My FW3 is almost a perfect Railroad light. The field of view when riding the steps on a car or engine is so great it is hard to describe. I only wish there was some type of light band going around for signaling.
Im not much into throw but i do have the Marauder 2 and the mini which have both but instead of lighting up a single object id rather turn night into day
The Mateminco also has red or orange leds, not aux but flood. Nealsgadgets really needs to put some sort of description about the light other than a chart.
Some throw distance numbers would be nice too, LEP review but no mention of actually how far they throw, that building is obviously a way off but how far?
This video is the first ive even heard of a laser channel/beam. What is the usecase for such a narrow beam? Is it to point something out at a distance/limit illuminating the surroundings??
so i need help, im looking to buy a flashlight that i can use in the sea, so i need a really good thrower but also having a flood function would be usefull, im considering buying the k75 or the mr90 and can't choose which one i should get, lemme know if you can help.
Great ideea but still big flashlights. My choise is 2 flashlights: Olight Baton3 Pro Max with warm white, a superb big poin flooder and a Lumintop GTA. I love throwers but for me they are absolutely useless. I even own an Acebeam K75, its just a dust covered toy. The only good thing about it are the 2 great sets of 4x18650 i bought with it!
I've got a video comparing laser and LED flashlights that explains the differences and discusses somewhat the use cases: ua-cam.com/video/Ld9AoE_v1YA/v-deo.html They're pretty niche, I think it's one of those things where you will know if that's what you need.
I don't own an LEP, I have no need for one, my LED lights do me perfect, but I really want an LEP just for fun really, would be cool lighting up things over 2000m away, just for novelty factor.
Love the fw3 but hate the interface. Lumentop is great but super heavy. Hate the nitecore charging port and why have the single small battery with such a huge head? I'm not gonna pocket carry that thing just put another battery in there already.
Dammit, I thought the FW3 was going to be awesome until you went over the UI. The FW3 would be amazing if it had either a mode memory so I could leave it in hybrid turbo mode, or just start out in hybrid turbo. I just want a hybrid light that is all go no stop, I don't need 5 million modes and options. That form factor with a single full power mode would be frickin magical, I don't care if it monches batteries. Low mode on a flashlight is worthless, if I want less power I have a smaller light.
Osram W1 definitely has a ton of throw, it would be cool to directly compare a W1 light and an LEP with the same size optics to see how closely they compete
@@ethan-lumencraft- yeah that would be a good comparison. The cool thing about the osram w1 is there is also a little bit of flood outside of the hotspot, compared to the lep which is literally just the hotpot. So by itself it's sorta like a "hybrid flashlight" with much weaker flood (still useable at night for walking). For a practical lep light, it needs to be hybrid imo because you can't walk at night with just the hotspot. So in my situation I would be only comparing hybrid leps to the w1. I think that a dedicated lep with the same sized head would throw farther than the w1 though. But compared to the same sized hybrid light.. I think the w1 will throw farther. An actual test would be nice though.
Life is like a video game - if you encounter enemies, you're heading in the right direction. LuxWad + Matt Smith is the greatest collaboration in flashlights!
"LASER"?? I can only conclude that your definition of "Laser" is different from mine. I can't see any utility in carrying one around in my hand, and I can't understand why any flashlight manufacturer would incorporate one into a flashlight.
There is so subjectivity in the definition, it is an actual ~450nm blue laser diode aimed at a phosphorus layer that creates the white beam. If you want more of a look at why these might be useful, you can watch our video on the subject: ua-cam.com/video/Ld9AoE_v1YA/v-deo.html
@@ethan-lumencraft-Thanks Ethan, I watched your other video, and these flashlights are something I didn't know about. The video was interesting, and I left a comment there, asking some questions about them.

God I love this channel. Thanks guys!
Glad you like the videos!
Thanks great review. Can you please put the names and model of all other 3 flashlights ( excluding nitecor p35i)

Great vid. Would love to see how the imalent compares with the nitecore
Would have loved to have seen the Ace Beam M1 compared with these.
Great review Sir. How long is the Nitecore spot/ laser run time ?
I do enjoy your videos there mate, but I think people would prefer to move the beam around a bit slower, specially on such narrow LEPs.

Where is the beam shots being filmed
I have the ace beam w 30, has a much bigger head than the flashlights that you’re showing, except for the big can head, I wonder how it compares
Awesome review very informative
You definitely should've included the Nebo Luxtreme SL100. I sell those and they are incredible.

Hello, Can you tell me what is your opinion about OLIGHT MARAUDER MINI?
hmmm i just got my Olight Marauder Mini...now i sell it and buy one of this ones in the video because the throw LED in the Marauder mini is crap.
Olights pretty meh overall😅
Excellent thank you 👍👍👍
soy fanboy de lumintop y para mi is the BEST of the BEST
i hope u will make review about imalent sr32.

hello who will shine next lumintop thror 3 or nitecore p35i
Fantastic vid!
Only problem with the fw3 is no memory. It would be my favourite light if it had a memory mode
Possibly Silly question. But why would you need the laser? If I were stranded on an island and wanted to be seen that's the only time I could think of

Thor 4
I think an osram w1 with a medium sized head will throw farther than those leps according to the cancela ratings.

I agree, this kid is totally annoying... I'm seriously considering unsubscribing.
Matt is enjoying the lottery win life. Probably on his new yacht.
