  • My client came in wanting the color “greige” which I had never heard of before. Today we are doing a retouch of that color we did at her previous appt.
    How to apply her ROOT SHADOW, BALAYAGE thru her ends to add extra brightness and foiling thru her roots to soften them up.
    Formulations included.

    So I love love LOVE your videos, especially the longer ones. The longer the video, the better, in my opinion anyways! I have been binge watching your channel, I think you’re the best as far as teaching and explaining your techniques, which are also my favorite techniques I’ve seen on youtube! Please always do longer detailed videos or at least do them often! I know I totally am always looking forward to seeing you pop up with a new video! Your amazing and I have learned so many great things from you. Thanks so much for taking the time and effort to do this for us! 💜🖤💙

    Beautiful like always! This is what I’m going for! I still can’t believe just a color remover turned my hair blonde after it was red. All I did was put a Demi color in 7A on my roots then a gold violet, Demi toner on my blonde. I think the reason why my hair turn back blonde was because I used to highlift red. So obviously what was under that was blonde. I’ll be using Schwarzkopf blonde me Lightner to do my baby lights when needed and Igora vibrance Demi toner in 9,5-1 as my toner. I also will be using Demi vibrance in 7 ash as my root tap. I just do a root tap, instead of pulling it down farther. I love the way you foil! That way when people wear their hair back, the highlights look good instead of looking like a straight up line.

    Thank you for sharing your technique! Don’t you find that you get spotting when you brush through the lowlighted section without detangling it first?
    I’m a perfectionist and just learning how to do root stretches/dimension drops and I find it sooooo incredibly hard to not get small little spots throughout the hair.
    They aren’t visible in my end result, but the fact that I can see them drives me insane 🤡
    Is this common with these type of services? Am I just overthinking it?
    Thanks in advance :)

  • @katiecollins1895
    @katiecollins1895 Рік тому

    Ok idk when you posted this video so if I ask a ? If you will still be able to respond but hopefully you can so here goes…. So when I do a “money piece” I have my own kinda way of doing it… but I’ve been watching videos on your techniques of doing the money piece… and tried it on my friend and failed HORRIBLY!! I don’t think I left enough hair out in between each foil while doing around her hair line…. Do you have any suggestions?? And what do you prefer… while say doing a balayage & root shadow , do you prefer to do the front “money piece” first then the rest of the balayage? That always makes me soo nervous because I know that area processes that quickest. And 2nd or 3rd lol 😂 ?…. So after you do all the lightener, you wash out; shampoo only and then on damp hair you do the root shadow and tone the blonde at Same time correct?? Thank you!! I would greatly appreciate if you could answer!! ❤

    • @hairbykristijennings6648
      @hairbykristijennings6648  Рік тому +1

      Hmmm let me see if I can answer….. If you don’t over lap you should be fine with fooling around the face first. I always just do baby lights with hardly a subsection. I would let the root shadow sit and then tap the money piece the last 5 minutes or so. I shadow or tone different for every client tho……
