I don't think I truly understood how much I loved Parle G until I started traveling by local trains in Bombay and the train would pass by the factory in Parle and suddenly you were hit by the perfect sweet malty scent of hot Parle G biscuits being made. I was so sad when that factory shut down (though it's stupid to be sad you can't smell a biscuit on your way to college lol).

To be honest, I really don't think being 'fair' in complexion has additional advantages in our country. I mean, most of the people belonging to North East India are fairly ''Fair''...and yet end up being some of the least well-treated people in the country, to the point of being called ''Corona virus''...Racism is not so simple, as White vs.black or brown or yellow(I don't even understand why it is absolutely necessary to label ourselves with the colour of our skin, when race is much more than simply the colour of our skins)..Racism is the breach in basic moral fibre, and is more of a personal decision than a collective one...
Well, I have utter adoration for the north- eastern people. 😊
Although I agree with you I wouldn't completely agree with Vir. Racism in our country has a lot to do with colonialism and it's called institutional racism. Which explains why North Eastern people are also racially abused because to us anything close to the imperialist is ideal and that isnt just fair skin, it's having sharp caucasian like features,wearing western clothes, being fluent in English and having western cuisine . But it still isnt an excuse for us to not think for ourselves and stop it altogether. After all,it has been over 70 yrs since they left.
