How is the reliability on one of these Vr30s, I do want to own one myself, that car looks so good but I’m hearing a lot of people saying that the turbos don’t take a lot of abuse and if I purchase this car it will be driven hard
I have a twin turbo (it’s not this), you can drive them hard but not all day. Mix up the driving and it will last.
the issue is not only the turbos that transmission is garbage i had a 2016 q50 redsport had to replace the transmission twice in less than a year spend a little more and get an m340i you can get a 2020 for around 39k
@@b58forever I went with a 2021 Scat of the show room floor , have zero problems, driven hard and maintained well
Question is the chrome delete wrapped from factory or the paint the chrome from facorty

it doesnt worth i had a 2016 i jad to replace the transmission twice and my car was stock now i have an m340i thats a fucking good car 😂
Does anybody know if the updated 2020+ lower screen still has the performance pages like the G-Meter, the three round gauges etc etc like the 2014-2019 does? I have yet to see that with the updated system. Thanks

my 2020 Q50 RS does not have that anymore. Also the maintenance reminder app is gone.

Damn, that sucks. I was hoping they were going to upgrade the basically useless 0.5G g-meter to at least a 1.0G and better responding meter. It's still cool, but that's too bad they deleted it. I also like the three round gauges, and I really love and often use the cool looking instant mpg graph with the red lines. That looks so cool at night. What a shame. I love the 2020+ screen and navigation graphics though. Thanks for replying guys.
@@StormAutoAdventures yeah I was unpleasantly surprised when I went from 2015 Q50 to 2020 Q50 RS and got less functionality. Also, InTouch services are entirely gone in 2020. So can't lock or start the car with the app...
I'm thinking about trading in my 2017 c43 amg for one of these...mind you my c43 needs around 5k cad maintenance after just 32k km.
That’s high, the Q50 RDS400 is going to be much cheaper maintenance and the performance is there. The inside the only disadvantage is the older 2 screen but great vehicles and fun to drive 👍🏻

@@grandmastagrimm8773 out of all those I get a m340i if u got the bred them engine are amazing and gain power quick. If u wanna go the eco route get a q50 certified preowned they quick and make hella power. Qs are super reliable just do ur regular maintenance

Way to expensive I have a 3.0t belts and blown turbos are constantly on your mind I don't see my car going passed 100k
As long as you keep up with maintenance and don’t drive it hard all the time it should go pass that without problems 👍🏻.
Dam sounds like you got a case of the rare problem of blowing belts, get upgraded ac compressor pulley, it has ridges to prevent the belt from slipping off and blowing. Blown turbos are prominent in 2018 and older, but can also occur if you push the car before the engine oil temps rise. Turbos go from oil starvation.

If you are in the USA and Florida it’s around 50-60$ with 93 octane or premium fuel.
