Mystery dungeon games are very simple and easy to produce in terms of programming, they totally could make a side game like that, should a dev feel inspired to make it and have enough extra time to do so. If they did I would happily complete all the levels just to check for secrets, it would fit the in universe experience very well.
I'm so excited for this. I don't care if it's a sequel, DLC, animated series, or whatever. I will 100% be there on day one when any new hypnospace content is released.

I recently finished Hypnospace Outlaw and the more I learn about the universe and behind the scenes the more I'm in love with the game! Super excited for the sequel! Also, gotta love that transition from Dreamsettler to Slayers X lol, glad that this is his canon route instead

my guess is that after a few years people began to rebuild trust in sleeptime. remember, the study we saw concluded that hypnospace only degrades sleep quality, not any permanent negative effects. the headaches experienced by some users were probably caused from the lack of sleep. the mindcrash was just caused by rushed development, sacrificing stability. they also probably improved the technology and constantly reassure the users its safe. just a random thought, but viruses would be pretty scary in this universe. imagine a virus crashing the user's headband
Can I just say that I loved hypnospace outlaw, Jay, you and the team did an amazing job with this game, absolutely gonna pick up dreamsettler when it comes out, along with slayers x, hypnospace was an amazing experience, so I have no doubt dreamsettler will be too
As much as I loved Hypnospace Outlaw, which is a lot, I didn’t really feel a nostalgia connection to it because I was born in 1999 and didn’t start using the internet until 2004. This one really gets me. The look and feel of the pre 2005 internet feels so real but also new here. I can’t wait.
Genuinely can't wait to play this. I loved the original Hypnospace from the bottom of my heart, I'm sure this spiritual successor will be fantastic ! :>

I've had a strong connection to Hypnospace Outlaw ever since it was in beta and I'm so happy to see it continue to get so much attention and love from so many people. I'm very excited to see what the future holds for Sleeptime Computing.
It's one of the events the player has control of the outcome for, so naturally the "complete" ending is canon. You probably shouldn't post spoilers in trailer comments about it though, anyone going into the first game should be kept unaware Zane's role as it's one of the biggest twists in the story. Extra late for a comment like this but w/e.
