Jonathon is the real end game boss for theory crafters. And theory crafters are the end game for GGG devs, it’s pretty meta. 🙌🏻 I think all of the drama is part of it, and I’m in for it. I think the main issue with the massive power gap between optimized and unoptimized builds is the respec cost. Part of the fun of POE is building your character. But unless you are very dedicated to studying the entire skill tree, you are probably going to make a pretty poor build just in the course of playing the game. This is like 99% of players. So eventually you'll hit some kind of wall with your build and have to respec. And if this cost is too high, you start to feel like you wasted 40 hours making a bricked character. This isn't fun, in fact it's horrible. And what it does is it highly encourages people to just follow build guides and have basically no understanding of the skill tree. I feel like this is the worst possible outcome. If it wasn't super expensive to respec, then people would be way more comfortable with experimenting. Maybe they use a build guide, maybe they tweak it a bit, or maybe they just do their own thing and tweak as needed. But with the high respec costs, you're pretty much forced to use a guide or suffer.

Monk-Sorc hybrid has been so fun for me. No build guide, no nothing, I just naturally fell into building that way just based on what looked fun and I've been having a blast.
My Ice Mage sorcereress bled into Monk side of skill tree after I experimented with Elemental Invocation and I had an ice comet and frostwall falling down on EVERY enemy I froze. Mobs were shattered. Then I had 7 ice comets on standby with invocation after that mob freeze happened. Absolutely insane time to live for those 4 days I stumbled on it myself, then wake up and google what the heck just happened to my comet screen 😆
Been following Palsteron for years in poe 1, a passionate player, great sense of humour and a hell of a lot of knowledge about the game, I have learned a lot about the game from his content, great to see you interview him Tri.
Regarding the skill system in PoE 1 vs PoE 2, I'm kinda torn. On the one hand, I like it, but I'm also seeing a dumbed down version of what the PoE 1 system was.I understand PoE1's problem of being forced to use certain gear pieces for the sockets they provide. However, there was a much simpler solution to it.. Move the sockets from the gear to the separate overlay but keep the skill gem leveling, support gem leveling and everything else as is. Make it experience-based rather than drop-based, so people can farm for longer in a lower level zone to get more power. Additionally, at the moment, supports are super bland in that they are binary, and they have no sense of progression. This tier system makes it so that every support has a single level, it is either at max power or it isn't. For instance, the brutality support grants 35% more phys damage. There is no scaling once you select it, and hence, there is no investment or attachment to the gem. I can swap it out or in anytime freely, which provides some flexibility but takes away a lot from the progression and the character building aspect. If the brutality gem instead went from say 30% to 40% with levels 1-10 (or 1-20), it would give me a reason to think about whether I want to level it more. For example, if I have a lower strength than what a higher level gem requires, i might keep it at a lower level. PoE 1 nailed this - the only issue it had was that these gems were tied to gear. If PoE 2 can keep everything else from PoE 1 but just move the gems out of gear, it would be great. At the moment, it feels a lot like Diablo 3's rune system where you can just swap runes in and out of skills without any real investment or player agency. This makes the skills feel bland and superficial.
dont forget that we are lacking a lot of supports and even a lot of skill gems with not every weapon implemented. i think in the foreseeable future it will be more complex regarding builds, and easier regarding trying out and switching.
Regarding the respec. There is also the option that if they remove the cost or extremely lower it. Then when it goes "live" and they revert that change people are going to freak out. Hopefully they will give out a "full respec" when they do these changes, compared to lowering the cost too much
I feel like you should keep costs as is for respecs with the addition of 1 respec point per level. You can save points up for a full respec for endgame if you happen to brick your build.
auto attack is the strongest until late game because it's built around new players. The whole game is really. They should have probably swapped earlier to where you could do more damage with other abilities vs bosses
yeah. For crossbow specifically, the auto on crossbows is stronger unless you specifically build for the ice-frag combo, then ice-frag becomes crazy strong. And it takes the gems to be level 5 or so before the scaling works out to be more damage than auto. Auto stays strong still though
Funny thing about that bell... You dont HAVE to use default attack to either charge it or hit it for damage. I used flurry and ice strike and both melted everyone and everything.
As soon as I put Scattershot support on my Ice Bolt skill for my merc crossbow, I felt that kind of power, especially when fighting against the heavy enemies that can just steamroll over my ice walls anyway because I get to hit them 3 times instead of just 1 time and then they are blocked for a while, both from hurting me but from me hurting them as well. With Sattershot support on, I feel like it does much more bursty damage.
Yes, Scattershot Support on Glacial Rounds are an amazing combo vs bosses and heavy enemies. I've been using it for the better part of my playthrough, and when I tried to swap it around... man, things just didn't feel right. XD Permafrost Fork for freezing trash, Glacial Scattershot for big enemies.
I also used cast on freeze comet, it was absolutely stupidly broken and deserved the nerf, you know what happened once it got nerfed? I kept playing the same build cuz it was never designed around abusing such a broken combination. I didn’t need to respec, I didn’t need to do anything, actually it freed up a lot of mana so I could focus on more defensive and crit focused passives instead of mana regen. If someone just makes builds around abusing a broken interaction, they deserve the suffering. Plus you don’t want to make respecing too easy otherwise we ll just have he metaslaves changing builds for every boss
What many who complain dont see is that, this one shot way of playing might be something many players want, but it clearly is not their vision for the game. I also heaared things like "why did they have to nerf it so early" while I think it was the perfect time for it. They dont do the same mistake as D4 and fix broken things before people get used to it and get hurt more later down the road.
ive thought about it, and tbh, it will never be able to truly turn into poe 1 simply because of how combat works. theres ALWAYS going to be a certain "pace" the game has. now if youre referring to content bloat, i think thats the best kind of bloat to have. theres a dozen things to do in poe 1, and its overwhelming as hell, but once you know what everything does its like.... theres something to do for everybody. at any rate, theres only so much this game will be able to become like poe 1. the skeleton of the game itself is different, and so is the philosophy of the game. dont worry too much about it becoming like poe 1.
@@wowitsfrostygames155 Problem is a lot of poe 1 has been a trial for poe 2 and a lot of people hate it. The gutting of skills, the absolute loot desert. Sadly because the devs really really want poe2 they shoved stuff people didnt want into poe1 and force it.
It is already once you reach Endgame. They put Breach, Deli and Ritual inside, all blaster mechanics where you need to kill as many monsters as possible. Would make more sense to bring Metamorphosis and Beast reworked into PoE2
I had no idea I needed this game, but my girlfriend and I are totally hooked! She woke up this morning and was already in Act 3, all by herself, using Ranger. I was watching her take down bosses and I couldn’t help but feel so proud of her. It’s crazy how much she’s enjoying it!
I like the idea of free or something like 1g capped respec costs for the campaign and then ramp it a bunch at endgame. Allows players to explore and not brick characters while learning the game. Then makes decisions matter much more endgame.
My feelings on the support gem system is that I don't find that there are enough good support gems. I feel like all the supports I dont already have in my build are mediocre at best and therefore I don't really have an incentive to add more sockets to my skills
I wish there was an intermediate screen between the recommended support gems (which are often mediocre) and all gems. There should be a way to look up all support gems that work with a specific skill without using a third party tool.
Around 4:15 Palsteron suggests that POE 1 giving in to the people who like to make super OP characters made it into a niche game, and that POE 2 trying to prevent this is going to make it reach a wider audience. He's wrong. Most people who regularly play ARPGs enjoy playing and making OP characters as an end goal. And GGG preventing this from happening in POE 2 is what's going to prevent it from keeping the size of audience that 1 did over the long term. It has a huge audience right now, but people will play until they finish the campaign or get bored and leave. The crazy power potential of 1 is what kept ARPG players coming back for 12 years, and it's a potential that 2 just doesn't have.
Last Epoch jas the best crafting hands down. Its just the game becomes traditional ARPG slop in endgame. If the gameplay isnt engaging I'm not interested enough to play. So far loving PoE2, and would love a crafting system with the anount of control Last Epoch offers.
Last Epoch has the best crafting, trading, and loot filter system. I just wish that they paid more attention to how the controller feels. I won't play it again until most of the menus are completely redesigned layout-wise for controller. As of right now, POE2 has the perfect controller experience. D4 is a close second, then POE1 is just fine with a handful of ignorable annoyances and 5+ year-long bugs to adapt to.
@@ex0stasis72 Last Epoch definitely need to fix some of their interface but the overall layouts are fine imo. Back when I was playing I'd play controller exclusively, but some of the menus don't work well or at all with controller. I'd have to switch back and forth, and sometimes be locked into M&K or some ability wouldn't work or some other weird thing. Because of a bug I assume.
I feel the same way. I absolutely loved LE's crafting system, but got burnt out with the lack of endgame content. I was kind of hoping the new crafting system for PoE 2 was going to feel like a mix of PoE 1 and LE.
@Wintercide My problem with the stash tabs UI in Last Epoch is that I can't change stash tabs while my controller focus is in my inventory grid. After I find an item t I want to move to my stash, I have to press left left left left left left etc., switch stash tabs, then right right right right etc., then move it over to the active stash tab. I don't recall specifics, but I thought I remember it not being possible with the button layout on the screen because the controller bumpers and/or triggers already had existing functionality on the inventory side, even when in the stash UI.
@@ex0stasis72Controller experience is great, agreed. However the mouse utilization in controller mode is rubbish. Even though I'm playing with controller, 95% of the time I wanna do my inventory management and crafting with my mouse - it's just soooo much faster and more natural. Not allowing us to properly use the mouse to move gear around in our stash and equipment slots is a horrible choice imo.
Regarding pathing on boss attacks ~26:10 is movement speed is too slow. I suspect when they rebuilt for WASD they didn't account for the slower movement speed. Dodge roll there becomes a crutch because you have no other way to run out of the path. That specific scenario of "obvious telegraph of a move I can't escape w/o dodge roll immunity" both feels defeating for mid/early players while trivializes for those who can get the timing down w/dodge, while also creating a "oh, answer to all bosses is dodge roll" which is not a good feeling either.
Honestly, some boss attacks are way too fast, way too large and way too damaging to the point that they basically become the boss deciding that you're dead. Also, some bosses have unreasonably good tracking on their slams, there's nothing quite like narrowly dodging only to get the boss slam landing directly on your head. It's weird because bosses tend to either take me 10, with _very_ little middle ground, and in the latter case, most of the time it's a single move that is responsible for the vast majority of deaths. The worst was the +10% fire res boss in act three, who has a completely untelegraphed triple slam (it's literally impossible to tell whether he's doing a single slam or triple slam until after the first slam) where each follow up attack has ~45 degree tracking, is faster and does more damage than the last. So many times I would dodge the first, get stunned by the second and killed by the third, or narrowly dodge the first two and get one shot by the third.
They brought up an interesting topic. Boss trivilization. First two characters (one a bricked monk) have nothing on my ice monk. Spent two days on normal with la ranger, it was doable but slow. My monk 10 second boss kills, easy clears.
** quick update I took a short break and made 3 more attempts and finally made it and hour later. ** One of the issues I have ran into is I built my warrior to be a true tank so I absorb a huge amount of damage and heal myself back to full. This means I sacrificed a lot of damage for survivability. Enter the Honor system for the Sekhamas trail. It total negates my build. I have tried for 4 hours today and same result no honor because I have to get up close and personal and take the hits. I survive for a very long time but I have no damage so eventually I just lose all my honor. What If you were a thorns build that mechanic is negate by this trail. I am not sure what the solution is but I will leave my feedback for them.
Tempest Bell triggers off of anything. You need to build up Combo with a melee skill (might need the staff specifically) but after it's down it triggers off HITS, meaning anything. Including spells. I was playing coop with a Sorc and the rooms full of Sparks triggered it like crazy!
I have a really good suggestion to fix finding rares in maps. Make it so that when you kill the first rare you find it shows a pointer/guide that shows the direction of the nearest rare so you have a better sense of where to head next, similar to the escape challenge in sanctum (trial of the sekhemas) for the first couple of rares until it follows the same system where it shows the skulls when 200 monsters are remaining. Or just change map layouts/size entirely. If they’re going to stick with the current system
Got the pillar of God yesterday. Your gonna laugh...it dropped from Miller at the beginning. I have noticed making a new character farming Miller boss dropping loot in stash deleting repeating has gotten me 3 quad tabs of uniques and over 30 exalted they may want to change rates on starting tutorial boss...
Used to key farm in this way on guildwars. Intro quest used to five a key and around 4k gold. Takes roughly 6 hours then story completion reward was keys. These were cash shop chest keys
I chose Sorc and I wreck bosses but am weak against mobs with Ice Wall build. Also I'm not a veteran and even I stumbled across CoF OP Build without watching guides. PoE2 isn't nearly as complicated as the first one.
I played witch with pets from the beginning and had first very rough time especially with act 1 and 2 bosses. I didn't take SRS and minions died very quick early on. In cruel however, I killed everything in seconds. The power curve is really weird.
One of my biggest gripes with the game is ritual circle spawn in maps is so broken, sometimes u have 2square meter to stand, cant go out of circle and monsters mass spawn and lock u down..sometimes i skip cause its not worth the poss death and exp loss. Witch is a waste since ritual is fun! Hope for a fix
I’m chilling through t6 maps rn as a warrior. Giants blood is awesome, having two handed maces EQing everywhere is great. Exactly what I wanted from Poe 1 finally realized. Sad they gutted frostbreath though, my baby was massacred.

Also another feedback;-Not sure if that's possible or not but, i'd really want to be able to level up the abilties in weapons! i play mage, i dont need to change my weapon as often as attackers! and actually having fun with the abilities in weapons if i could level them instead of changing the item complately 😭
Monk is awesome I heard Johnathon say the lighting plus bell was strong so I just been going with that and I been killing it going for plus lighting and lighting damage minus Rez
I laughed when PALSTERON literally spoke my thoughts out loud about "I just want to be a warrior and kill every single enemy individually and for it to take a long time."
the problem is if you do get those straight maps then the other maps feel worse ... they actively removed the straight maps and the extreme cells maps so the variations would feel less bad
I actually like that map size . I hate how small they are in newer arpgs. I want to have to search for the boss or actually “play” the game to get to the next level.
Again a great exchange so good to ar abot this beautiful game ! For the campain i love the bigmap because you have to explore it, yeah its long if you take it as a poe1 or diablo map but their is so much stuff to see enjoy that it feel real and with a lot of world building. With my reroll i go so fast on the map because you understand how they are build and where to look for the exit and you go way way way faster
Pal spitting facts. Fomo really messes up EA. My HOT TAKE: Easy fix, EA characters and stashes be separate from the launch game, like PBE's. GGG gets REAL testers with this, and some Fomo gets relieved.
That's already the case isn't it? The thing is they didn't really listen to much of the actual beta feedback on builds (I can't believe all these interactions weren't found) and are treating this ea as beta. Surprised Pikachu face
@@Verulen22I don't think they didn't listen, there was just that many more broken things to fix. I'm glad things they shipped are working at 99.9%. Some fixes are necessary, but this 40% of the full game they shipped is still better than D4 after expansion, and less buggy.
The characters and stashes are a non factor when the game launches. Any time there's a new league it's a hard reset and you old characters go to a standard league (that typically most people don't play but you have that option)
@@Verulen22 it should be the case, if it isn't. There are SO many people blinded by their hate for one thing, or their desire for another. This IS a beta disguised as EA. Which isn't bad, if you can see it. Most of these problems could have been found earlier by GGG, but doing it this way, people will PAY them to find the problems.
Downing bosses in 3-10 seconds? I'm at act 3 with my Warbringer totem dude and I can't kill any bosses in less than 5 minutes? Last night I spent a couple of hours trying to the Forgemaster, best I did was get him down to 40% before failing because reaching the end. I really am bad at this game, 1000%. :)
@@mcgruber I managed to get him down an hour ago after overleveling 10 levels and coming back with an extra shockwave totem.. and doing my best at adding a bit extra with earthquake/earthshatters when possible. Auto attack carried my Warrior through acts 1-3. It’s that good I’m still using it in maps because it still does great damage and it’s my only skill that’s not slow as F.
i think that gold cost is the least of things that need to change the fact that you only have 1 life in maps is a joke ppl going to quit when they hit end game with such a harsh system
Hey can you tell the devs that the crit damage node on blood mage doesn’t work! Please I’m doing most content I believe that damage is all I need to fight the big bad
took me 8 hours to respec my cold sorc that was 1 step before finishing campaign, barely functioning cold build taking me over 1 hour to fully clear dreadnought in act2 cruel. hope they choke on my "respec data"
I’m pissed I got nurfed once I was pissed 5 times I would take a day off also. As annoying as it is this game is amazing I just grind my flasks in poe1. This game has taught me to save. It’s amazing
Resource drops still feel terribly slow, we have vendors that give away more viable base gear, a whole gear gacha now, but where I am at level 40 I have ZERO exalts, so there's nothing I can do with a good base magic item for myself, and rare drops are so slow that I'm still mostly wearing gear from the middle of chapter 2 because that's the last time I got anything with stats that actually benefit me.
I bricked my account hard yesterday. I had to do some shitty gold farming strats for an hour. WHen I have like 50 exalts in the bank. Absolutely rediculous.
the worst part about endgame rn is the "on death" effects. It adds no fun or difficulty to the game whatsoever. You are just going to get used to killing a rare mob then going a bit away to see if it has some aoe under it. They really need to remove all those effects.
I do not like the idea of traversing the maps via waypoints. If anything breaks immersion, its going to a giant glowing rock to instantly teleport to another giant glowing rock, when I have no movement skills from PoE 1 to help me otherwise magically traverse the map. It just feels like a backwards brainfart.
They need to have much more communication about their thought process with the changes. Like tell us what is going on and why you're making these decisions. We really wouldn't be this heated as a community if they had more transparency.
Yeah maps take wayyyy to long for me, respec cost too much and its hard to experiment without being punished heavily. Just made it to act 2 on my 3rd char (ranger) gave up on my first 2.
they have to change their endgame philosophy. making one mistake on a boss and losing the whole map (and the path you took to get to this boss map) is too much. the constant pressure of losing everything because of 1 mistake ALL THE TIME is too much. the ppl who are in endgame now are most likely good players. but as soon as the more normal guy gets there players will drop massively and i love the game so far but that is something which is very very very unfun for me. i avoid doing league mechanics because it increases the chance of me to die. that cant be the solution here... in POE1 if i get fucked bc i was not paying attention im mad (cause i lose exp which is fine) but i still can continue my progression. i really hope as time goes on more and more ppl complain about this and im sure it will happen. might take a few more weeks though

Yup, this exactly, everyone will play the 2 builds that work until gutted then go on to play the next 2 with no deviation because trying anything else is insanely expensive.
Just look at gw1 for how to have high end and casual players play together. Was fast to level and get gear but skills ect you captured and high end players worked to solo farm maps and would help new players do the missions but any new players could work through the missions at a slower pace with any build or pay for a run from high end players. Then the game trained them for pvp but there were few if any meta pvp builds because everything has weak points but structured gvg was all meta builds since it was organized.
There’s not nearly enough supports for all the skills. What we do have it’s not worth using many of them because they literally do nothing but jack up mana costs. Monk has a couple wind abilities that are pointless and not supported by the rest of the kit Rangers detonating arrow makes no sense at all. Many ascendancy nodes need deleted and something else created. It’s insane how bad 1/2 of them are but 1/2 are really good at least. Warrior needs all windups removed from mace skills. There’s no reason for it what so ever. Reduce the dmg if you have to. Meta gems should be removed or revert changes to before the nerf. Double energy costs and add a 1 sec cooldown to the proc. I wish they’d let us level support gems. Dropping supports becomes annoying and useless very quickly. Great game so far though.
8:55 🤢NO - if you made it "free" it would be a problem for me. You'd have weird respec automations to change for boss/area. Then you would have people who want to respec but can't due to a cooldown for the sake of the "free" ness of it all/
I'm with Palstron, I never played leveling builds in PoE 1 because it destroys the fun of building up the character from zero to hero. I level as the skill I am using.
I want less mob density. (for the most part) I think most of the problem of late game one shots comes from the fact that these moves are balanced around being very telegraphed and then very punishing if you fail to recognize that. This works great on an initial campaign run, but when you've got 5 casters and 2 rares stacking all their BS on top of you at once it just becomes impossible to dance around and instead becomes a "I'll one shot them before they one shot me" situation. I want that slow telegraphed gameplay from the early game to carry on throughout.
I really hope that GGG does fail on making the game slow just leave us blasters alone let the noobs be noobs they enjoy campaign let the enjoy it leave us alone.
I don’t understand why palstron thinks most people just see a build and reroll. Most people are still in acts on their first character brother. Even the way he talks, you can tell he just doesn’t like the game.
Ill get the point of the nerf. I dont want a game like poe 1 where all that matter is speed throw the game. Faster clearing, faster killing and more stuff in fewer time. Enjoying the atmosphere und the environment with astonishing skills that iam not getting getting enough of is what i wanted from POE 2.
Maybe they will release Awaken version for all of this uninteresting and under-tuned support gems.
dont forget that we are lacking a lot of supports and even a lot of skill gems with not every weapon implemented. i think in the foreseeable future it will be more complex regarding builds, and easier regarding trying out and switching.
XD
Permafrost Fork for freezing trash, Glacial Scattershot for big enemies.
Hint for you...that is a 'wall' cast...there is a gem that changes it to a circle
nice talk with the creator who eased me into poe1 with his guides. Palsteron was the face of PoE together with ziz and tuna for a long time for me
I also used cast on freeze comet, it was absolutely stupidly broken and deserved the nerf, you know what happened once it got nerfed?
100% agree
!!!!
Expensive respec = no creativity allowed
finally a sane person that doesnt have a mental breakdown at every minor inconvenience
I'm praying to god that PoE 2 won't turn into PoE 1
ive thought about it, and tbh, it will never be able to truly turn into poe 1 simply because of how combat works. theres ALWAYS going to be a certain "pace" the game has. now if youre referring to content bloat, i think thats the best kind of bloat to have. theres a dozen things to do in poe 1, and its overwhelming as hell, but once you know what everything does its like.... theres something to do for everybody.
at any rate, theres only so much this game will be able to become like poe 1. the skeleton of the game itself is different, and so is the philosophy of the game. dont worry too much about it becoming like poe 1.
I'm slightly disappointed on monk that I'm just bonking the campaign bosses in cruel
I think this might be the best PoE2 podcast. I appreciate the speed at which you get these out.
If they made it free to respec, are people going to calm down about builds being nerfed? I doubt it, people want their cake and eat it too.
After I find an item t
I want to move to my stash, I have to press left left left left left left etc., switch stash tabs, then right right right right etc., then move it over to the active stash tab.
Big palsteron fan, his league start vids are always on point
One of the issues I have ran into is I built my warrior to be a true tank so I absorb a huge amount of damage and heal myself back to full.
The currency to respec is a damn good point
I will not sit here idly while my favorite slow melee gameplay is besmirched! Just you wait, my +1.5 second wind up will get ya.
What do you mean by deleting? Deleting the character?
Is gas arrow bad now ? Im just starting it in ssf
They nerfed the damage.
@@JadoCast Seems alot of stuff is nerfed so maby its just good and not op anymore :) i like the playstyle
from what i saw it is still playable it's just not super broken as it was
I chose Sorc and I wreck bosses but am weak against mobs with Ice Wall build. Also I'm not a veteran and even I stumbled across CoF OP Build without watching guides. PoE2 isn't nearly as complicated as the first one.
Had a rare that was mana siiphon, proximity and life regen. Brutal to take down without dying haha
I really wanted to play warrior titan. After a week I made a witch inferno and it’s so much better. Hopefully warrior will get better when all weapons are in and the new gems come in game.
Just made it to endgame. How do you switch weapons???????
Pal! my favorite PoE streamer! this one is a must watch for me!
My merc feels stuck as frost freez shard build
the problem is if you do get those straight maps then the other maps feel worse ... they actively removed the straight maps and the extreme cells maps so the variations would feel less bad
@@Verulen22 my guy EA is a beta it's not a different thing
Downing bosses in 3-10 seconds?
I'm at act 3 with my Warbringer totem dude and I can't kill any bosses in less than 5 minutes? Last night I spent a couple of hours trying to the Forgemaster, best I did was get him down to 40% before failing because reaching the end.
I really am bad at this game, 1000%. :)
Switch to 2H weapons and use war cry with perfect strike. You'll blast him away quick.
@@mcgruber I managed to get him down an hour ago after overleveling 10 levels and coming back with an extra shockwave totem.. and doing my best at adding a bit extra with earthquake/earthshatters when possible.
It felt really good to finally get him, but it was really at the end of the chute and both flasks empty.
ill play warrior when we got swords and axes since ive never been a fan of super slow mace attacks
Auto attack carried my Warrior through acts 1-3. It’s that good I’m still using it in maps because it still does great damage and it’s my only skill that’s not slow as F.
Does anyone knows if PoCG works with unarmed?
It's a staff
@@Verulen22 but palm skills can be used with a staff. It has a good amount of base flat damage
i think that gold cost is the least of things that need to change the fact that you only have 1 life in maps is a joke ppl going to quit when they hit end game with such a harsh system
Yep. Worse change they made.
Hey can you tell the devs that the crit damage node on blood mage doesn’t work! Please I’m doing most content I believe that damage is all I need to fight the big bad
Act 2 is my favorite act so far
F, buying pillar of the cage now. That's what i needed on bleed elemental qstaff bloodmage.
All they have to do is handout free respecs after axing with Nerfs
"verry well polished." mean while here i am and if there's a day where the game doesn't crash multiple times I'm surprised.
took me 8 hours to respec my cold sorc that was 1 step before finishing campaign, barely functioning cold build taking me over 1 hour to fully clear dreadnought in act2 cruel. hope they choke on my "respec data"
I’m pissed I got nurfed once I was pissed 5 times I would take a day off also. As annoying as it is this game is amazing I just grind my flasks in poe1. This game has taught me to save. It’s amazing
You get a respec! You get a respec! EVERYONE GETS A NERF! lol
Finally someone said it, i wanna play melee. Just Not With Blunt Weapons for the same reason Palateron said.
I totally agree... hehe the most said thing in this podcast
Act 2 boss is kicking my ass rn imma have to take a day off
Costs for respect should be by points allocated not points acquired.
What is this auto attack they keep talking about?
the attack based on your weapon , appears at the top of the skills.
The respec costs for being early access seems pretty silly.
Palsteron knows
the worst part about endgame rn is the "on death" effects. It adds no fun or difficulty to the game whatsoever. You are just going to get used to killing a rare mob then going a bit away to see if it has some aoe under it. They really need to remove all those effects.
Stuff should be OP. with fair amount of investment down the line....as a target
Honor system is garbage. Not letting people respec for free after nuking builds is garbage. Been enjoying mostly everything else.
Not to mention the passive skill tre bugs that ruin progression and you have to spend all money to try to fix
The honor system needs to go away.
OPness and COC nerf said with in 30 seconds of each other come on!! 😂😂
Give me Ledge and Strand style zones GGG 😢
Oh, they did... Endless Ledge.
Aa a warrior player i don't think rhe clas feels great right now.
May try monk
They need to have much more communication about their thought process with the changes. Like tell us what is going on and why you're making these decisions. We really wouldn't be this heated as a community if they had more transparency.
They literally do in all the patch notes, do you not read them?
classic rage sheep. they do and did in every patch note.
It's so funny how POE1 players are complaining about not being able to respec.
Theres like the 1 skill that works and they only spam theat shit and call it Melee
There’s not nearly enough supports for all the skills. What we do have it’s not worth using many of them because they literally do nothing but jack up mana costs.
Monk has a couple wind abilities that are pointless and not supported by the rest of the kit
Rangers detonating arrow makes no sense at all.
Then you would have people who want to respec but can't due to a cooldown for the sake of the "free" ness of it all/
Make maps bigger. Then add exploration more thing to discover. more randomnness
The campaign map is too big and the exit is easy to miss, most of the map should be 50% smaller
27:50 we souls players have a word for this, git gud.
I mean souls games also have ways to obtain builds/gear that trivialize bosses.
I'm with Palstron, I never played leveling builds in PoE 1 because it destroys the fun of building up the character from zero to hero. I level as the skill I am using.
I want less mob density. (for the most part)
I think most of the problem of late game one shots comes from the fact that these moves are balanced around being very telegraphed and then very punishing if you fail to recognize that.
>I want less mob density
no
I think that complex mechanics like ground effects and ranged aoe slams should just be outright removed from white monsters.
Damnit, stop talking about my build, please dont get it nerfed ;)
I really hope that GGG does fail on making the game slow just leave us blasters alone let the noobs be noobs they enjoy campaign let the enjoy it leave us alone.
People need to stop getting so fucking invested in a late alpha build. Which is what PoE2 is, an alpha. 50% of the game is missing for Pete’s sake!
❤ I love PoE ❤
I want more rare whites to drop, rates are low even on 300+mf
I don’t understand why palstron thinks most people just see a build and reroll. Most people are still in acts on their first character brother. Even the way he talks, you can tell he just doesn’t like the game.
boss was hit by the coc😂
Ill get the point of the nerf. I dont want a game like poe 1 where all that matter is speed throw the game. Faster clearing, faster killing and more stuff in
fewer time.
Enjoying the atmosphere und the environment with astonishing skills that iam not getting getting enough of is what i wanted from POE 2.
I know there a litle potion of ppl think like me but that my opinion.
As a merc... i feel targeted...
