustainable way . I live in southern Ontario it’s turning into malls and particle board million dollar homes . Most of the city and town children sit and watch computer and video games never getting to appreciate or enjoy outdoor activities . I moved to Canada as a boy from the uk I went completely gray owl lolol
Great video, just wondering what area your going to? I live in pasadena as well and I was looking for a close spot to do some ice fishing this winter. let me know if you wouldn't mind pointing me in the right direction. Thanks
I found your channel just a few weeks ago. Love the Newfoundland outdoors. Also enjoy the videos without all the musical nonsense or mad ramblings so many other people seem to do. Are you from the Pasadena/west coast area?
