I’ve been there a few years ago, it’s so beautiful and mysterious. I didn’t see the hill though. I’m tempted to go back now, to feel the energy of the place again.

🧡🧡I live on the opposite side of the world from you, on the Korean Peninsula in Far East Asia. I have difficulty understanding English, so I can't fully grasp everything you're saying, but I think the stone is probably prehistoric. The Korean Peninsula has the most prehistoric stone tombs(DOLMEN) on Earth. Your Scottish landscape is truly breathtaking.
Beautiful video, love the music and the scenery. It is nice that people can go in, touch stones, feel the vibe. Just as you said.
The vibe is amazing there especially by the hill. Or should I say a pyramid. Or a something that is not natural at all. It is breathtaking.
@@mikebogatyrev3058 If the sheep don't mind the presence of these stones, then apparently they hold a positive welcoming energy. Also the chapel you shown us indeed feels modern compared to the contrast of the pre Stonehenge stones, in fact it looks so brand new - probably cos National Trust must have restored it to its former glory!
Fab video, fantastic, mysterious place. THank you, Mike and Vera for this virtual trip, we visited Avebury several times and it is unforgettable experience. It should be included in the list of Wonders of the World!
I certainly believe that this is one of the most amazing places on the planet. Time does something there. It almost stops at times.

I think Avebury was a Giant Aquatic Race Facility. The outer edges could be grandstands and the inner is the midfield like in car racing. Since the area was underwater during the period it was built, and what are all the other larger structures left from other civilizations of the past that aren't defensive in nature? A hippodrome or an Arena or a Colosseum, or a Theater. Imagine bridges like in racing for cars. We don't change as much as we think. We do adapt to the times and the technology. Could explain the rowing tradition in England.

Mind baffling how they manage to even cut such large stones from a very distant quarry, let alone CARRY them all the way with a distance similar to Central London to Reading town, except its by foot! A logical explanation has to be either some push operated bogie that required more than 20 people to achieve the task.
My fun memory of Avebury was running down the dip at 4:07 as a child and surprisingly I didn't fall over/injure myself, so a throwback. The most recent memory was with my university friend when he came over for a sleepover during the recess in December 2015 - we looked up the place and it said it was known to be haunted, well that Red Lion pub. If paranormal activity exists there, chances are the spirits are from the Tudor/Middle Ages era
Indeed! No doubt that the pub could be haunted: there was so much going on there! It is a very small but very busy and vibrant place!

I looked up the history of the Red Lion pub and apparently the paranormal activity involves things such as salt n pepper pots being thrown/missing from tables and its caused by a ghost of a lady named Florrie who was killed by her husband when she was seen with her new lover when he returned after fighting in the civil war of the 17th Century! Thats not only the case cos there were other people murdered in that same pub in that century - there have been some visitors who experienced their inn rooms being extremely cold even in the summer!!
Anyhow about the stones it is truly amazing how it was constructed of the whole circle by the pagans - plus I am glad to know it harbours positive welcoming energy
The stones were found locally and and can still be seen lying on the surface in certain places nearby. That said, still a very impressive feat moving and erecting them
@@stuartlloyd1746 Indeed, the Sarsen stones come from the downs near 2 miles east of Avebury , so they weren't quarried as stated in the vid.

That is so true. The chapel which we went to has so much history. When it was built people walked for 12 miles to join the Prayer there!

first time i went past that place i was driving a lorry. i was realy pushed for time etc and a bit aggitated with slowmoving traffic.. now i had no idea about the stones as never realy appealed to me stuff like that.. but as i got real close all of a sudden i felt relaxed like never before.. i stopped the lorry and just sat there for a minute still not knowing anything about the stones and not even looking to my left..... it was realy strange the feeling i got and then BAM i looked left and saw these magnificent stones. i saw a passer by walking and asked him what is this place and what are the big rocks in the field. he then told me its an ancient place etc and i was totally gobsmacked............ now i am not a believer in ghosts the paranormal witchcraft or any of that old mumbo jumbo, but when i say this place is special i mean it... ive been back there a couple of times and its like i go a bit weird when i get there, its like i dont have a care in the world and feel realy at peace....... you need to go there and try it for yourself... i do not get any feeling at all at stonehenge or amesbury, but this avebury place is on another level for me... i said about this to friend a year or so later and he was laughing his head, i said im not joking he said i know your not ive been there and the same thing happened to him...... nobody believed him but i did as i know what i felt and nothing could ever convince me otherwise.. my first time was definitely the best as it realy made such a dramatic difference to my whole day....... i will have to go back there again as i had sort of forgotten about this place..... its not creepy its very relaxing, you feel happy but dont know why ......

Then I thought that I was just a kid enjoying life and came back there when I was a student: same thing, and finally about few years ago: same thing. That place definitely has something that makes me feel at home, or at ease with myself
I visited this place for the first time today despite living just 20 minutes away and I can say I felt the exact same way. I also have never really believed the paranormal or anything like that but I definitely felt a relaxing and calming energy here that I’ve never felt anywhere else. I sat on the slightly raised up area and just looked at the stones with pure fascination and curiosity. It truly is an amazing place.

As is the case now (Mekka et al) these circles promised a clear path to the afterlife when visited and offered goods. It also generated income for those tending to the stones and the area😊.
But that doesn’t answer the question of how were they built. It seems that people were faced with the fact that it was there already

@@mikebogatyrev3058 seeing the Stone circle in Avebury was a amazing experience. I visited Silbury Hill first then went to see the Avebury Stones. The next day made a visit to Stonehenge. Avebury is a place I will want to go back. Maybe once a year.
@@mikebogatyrev3058 Yes we did see the tomb West Kennet Long Barrow. Then had a nice lunch in The Red Lion pub that is opposite the stone circle.
@@MrJasonsean Those are incredible places. Many years ago there was an article that they have found Blue Henge but I am not sure where it is. There is also a Wood Henge. Have you been there?

Be very careful on the roads, speeding traffic and nowhere to park other than the rip off prices of National Trust cashing in on a facility which should be free!
Mike. Time is insignificant here? Avebury is all about time. The stones stood there for ever? Actually, there is a depressing history of destruction, initially induced by the Church. The stones were quarried? No, they were not. Have a look at the Grey Weathers site.

Nope.
Sadly we are not related to the Megalith Builders. They were largely wiped out when the Beaker People moved in.
And with that, our ancestral link to the architects of these megaliths has been severed.
Still.
Perhaps we are the cultural descendants, if not the biological.

@@mikebogatyrev3058 the 'beaker people' did not wipe out anyone. It was a just a new way of doing things. This is just an obsolete academic presumption. Read #Francis Pryor Britain BC - 'we are the same people we always were'. Blue Stones at Stonehenge from the Preseli mountains of Wales, the DNA of human remains of the era that have been in west Britain since mesolithic era and are still present in west Britain today.

I know this is an old post, but it was the beaker people who likely built these stone structures.
They built it for God, The Sun behind the sun. How else could you get all those participants over hundreds of years. The serpent and the egg is why they built it! It is all about going within - gettin in the mix with your opposite divine nos in the egg The egg with a serpent a spiral)--going through the process of love - becoming a Vitruvius LIGHT man with the female head on it as well and becoming God's vessel for His Design!
