Just found this video. Beautiful scenery, appropriate music, aerial views enhance the experience. Respectful to the ancient. Nice couple, great job. Enjoyed it immensely
Doll Tor is my favourite place, used to wild camp down there and the Ladys but never left a trace out of respect but now days there is not the same respect, nice video peeps, enjoyed it
There are many things that need fixing in the UK and even just England but after Covid, it’s these types of videos and getting out there myself that make appreciate how incredibly lucky we are to have such landscapes and history. I am also incredibly lucky to live in Derbyshire myself. All these are now on my list for my next outing, thank you guys! Even the first stone circle, looking in the background at the scenery makes you understand why those ancient people felt something spiritual or magical when they made those circles
We couldn't agree more. We also live in Derbyshire and know how incredibly lucky we are to have these places on our doorstep. We are so glad you found value in this video and it's served you exactly as we'd want it to. You'll have to let us know how you get on when you visit the circles. Enjoy your adventure ✌️
9 ladies is my favourite. been there dozens of times, with the kids and on my own. tend to go there for most vernal events and pagan celebrations, summer & winter solstices, equinoxes, full moons, beltane, lammas etc. Had some amazing times drumming, firespinning and met lots of amazing people up there over the last 5 years
A great video I've only been to the peak district once when I was 12 I'm almost 54. It was dovedale and I loved it we were given dinner by nuns at an abbey.
The last stone circle that you went to was by far the best. I’m not sure if you know this and I don’t know if it’s intentional or pure coincidence but each stone in that last circle match up with peaks in the distance I’ve seen them and they line up with win hill and several other peaks in the distance so I’m not sure if it was some sort of mapping point thousands of years ago maybe it would be worth a trip back and see which stones Logan up with which peaks see if you can work out from that what it was used for.
Hi dragon 🤗 welcome aboard! Thanks so much for watching our videos! Hope you are enjoying them 👍 feel free to share with someone you might think would also enjoy too 😄
Thank you Simon, much appreciated for you watching and leaving us some lovely comments :) Glad to hear it's helped you discover some more of the Peak District, we'll hopefully catch you in the next one 😊
@@HayandKyle The Peak District is a favourite place of ours, I've visited since I was a child and still frequent it. I will be doing some Viking photos and fight footage up at Snake woodland after Christmas, should be a hoot. Cheers 😊
Me and Yolande( my wife) went to the Peak district in 2019. Lots of beautiful spots over there! We saw three of the stone circles you mention. And indeed : the nine ladies (nr.4)in the woods...it was already afternoon and too crowdy. There was a group of people having a picnic between the stones. We went to Arbor Low too and we thought the stones were lying flat on purpose...because when you go to other places in England or France or elsewhere...you'll not find anything like this!
Sounds like you had a fantastic trip, glad you managed to see a few of the spots in the video 🤗 Thank you for watching and leaving comments, we appreciate it ✌️
Always enjoy videos of the peak district. fantastic views & music, and Kyle, as an amateur landascape photographer myself, Id like to congratulate you on some stunning compositions. GL to you both!
Thank you so much for watching and commenting :) We appreciate it!! I, (Kyle) do enjoy getting out with the camera when I can, it's not hard to put compositions together when the Peak District is your subject 👌Thanks again, see you in thr next one ✌️
Wow wow wow! Best one yet. Love the photography, love the stone circles and the added romantic element! Well done both of you. Looking forward to more! ❤❤
Very similar small stone circles with similar number of stones often 9 are found n many other areas up and down Briton. Love to know there purpose . it is a mystery we will probably never know the answer too!
There are no pits under the stones so its generally assumed they never stood upright .the cove which was a grave on the circle and a skeleton was found during excavation.
This is a great new video guys. I love the balance of video and photography you've used in this one. The bullet time attachment for the Insta360 is ideal for spinning in stone circles too, isn't it. I've visited all but your number 1, so that can go on my list.
Thanks so much for your comment Miles. We really enjoyed putting this one together and the use of photography and the Insta 360 was a lot of fun to incorporate. Glad we showed you something new, you'll have to let us know when you make it up to Hordron Edge :) ✌️
Great video once again , im getting through them slowly,,,,,,,,,at 17.40 in this video you are holding something up in the air and the footage is circling you ,how was this done ?
Hi Ian, thanks for your comment. This shot is achieved with our Insta 360 camera and a selfie stick that comes with it. It's a clever bit of kit that edits out the stick so it appears invisible and floating 👍
A really magical piece about some magical places, well done, maybe one day we will see you on the wirral...keep well and safe, best wishes from the wirral.E.
Thank you for watching and your kind words :) We agree, the Peak District is full of incredible places and we'll be showing more of it as much as we can in future videos. Hopefully see you in the next one. Cheers! ✌️
You guys are amazing ill be sure to shout you out on my channel as I visit some of these places. Wish you had put the names up on screen so I can screen shot them
I did a walk recently which visited most of these places 😍 I couldn’t find Doll Tor though! I found the Ardle Stone and was expecting it to be close but the forest behind was very overgrown.. could you give me some instructions how to find it please ? 💚💚💚
Certainly! Doll Tor is a little hard to find because there is no direct path to it. It's tucked away in the corner of a farmers field opposite Stanton Moor entrance (west) You do have to cross the field diagonally to reach the trees at the bottom. Our opening drone shot for that section better shows the general direction across the field. Hard to explain in the comments 😅
Stands for thousands of years, vandalised by an idiot. Mindless thugs. I'm glad you are keeping the location of that Bothie secret. Great vlog, thanks for uploading.
@@countytopper8836 cheers, we appreciate that. We plan to cover the whole peak district for the top spots to explore and then branch out into the UK and Europe. Lots planned ✌️
