As the saying goes, "a lousy day of fishing always beats a great day at work". Time we’ll spent, even if you didn’t catch anything. Love your channel, because as much as I wish I could do a 400km wild adventure, we aren’t that young anymore. Sure we can work it still, but you’re style of adventure is a little more relaxed. Plus NFLD is freakin gorgeous. If I had a way to get there, I'd strongly think about it.
Great video and good for you picking up the broken beer bottle. I love your feasts, this one reminds me of Xander Budnick (also on UA-cam). He'd also cook a steak that big while fishing!
That's something I never thought of doing when I was out salmon fishing is having a boil up and cooking lunch over a fire.miss doing that but it's great to watch others doing it .great video
lived in Halifax ns. from 1955 . i was 4 then.... lol to 1970 Move west to Vancouver BC. to make money .and not been home in a long time :( so been to Newfoundland a Few Times. Loved It There ! . Anyways looking ty sir !
That was an awesome video and lunch. Nice Atlantic salmon. Was that a grill? What size rod and line are you using.? Do the bright streamers work on them this time of year? Glad to see NF still has salmon running. Very relaxing watching you cast. Thanks for the beautiful scenery. I think the run must be slow that is why you had the river to yourself. Still a thousand cast fish I see. Maybe a go pro on your chest so we can see the hook ups when they happen. Thanks very much.
That's a grilse, on a #8rod and line using orange bugs, and that river spot is 30 minute walk from the road, and people are to spoiled to walk anymore, and that spot has hundreds of salmon normally but the run was 2 weeks early and ever year seems to be getting earlier
How're coping bach?Looks devastating.Can/will the goverment assist you in this nightmare. The houses seem so flimsy but these are abnormal conditions. As always 💗from the valleys Baz 🏴
@@thenewfoundlandoutsider6354 Probably made by the same company. I'd recognise that drag anywhere!! I had a Fenwick rod in the 80s. Probably still great rods!!
Great channel…. You’re a man after my own heart because whatever I’m at in the woods I always take time to boil up and lunch. 👍

Is that a Shakespeare Beaulite reel? The sound reminds me of the one my late father used to use. I think that's a Cortland 444 as well. Old school.😎😎
No actually its a jw sons reel from England old school on a new fenwick eagle rod
