The other day I was reflecting on all the futuristic tech-promises that haven't yet come to pass during my 40 years on the planet. We don't have flying cars. Nobody's living on the moon. Fusion power remains a work in progress.
But you know, certain weird things _have_ far surpassed anyone's expectations-like flashlights, for instance. Flashlights are _amazing_ now, compared to what I had as a kid. Remember when a Mag-Light with D-Cells was basically the pinnacle of portable illumination? You can now get a penlight that is far superior. Today's "big" flashlights are basically portable suns. Still waiting on that flying car, but it's nice sometimes to stop and appreciate the progress that has been made.

@@JohnLobbanCreative the problem with flying cars is they're a bad idea. They're loud. Helicopters are flying vehicles, restricted because of the noise and space, to get a car flying to that level it'd be a louder more inefficient hovercraft that works the same.

I was all set to buy the SR32, then i got a message from Imalent's ebay store offering the MS32 (new, not refurbished) for $582. With the $20 discount code and no sales tax in Oregon, i bought it for $562 shipped to my door.
It outshines my town's lighthouse! I've carried it on walks for an hour with no problem. It's no different to me than carrying one of my rifles. I don't use the strap: it's uncomfortable. I wish the handle had a textured rubber grip and wrist strap, otherwise very happy with my purchase.

@@saladbreath607 it’s a great light! I had a link for a better price on Amazon last week. I have some wrist straps I use on some of my Imalent flashlights. I have both the IMALENT SR32 and MS32. I like the throw of the SR32 better for train videos. I’ll soon be trying the new IMALENT MS12 MINI C. 65,000 lumens but smaller than the other two big ones. I think it will give me enough light to do a good job with nighttime trains. I’ll post a review around New Year’s.

I have the X75 and i agree with you. It's an absolute beast and probably the best value for money insane high output flashlight that you can currently get.

    • @AverageReviewsYT
      @AverageReviewsYT 5 місяців тому +3

That’s debatable for value for money. The ms32 gives you much more than 2x the performance for not even 2x the cost. The lumens alone is 2.5x and throw is light years ahead. Add the sustained output of 2x the x75, and the battery life of the x75 isn’t even close to the ms32. If I’m spending 100s of dollars I’d go for the ms32.. but.. with one exception.. packability… the x75 takes it by far. Having to buy the bigger battery pack for better runtime defeats the only advantage of the x75.. and yes hey both have reliability issues at times..

@@AverageReviewsYT spend $75-$125 on an ace beam and an imalent. See the quality and UI both brands are about- then make your decision. I have 5 acebeam lights with the oldest being 4 years old. I’ve left them outside for months and they function good as new. Probably time for new batteries for my oldest lights. Another thing is lights this bright are novelty. Acebeam x75 is waterproof the others are not. Easily replaceable fan. Built for regular use - even though any light this bright is much less useful than a light that doesn’t break if you drop it at waste height.

@@jacobtramel6293 I own a touch over 70 lights ranging from the i3e up to the ms32. The x75 is at this point outdated.. besides.. did you see the pro type x90? Looks nice.. as before, this lights only real benefit is its compact size.. but it rather have the sr16. My gt4 is also a killer, but for its time this was a competitor. IMHO taking everything into account, the ms32 is just a better light in every aspect but size.. I have had both cheap and expensive acebeam and seen cheap imalent, and cheap of both are imho horrible.. every sub $40 acebeam I have bought, I have hated and seemed cheap and sent back.. imalent flat out has horrid reliability at sub $200 it seems.. for both brands, I only go top tier.. no doubt acebeam makes more budget lights so it has a better reputation.. but imalent wants power.. not edc blandness.. they’re 2 different companies with different markets.. no doubt though from me though is that acebeam has some rediculous ui on some of their lights..

I love my Acebeam and I don't feel the need of the bigger battery...yet. No issues what so ever and just the fact that they send an extra, easy exchangeable fan and a very powerful USB-C charger in the package makes it really priceworthy. If I have one criticism it would be that I sometimes wish that it could throw a bit further away. It's a floody light and that's it.

    I have the AceBeam X75.
The reason is, because someone designed the flashlight considering all the heat transfers (the LEDs are all at the same temperature), and the thresholds for the power throttling and control of the fan - in a way meant to keep the LEDs and the battery well and long lasting.
The only thing the X75 can't be protected from - is a mirror. Even if a small percentage amount of the emitted light is returned back to the LEDs - it is going the blew them off in few seconds. The X75 can generate 10,000 lumens continuosly - this is an outstanding achievement, if you consider that any flashlight emitting 1,000+ lumens without interruptions and without troubles, while keeping reasonably cool, are becoming increasingly rare, even among allegedly professional devices.

The problem with all these high lumen flashlights is the highest setting only runs for about 45 seconds or less then it cuts back on the lumens. What's the point if the highest setting doesn't last long? I personally prefer an HID bulb with a good reflector and it doesn't back off from the lumens. I use a 11000mah 14.8v 100c rc battery to power my HID spotlight and from the testing I've done, I'll get over 3 hours run time with the 50watt HID kit. Also, you can plug it into the vehicles 12v socket and run it as long as you want.

To be fair, every flashlight shown in this video can sustain a higher light output than your hid setup (with the last one beating it by guestimated 50% more and the rest doing double to triple the output, and still come ahead when you want it for 3h.) And thanks to the 100w usb-c charging, they probably can suatain it indefinitly.
The redicoulus output is just a bonus on top and sometimes 45s are enough to just look at something, considering you can use it repeatedly with small breaks.
But yeah, HID certanly is also neat.

I was mad, as it wasn’t cheap, and didn’t hold up to use. I would advise against buying this company’s products.

I can see the next videos being like ... What is the most brightest AND practical flashlight of 2024 ? cause none of this are due to their size, weigh, heat, battery duration, etc. These are just models for braggin rights of "worlds most brightest".

Finish high school before making an account here old tart. Brightest flashlight doesn't have any requirements. It has to be the brightest. That's it. "Bragging Rights". There is nothing brighter out there. Stay off the internet. Who are you to add what size weight heat or battery duration it needs to be? BRIGHTEST. Pick up a dictionary next time.

i wish i would of bought one or two good flashlights instead of buying a bunch of cheaper ones but i still love collecting flashlights even if they are crap lights compared to these ones

Honestly at the end of the day, having a bunch of lights you like is more important than numbers and quality.. this is coming from a owner of 2 of the brightest flashlights in the world, small edc modded lights, tons of edc of varying quality.. get what you like, but always try to have one show stopper if you like to impress lol. I did a video on the ms18 vs ms32 for upgrading and beamshots if you are ever curious.. as for the sr32, the specs are optimistic the ms18 comes in at 102,000 lumens avg and the sr32 comes in at 103,000 avg. I’d consider x75 ms18 or ms32.. the sr, I wouldn’t consider.. the sr16 is what I would get over the sr32.

@@AverageReviewsYT True true i am happy with all my lights and never regreat buying them so thanks for the video and i cant wait till the next one if you could please do a review on the best but cheapest throwers avalible only if you have time

@@PattiPoss my channel isn’t active anymore, due to living situations and time. If you want a solid cheap contender for high throw budget, my favorite edc is the Thrunite catapult mini v1 (or v2). Up from that in size for edc I’d go with the wurkkos ts11 (or ts11s). Convoys c8+ has some solid options and beyond that we’re talking can sized, and for that I’d go with a Thrunite midsize light. ( like the catapult pro or the v6) beyond that, and we’re talking dedicated expensive throwers..

well now these do cost some money but most people spend 500 dollars a month or more just on food so a 500.00 dollar flashlight is allot of money just for a light but its the worlds brightest light so for that to me it would be worth 500 dollars all day long but yeah thats just me tho if i had over 500 dollars to spend i would deffinitly buy one of these brightest lights so thanks for sharing
