Surprisingly good! Even after reusing it no leaks! I prefer it over gasket maker because you can drive it instantly instead of having to wait for it to dry
Wrong oil for sure. I’ve had mine in for 8yrs so far no wear, pulled them out 3 times to check in that time. I have front and rear spartan lockers full synthetic 80/140. 👍
Can I put one of these in my stock 04 Limited rear? I really need it for snow where I live. Also, what locker can I put in my front? It's a daily driver btw. Where do I look to see what diffs I have?
I don’t think lockers are good for snow! Do some research on it. This locker works on stock Dana44A there are other lockers just need to see what axle you have first
I have a 1999 dodge ram 1500 4x4 I was thinking about putting one in the front Dana 44 low pinion I don't know if it would hold up to 35s 250hp and it weighs 7000 lb what do you think and a little sand and mud I don't do rock climbing
I got spartan in my dana 30 front and love it... im swapping in the 44a (and regear front), but its the varilock so i guess if i wanted to put spartan in rear too id have to change out the carrier?
I have a silver 04 that looks like yours before the wrap. 4.0 Laredo with 3.55's but have a D30/D44HD with 3.73's out of a V8 to swap in. What are all the D44a locker or LSD options available? I'm new to the Jeep world... I've really learned to appreciate these WJ's, but as a lifelong Toyota guy I feel like these things absolutely suck with open diffs, even just on wet roads. I already have a Spartan locker for the front (not installed yet) that came with the V8 axles. Do you think it's worth it to regear them before I install them or will 3.73's make it noticeably better? Right now it's on stocks with a 3" IRO short arm lift but I'm thinking about the 4" long arm this years black Friday. I don't plan to go larger than a 33" tire ever. I have an 84 4Runner to beat on...haha You enjoying our east coast humidity?! 🤣
There isn’t many options I know Torq and Spartan Locker have one I haven’t done enough research to see if arb or someone else makes something. With the 4.0s probably worth regear at 33s I drove mine with the stock 3.55 gears for a while but the gears definitely helped feel more normal😂 this humidity man it’s something else
@NajarOffroad you think 3.73 will help enough or should I go ahead and bite the bullet and do 4.56 or something steeper like that? I'm sure LS fest will be brutal also...haha I may try and make it there and say hi... I'm less than 2 hours from there.
@@JBarnes917 yea meant super 35 my bad. i have bent the carrier on 2 d44a that were trussed and locked. I had the the rusty upgraded a arm and long arms but with 35s it just wasnt able to handle it. plus 35 has more aftermarket support so itd be easier to upgrade. Id take a 8,25 over both

I'm glad to see you have some WJ content in the reserve.😂 ive been looking into lockers in the future for my WJ! Saving this video for sure!
Of course I do💪😂 but also watch the other stuff I will be uploading since I don’t have a WJ here😭
@@NajarOffroad That Comanchee is going to be sick! I'm not going anywhere! 🤙
I wish there were more options for the d44a. 👍👍👍
Right! But atleast this locker works 💪
The color on that Jeep looks sooo clean
Thanks brotha! I love the color! Looks different depending on the light
Thanks for the shout out
💪
How is that lube locker gasket holding up?
Just use gasket maker

What's up with the project truck..
Hey matey, not sure if you have video's on the standard Quadra Drive Varilock systems, I would love to see some good vids on them.
Does the truss help the Dana 44a , does the spartan lockers perform well
How does it drive on road
It’s been good! No more issues! I didn’t record any driving before I left😂

Good to know💪
@@NajarOffroad really like that front bar
Did this Dana 44a have the Vari-loc in it before you installed the locker???

Yes carrier would need to be changed i believe also axle shafts.. I got mine from junkyard just need locker now
Are you near jersey or in jersey? I could really use some help on my 2002 jeep grand cherokee limited

But being that my overland has the d44a and the varilockers. Can I upgrade to this locker ? With my stock 242 ?
+1 on this Jonathan can you touch on this question ?
Cool
The d44a is the biggest flaw of the WJ (for off-roading). A d30 would be so much better, you’d have the option to do super d30.
You mean a d35? I would take the d44a over the d35 all day…

@@deeppowhazylab 8.8 swap… stronger and more supported then the 35…. A super 35 is like a stock 8.8
