Its just all practice...knowing exactly where and when to jump and what weapons to get and when to use them....and dont go backwards...thats when u run into problems with the repeating constant enemies killing u from every direction..

This whole walkthrough makes this game look deceptively simple. I wonder if I can beat it in the same time frame now instead of the hundreds of thousands of millions of hours I spent screaming and cussing and throwing my controller in my youth as I vowed to kill all the eagles in the world.
+Niko Skiljo Riiiiiiight, and you had to pick the expendable turtle for the right level so you still had the ones with striking range (Donatello and Leo) for when you got far enough ahead? Damn, Raph was worthless in that game.

This was the OG game. I was obsessed with this game. I would spend hours and hours playing this at my grandparent's house. My grandmother would make breakfast for us and I would scarf down my food just so I could get back to my favorite video game, Lol! Fun times to be a kid back then. Now I'm a 35 year old married man and a father of 2 (daughter 3 yrs, son 18 mo) Thanks for posting this.
It's crazy looking back at games you grew up with, just to see some one beating it in under an hour. When I was young I would rent a nes game after school Friday and hope I could beat it by Sunday evening when I had to return it... Good video though, thank you for posting it
you made it looks like kids play. I used to gt killed so badly. as a kid my reflexes weren't reacting quick enough to beat the game. I got older and finally beat it. this made it look like I was such a weak ninja
At least you got through it. I know I got to the statue, I was then defeated and had to go all the back to 6-1. I haven't played it since. I was beyond P.O.'d when I had to go allllll the way back.
NewGamingOrder trust me I used to get myself killed all the ducking time and it was a great game but I still couldn't beat it and I probably can't beat it now
NewGamingOrder same here, my autism wouldn't able to finish this game because I have shaking hands which is it's the hands of stressed out, but when I keep watching the game plays, I get a little better.
I was going on 8 yrs old in '89 when this came out on NES, and my two cousins would play it day in and out. One night I decided to watch while in the pitch dark...SCARED THE SHIIII OUT OF ME! The soundtrack was haunting, every stage! Guess I never forgotten about it, which is why I'm here watching this video. Still eerie to hear it, but nothing too bad lol. I actually love it now.
I just finished the game for the first time ever a week ago, it was nice to hear that amazing track for the credits. They knew they had to save the best for last.
DragonInferno99 Ω contra? The one i started with 3 lives and ended up with 13? No deaths no health was misssing, for like 200 times straight? Puff. And i didnt even remember winning gaiden 1, even just once.
I never made it past 5-2. Frustrating memories, but also why I still enjoy platformers like LittleBigPlanet and Ratchet & Clank even today. Thanks for the fun video. It only took 30 years for me to see the end of that game.
Yeah that spot was a bitch lol. I never got past 6-2 or 6-3. Until later I put an emulator on my Pc and used cheats just to see the rest of the game lol. Was difficult games and took timing to another level.
@@jtuck8464 That's funny I could never get past 6-2 6-3, it was those 2 dogs that always got me I think, never knew I was this close to beating the game
I remember playing this when I was like 5 or 6 and would always restart the game to see the cutscenes since they were just absolutely jaw dropping for it's time, don't think I was able to get much further than level 3 until I was older tho. Decided to play this again recently after probably over a decade and was surprisingly able to get to 6-3 with not much problem, doubt I would have been able to beat the boss either way, so I decided to finally watch the ending all these years.
This was my absolute favorite game as a kid, i dont even know how many hours of my life i spent playing it! Thank you so much for posting this video, i just showed my kids the game I grew up on! Merry Christmas!
That was great work. I have never played a Ninja Gaiden game or any game on the NES platform, but I had my expectation blown away by what team pulled off considering the hardware limitations. Your play through made the game look smooth and probably a lot easier than it is to play, thanks for keeping the cut scenes in, it made it like watching a short film.
Playing on the switch version & still as hard as ever. Stuck on stage 6.2 even tho I finished it 30+ yrs ago as a kid (countless deaths later). Thanks for the impressive upload.
I'm 36 and playing a lot of NES games for the first time. Tough aren't they?! The tactic here seems to be to just keep moving, don't stop to kill those fecking birds. Noted.
Well, I grew up playing the ZX Spectrum and occasionally the C64. I can barely recall completing anything. The NES seems to have one foot firmly in the door of the impossible variety of games, whilst having tantalisingly awesome gameplay and graphics by comparison .
Impossible isn't the word for it. It's amazing how much hell they could put in a little 8bit cartridge. Still a fun game and one way or another...it's a goal in life to beat this game.
If I had a dollar for every damn time I fell off or completely missed a cliff due to those f*cking birds, I'd be a damn millionaire. I still to this day have never beaten this game. I'll get to the part when you right before you fight Jaque or whatever the fuck his name is(after about 20,000 times mind you) just to die and go all the way back to the scene after you fight his dad. I swear I'll never play that damn game again. I rented part two as a kid and how the hell I beat it is beyond me. But I swear, I'm gonna be this game one day. I may have to find some damn cheat codes, but I will beat this hard ass game.
Damn dude, you made this look easy. It's one of the hardest games on the NES, lol! I'm incredibly impressed at how small the ending credits was. For such an amazing game, it only had a handful of people working on it!
I beat this game the hard way, then only figured out that the jump-slash special weapon was the most powerful. You can kill a boss in 2-3 hits because it does continuous damage when you use it. Best weapon of the game.
Damn! I almost cry watching this..... many childhood memories came back to my mind, the 3 ninja gaiden games were absolutely fenomenal, i spend so many nights playing this hahaha!!!! Love the music, the story, the graphics..... excelent game! Thanks for sharing this!!!! 👏💯😍

Only veeeery few 'jewels' out there. And they always fuck up on the most fundamental thing; gameplay. Gameplay is all this game has, and it was more than sufficient.

I didn't ask my praents for game titles specifically very often, but this was the second, the first being Battletoads. I usually hired games to try them out, and this was by far the hardest series on Nintendo. Contra and Battletoads required some skill but this was top tier. Great playthrough, and yeah you got pretty low on fourth boss lol... but it happens to everyone at some point. i'm sure you've done some savage playthroughs without even getting hit no doubt.

I have to admit you have to be something special to complete this game without dying atall, to this day is still one of the most frustrating & hardest games I've ever played.

Once again another fantastic title from Tecmo! Ninja Gaiden 1 2 & 3! for the NES system! Was simply one of the best & greatest games of all time in a line of so many! That is why I say NES Super NES and Sega Genesis! are the greatest video games & greatest video game makers of all time! you can simply sit back & play these games & bring back Nostalgia & memories over the years! & not to mention this game was very challenging we spent a lot of days & nights trying to accomplish this game! with plenty of pizza snacks & Coca-Cola to boot LOL LOL LOL with friends & family!! from the neighborhood pulling all-nighters all the time LOL LOL so sit back & enjoy and remember power to all the players & do yourself a favor out there always put God Almighty!! first & keep him right there thank you! This was one of the most angering games I have played. Endless mercenaries spawning in a arc, you get beyond that, something knocks you back, and when you try to advance again, another endless mercenary spawn arcs at you because you forgot and knocks you back farther ARRRGH

My game...26 Year ago....!!!!
Exactly the same!
I have to admit you have to be something special to complete this game without dying atall, to this day is still one of the most frustrating & hardest games I've ever played.
Well done, sir. Bless your rubber thumbs, and may all 8 bits feel your doom, lol.
games like this need to be released on the Switch on their store.. such great memories here watching this
NES classic edition conformed. Thumbs up !
shit,i m gonna buy it.
Real stuff though;
Ryu going through all that trouble, looking for his old man, *_Forced to fight his old man,_* and Foster orders Irene to kill him?!? Irene captured, held hostage, ordered to kill the guy who *_PREVENTED HER BEING SACRIFICED TO THE DEMON,_* so Foster could get the *_Destroyed_* Demon Statues???
Tell me these 2 don't deserve a *_Permanent_* vacation in the Colorado Rockies; Away from all the chaos.....
This is pretty damn impressive!
The thing I love about NES games, you can't be carried by a hand. Everything moves so fast you have to succeed or fail.
BEST GAME EVER FROM THE 80s! ME AND MY BROTHRS AND FATHER LOVED THIS GAME! TOO BAD THEY DONT MAKE THEM LIKE THIS NO MORE!
Youre insane if you think games havent gotten better lmfao
This was definitely a love/hate game. This is NES hard. You made it look so easy,I tip my hat to you, good sir.
great playing skills by the way
I have always wanted to know how the game goes and how it ends. Thanks for uploading this to UA-cam.
Shit! You did remember my childhood .. I saw your video and I was pretending and imagining had control in my hands.
when i was 7 i made it to the boss on level 5-4. looking back that's an amazing accomplishment.
I always got stuck on that pit where you had to let the bird knock you over the pit to the ground. Amazing work! Worth the watch!!
he would've died on stage 6-2 but a bird hit him and saved him from falling into a pit byt other than that, awesome playthrough
Regis Dabney
If you are talking about the moment on 27:50, that fall was intended. The bird will always appear there and with enough health to spare it is much safer way to cross that pit.
hazeroid lol
doesn't matter if you win by an inch or a mile, winning's winning😊
Ironic
The artwork combat style dialogues most of all the sountrack of thus particular game was way ahead of its time period.
Wow, in stage 6-2, 27.55 he used the bird to jump out of a hole. I think it was on purpose.
if so, thats Legend skill
27:48
Yes had to do it ...skill bro
I beat this game alot of times when i was in elementary school, I'm now 50 years old, great memories
God bless all!! 2017!
What this game have a really bad design, thats The reason of the game be so hard
this seemed to be a technical marvel back in the day to me. those cut scenes were top notch
Nice story!
Damn...you beat this game in 40 minutes?! It used to take me at least an hour or more...I used to get so frustrated after dying on jaquo then have to do that whole level over again...crazy thing is id do anything to go back to those days. Nothing will ever replace these classic games! Thanks for sharing this.
Very skilled, man! 💪
absolutely stunning played this on nitendo platform 8 bit when i was 6 just briliant reminds me of the childhood
A very fun yet unbelievably difficult game. I think 6-2 is as far as I ever got.
lol same
you have do an glitch to do it
you have do an glitch to do it
you have do an glitch to do it
Back then games surpassed our expectation. Nowadays most games don't meet our expectation lol
Ninja Gaiden 1 has the second *BEST video game BGM of ALL-TIME*
(Re 2 ps1 has the 1# bgm)
At 27:50 where the bird kept you from falling into the pit. That was insane. Awesome playthrough.
best ninja game ever in my opinion
micolino83 tu second was more dynamic. The first one was the most difficult
Such a great and challenging game. No youtube walk thrues back then it was tedious trail and error.
This was one of the most angering games I have played. Endless mercenaries spawning in a arc, you get beyond that, something knocks you back, and when you try to advance again, another endless mercenary spawn arcs at you because you forgot and knocks you back farther ARRRGH
we love what we hate
Very well done. I did not think it was possible to beat the last 3 bosses without windmill. I always used it to finish the game. Congratulations!
