Very good video! There’s a lot more to the operation of that machine than you said but you covered the basic stuff! You forgot to tell everyone how sore your back is from being bounced around all day! But your young... wait till you have thirty years on your body! Please protect your back and knees! Once they are damaged it’s a life changing experience! Use knee pads or cushions when on your knees for a long time!
That looks fun it looks like you definitely enjoy your job i think people have got to get a job that fits them so they can truly enjoy it that's the secret to a very successful career
Unfortunately I take medication so I can’t get a license to operate a feller buncher or get a license to drive a truck but I do like what I do for a living so everything is good but I’d love to operate one of these if I was able to it looks extremely fun
One of my buddy’s runs on of those machines and he was on some big wood and it turned over and he couldn’t get to the key to turn it off Bc of the phone holder and it burnt the motor up in it .. he snatched that phone holder out of there to
6 years of cutting (rubber tire) on flat ground resulted in me being over confident. Moved, and took job cutting (also rubber tire) BIG white oaks in the mountains/BIG hills. 3 trees (respectively shaped as a triangle/3 points) cutting down hill for the last of 3 necessary cuts, as the head went through, the buncher slid down hill enough that the two remaining trees (of 3 mentioned above) forced the upper arm closed, leaving the accumulator, that couldn’t close due to mass of trunk, was helpless to prevent it, so as the 2 left tires left the ground and I rode her over, I was certain the tree would keep us from going to the bottom…. Wrong, 10ft from the tree’s top making impact, 1,2 then three different places she snapped off and we rolled to the bottom. Oddly enough, within 20 minutes she was flipped back over and after a few hours, she busted off! Blew white smoke for a few minutes and finished out that tract. Stay alert! Stay alive! Cool video bud.
Man that’s some gravy cutting, not a piece of brush in sight, 2 days of cutting and I’d be a month ahead in that sweetness
For someone like me who has never seen the inside of one of these, I really appreciate the tour. Thanks!
