That's how it's supposed to be done. People say i am crazy cause i tackle trees like that with an 718.

Thats what my dad would do with big pines like that, cut into em a good ways let the blade speed back up and hit em. I would always like seeing the smoke when tree would rub on the blade. I miss the woods
