I just did my daughter’s , pretty recently lightened, level 9 hair to this too but I used a 4N, 6MB in the back and some area on the sides and then mixed a new formula, 6MB, 8MB with a small amount of 4N for the leave out blonde because if I hadn’t, she’d look like upside down Cruella Deville with big chunks of white looking hair, compared to the rest. I really tried not to get the front money piece in but the color touched it in a couple spots so no choice but to add my lighter shade. It has incredible dimension! It actually shines! I couldn’t believe it; she loves it and doesn’t even wish we didn’t have to run the color through the front 🙏.
I’m so incredibly grateful for the value that you give me for free ! I KNOW how much time, energy and effort you have to put into these videos. Idk how you run a business and a second one from home, but I love that you do!
You’re my personal trainer and you don’t even know me!❤

Wow! You just uploaded this! I LOVE YOU! I’m an artist, but I was heading into interior decoration until watching all your videos and using your very clear instructions. I’ve LOVED doing hair since I was a child and color theory is used in all art. Also I absolutely love client work, find success in the satisfaction that I see on my client’s face when my, very hard work, my attention to detail, the research I do BEFORE I begin, my perfectionism, is appreciated! Of course, being paid for your hard work is important but I find true fulfillment and find true success when my clients are truly appreciate the value I have to offer. I would love to share with you some of the work I’ve done, just following your advice!

Thank you so much! And I’d love to see! It’s really interesting how as artist, we can branch out into other areas of interest and be fulfilled. I’m glad you found passion in hair and truly enjoy it! Some aren’t so lucky when joining the industry. Thank you so much for watching!

@@hairbykristijennings6648 I’m not a licensed cosmetologist yet and was deciding on whether to go for a degree in Interior Decorating or Cosmetology, but when I noticed the huge difference in industry income standards, even owning my own interior design business wouldn’t be close to what is possible for a talented, skilled colorist and stylist. You for ex, are passionate about creating for your clients behance styles and looks, that make them willing to drive 2 states away to visit you! To me, that’s success! I have watched many UA-cam channels (hairdressers) and learned from them, for many years but when I found you, I just KNEW immediately that I could relate and easily understand your style of work. I’ve safely, thoughtfully and slowly (to be honest) brought my 14 year old daughter from a level 4 natural, to a beautiful level 10 with ashy/pearl tones. I was so proud of myself until it began to grow out and she decided to “go back to her natural color for a little while “ I was so mad because she didn’t get that she can’t “just let it grow out” She’s going to look like a bum! We live in a rough city so it wasn’t long before I was able to point out exactly what she’d look like.
I then watched a video where you said, if you put a dark permanent hair color in your hair and decide you want to go blonde again don’t come back to me for a while! That makes perfect sense so I’m slowly putting it some demi 3A and 4N and going over her roots through the ends . She can’t even tell I did anything but I gave her a great root shadow! !

I’ve noticed that you do most money pieces for clients who part their hair to the side but today, teenagers MUST have a very defined middle part ALL THE TIME! Do you have any tips for getting the best results for a middle part money piece?

I still think it depends on what their hairline is like. If they have a round or straight forehead then you usually can go straight down the Mohawk, 3-4 foils depending on how defined of a money piece they want. If they have a widow’s peak, or even a larger hairline that a foil can’t reach either side, going from the center out to the sides 2-3 foils then doing another 2-3 foils connecting across the center will make it brighter
