      I feel like gold gear such as gold circlets, gold rings, gold amulets, gold gloves, gold sandals and gold armor should have it as an implicit that can accumulate up to 100% total so your 6 suffixes can go to power and not let rarity roll on the suffixes. I feel like other pieces of gear should have different implicates so you can stack what you want such as spirit, resistances etcetera. If they want to keep rarity in the game I feel like that would be the right way to go.

      If they want to keep the one portal for boss/mechanics then they need to compromise and allow the loot to stay and allow you to go back in to pick up. Lagging in breach dying with a screen full of loot just feels bad.

    The hardest part of mapping is on death effects, I don't mind on death effects when its minor damage that can stack up to become lethal like bearers in poe. But sprinkle in some of the mobs that push you INTO the explosions and its tilting. On deaths should be scary but not lethal, make them like traps in lab where it does % base hp but reduced by resist.

      Its quite frustrating to be 100-0ed by a mob you already killed. Even worse when the visuals either don't match. Waiting on every single visual to stop on every single rare monster, or dying to shit you didn't see just feels like an asscheeks system.

      @@jordanbauerly8843 agreed. at this point ive gotten somewhat used to seeing the cues (especially in Breaches), but sometimes still it's too much visual clutter. It's the only things that kill me while mapping.

      @@hahahafunniness Yep, outside of finding a stack of rares that has a very specific set of FU very much mods, its about the only thing I go down to. Hasted mana drainers... Alone they are manageable, stacking 3+ with those same mods and suddenly i'd rather be up against the blade of mikaela.

    31:52 I think midir is currently doing the best magic find research. His last test included some negative rarity to test whether or not the map rarity is actually multiplicative with player rarity and which currencies are actually affected

      But no large PoE content creator is going to watch that video and see. PoE content meta is making drama videos on "Mf DeStRoYiNg ThE eCoNoMy". Midir's video is what a great creator would have done, but not enough clicks for revenue on that title.

    I'm in the same boat as Aero, I like to mess around with off-meta skills and currently the game doesn't feel ready for that yet.

      every skill in the game is viable to clear the game and all current bosses, considering every boss mechanic is avoidable, you could literally do 3 damage per 5 minutes and eventually kill the boss as long as it doesn't have regen.

    Even if there is some method to find the citadels the fact the entire poe community cant find it is insane. Every player should be able to figure it out playing the game
    Also aspirational content should be fun stuff thats not requires like getting the items to unlock whimsydale in Diablo 3 which was just a crazy out of pocket fun area and had some secret cosmetic items you can get

    It should be said, the mathematically greatest chance of finding anything is a straight line. If you turn your course, you reduce the coverage of your exploration on either side of your path. If you do this enough you could loop back upon yourself (unlikely in this map system of course).

    22:00 - There's actually more to this. There's a group of modifiers such as "Periodically Unleashes Lightning" or "Periodic Cold Explosions" which works differently depending on which tier of mob it is on.
    If one of those modifiers is on a Magic monster, then the visual effect of that explosion charging up will continue to play out before simply disappearing with no damage dealt.
    If one of those modifiers is on a Rare monster, it will actually still act the same. The visual effect of the explosion (centered on the corpse) will play out with no damage dealt, but explosives they place before dying will still go off and deal damage.
    HOWEVER, most importantly, the MINIONS of the Rare monsters will inherit that modifier (even if it's not displayed) and set off an explosion after death. AND, shattering these minions will hide the visual effect while the damage still goes off.

    So in summary, it's bugged. Either the minions are not supposed to be releasing on-death explosions, or the "on-death explosions" of the magic monsters should be dealing damage. Having both instead of one or the other means that players cannot confidently act in the game once their build reaches a certain level of AoE where you're not individually addressing each specific enemy.

    Changes i would like to see:
    -Armour be an exact reduction to damage taken to HP (Example 60% armour would mean you take 60% less damage specifically to your HP no effect on shield.
    -Armour cap at 75% like elemental resistances
    -Waystone Tab.
    -Melee buff for honour trial.
    -Less on death effects.
    -Crafting system.
    -Tower Bosses.
    -Runes re-slotting.
    -Damage numbers option
    -Auction house.
    -Hard waystones up to T20.
    -No Exp loss on death.

      Many of the points will come with further development
      damage numbers are on the top right corner but an option for accumulating damage x sec and last hit would be nice.
      No xp loss on death is a terrible idea but it would be tweaked to match poe1 better, that game has it perfect in my opinion

      Oh are you a new player? Everything you're asking for PoE1 players have been asking for for over a decade. Armor might get tweaked to be less shitty, but it will never be good for bossing. (In case you don't know how armor works, look it up, its frustrating) Im actually shocked they disabled the volatile crystals mod and will be shocked if they don't put it back in along with heralds. Melee/Maces getting "total attack time"/"added attack time" is by design and maces will forever be the worst build in the game, and if other melee weapons have it then "big melee" (giant weapon and big attacks over fast daggers/staves) will just be perpetually terrible. They also have 0 plans to make base crafting better and will hope added mechanics through leagues will fix it. Read their tade manifesto to know why trading will always be ass. Also look at their interiews to know why xp loss/map loss will be fought over; they want players to suffer and feel that they need to punish them for wanting to have fun.

      Crafting will absolutely get better before release.
      They have said they might change trading, “auction house” for currency is new-ish and they have talked about buyouts via npc
      I would suffer much more if there were no xp loss since the endgame would be balanced to assume lv 100 instead of ~95 and the grind would only be crap instead of a non necessary goal and without it it would have no sense of accomplishment (it needs tweaking tho)

    Speaking of bad uniques,
    on my merc at the moment (A3 normal), Im running with a unique helmet - Radiant Grief, that ignites mobs in my presence, pretty much any mob that's on screen is immediately ignited. Which means that when I have the 3 nodes (Exploit) on the tree for 49% increased damage against mobs affected by an ailment, Im doing that bonus damage without me having to proc it myself - its 100% guaranteed.
    When I reach Cruel, I'll probably switch that helmet for something else with more defenses, and proc an ailment myself, but for leveling its great.

    10:00 I don't think "not knowing how to find them yet" is a valid justification for the current citadel situation because we need to see this from a new player perspective or from a player that doesn't seek information outside of the game. GGG just needs to figure out their intention on how often and how deterministically the content should be interacted with and then design around those intentions, and furthermore have the game communicate those intensions in the game some how through UI and lore

      I could not get passed the 3rd assendency, 2nd time through Sekhemas. I kept getting crapped on with no good room choices towards the end of the third floor. Then the game seemed glitchy for awhile. All of a sudden I started getting Sekhemas coins so I tried again last night. It was harder room by room but I swear they did a hot fix and the I walked through the bosses and got my third one done.

    I never understood why they did not go the route of last epoch with crafting. That one is still random enough and hard to get good items, but deterministic enough to feel like actual crafting. The last epoch crafting I think hits a really nice spot , with the max potential on the item, and randomized potential cost. I just imagine POE 2 with that crafting system , what it could be. I wish someone would ask GGG in an interview why not go that route with crafting, what is the problem they see with it being so deterministic.
    I would rather be allowed to chose the stats to put on an item , and have really small chances to get to high tiers , I would even be ok with the item trashing if you go over the crafting potential. But let me chose what I want on it.
    Please go into this when you have someone from GGG on an interview next time. Such a pity crafting is so weird.

    I didn't know where to post so I'll do it here. Just realized that the poe2 mega mtx pack has a crafting bench skin. How's that possible if they are not giving us a bench after EA?

      they talked about it in an interview somewhere, I forget specifically what they said but it works in poe1 and I think applies to the scrap bench in poe2? you may be able to find it somewhere to confirm

    Hey Tri, definitely check out Midir's latest rarity testing video. It's only 7 mins. I think you should be informed about it since you're talking a lot about it lately.
    TLDR, your currency drops do go up around 150 rarity from gear and what you get from a map mod. Everything after doesn't increase it that much. Midir shows all of this in a very clear way with good testing.

      Hes also wrong in many of his assumptions, PoorFishWife (prohibited library discord owner) already explained it in reddit threads and invited him to discord.
      For example map rarity and player one arent interchangeable, area modifiers (map rarity and mob rarity) arent affected by diminshing returns, player one is, they are all multiplicative with eachother.

      @keldon1137 yea they are multiplicative, but in the Midir video he showed his divine and exalt drops and there wasn't a big increase at all. I think it probably has more to do with being able to nuke the entire screen on a fast build. Or am i missing something?

      ​@@off-meta-michael Exalts and drops rates arent conclusive because they are too rare, he admited it himself in the video afair. Plus by that logic having more IIR would hurt your ex/div droprates as he shown most drops at 100% tier.
      Problem was he was baiting people into thinking that they can skip gear IIR in favour of area IIR saying they are the same while its completely untrue.
      Theres certainly heavy diminishing returns in player IIR after 100-150% but it is virtually mandatory to run this much.
      His video also skips tier system and uniques tiers dropping with rarity.

      @@off-meta-michael Yes. The thing is they introduced tiered system, it affects rares, currency and uniques. I dont know if u are familiar with necro crafting and we currently dont know how exactly it works (Jonathan mentioned in interview they wont explain it), but theres a good chance it works similar and at certain rarity tresholds u may be able to block lowest tiers of currency/uniques from dropping altogether.

    The issue with on-death effects, Tri, is that they disrupt pacing. This is an ARPG where speed and pacing of the combat and progression through a level is everything. If you kill an enemy that spawns a puddle of caustic blood on the ground what do you do? You stand there until it goes away...why? Because in the early game you don't move as fast. What do you do when the guy swells up and turns red? You stop and wait for him to explode. Again this mechanic is designed to slow you down in a game genre that encourages you to get more powerful so you can move faster. In fact, I'm pretty sure that the designers have said on a few occasions that the on-death effects were put in specifically to try to mitigate that.
    For me though, on-death effects just offer zero counterplay. And that's probably the most infuriating part of all. Look sometimes innovation comes from improving something people have been doing for a long time. Sometimes innovation is recognizing that a design element is vestigial and no longer necessary. On-death effects definitely fall into the latter category.

    I have 3 citadels on one screen, have found about 14 of them in 400 hours played (closer to 300, lots of afk, 50 hours first character to campaign, 400 deaths). I do not go for citadels, i do a big circle with towers then clear everything. Anecdotal but I agree with the clear maps = more citadels. I mostly notice them by the biomes they spawn at the corner of the fog after im finished clearing all my maps in the middle of overlapped towers.

    Controller Support for PC is so fricking bad. Every time my controller disconnects, I get kicked out of the game. Lost multiple breaches und lost multiple trials solely because of that issue. Other than this, the game constantly crashes. Especially when doing breaches and such. It is such a pain.

      Are you talking in general or for yourself, personally? I've had no controller disconnects whatsoever and I've only crashed a couple times since launch. So from my POV, there is no issue here.

    I've hit maps for the first time ever. Didn't understand the game well enough in poe 1, but now I've gotten there. The drastic change from campaign to maps has been tough for me. I've enjoyed it, but i feel like I've been filtered out by the economy. I dropped more exalted orbs in the campaign than i have in maps even when running rarity gear.

    I would have no problem losing a waystone or getting booted from a map on a single death, if the content of that atlas node was still there to attempt. But i can see some other sides to it. From a programmers view, how do you prevent players from farming a breach over and over again by dying and rerunning the map? Here's my solution; make only boss content repeatable on atlas until the boss is completed. As far as breach, expedition, delirium stuff; make your chance to have those appear in maps at all times apply to every new instance with no icons for a guaranteed encounter. That way, on death, the map rerolls. The player may encounter another breach for example, or they may not. It's unknown at all times what will be in the instance until that instance rolls, leaving the player to look around. Except bosses. Players can then know whether or not they are looking for a boss.

    Rarity in POE 2 is like being a construction worker and having your boss ask whether you’d prefer a stronger hammer to work with or a salary raise. The choice is a no-brainer.

    I’m console, I did it completely blind until about t3 maps then took alittle bit of build crafting advice and was doing great now and I’m taking it really slow on a SSF. BUT my biggest complaint is sorting loot and I still can’t run Rituals because everytime the adds spawn in it just tanks the game and it either crashes or I die because everything is on top of me, same with breach but not as bad.

    7:44 - Yes, finally someone else i see that actually likes the endgame. I was never good in "zooming maps" in Poe1, no matter how good my build was i always played slower and more methodical and would often do 2 maps then chill for an hour and thinker with my build or trade or go afk.
    In Poe2 endgame enjoyment for me is much greater, i plan my next move on the atlas, micromanage towers around nodes, choose my map and do it relatively slowly and methodically.
    Well..i have my own build that is completely off meta... but i tried doing corrupted and irradiated map with delirium that is higher tier than i am used to and it went pretty fast, but i still like slower methodical gameplay more.
    In the endgame i only wish for two things, that they slow enemies down and maybe give them more hp ( in my opinion it would be cool if they take combined group of enemies hp and just halve the number of monsters but combined hp to stay the same ) and slow the players down ( nerf zooming builds and such a bit ), so it resembles more the begining of the game in gameplay.
    And i wish they would add more stuff to do on the atlas, maybe some strategic elements or something, or it would be cool if corruption can "attack" nodes you allready completed and you have fight it back in some tower defense style or something ( like that mushroom thing in Poe1 where you get annointments ).

    I want to point out when he says agressivly balance, I agree BUT don´t swing the nerfhammer too hard initialy, tweak down a little, and maybe a little again, and maybe even a little again till the build is where it should be and still is playable instead of killing builds

    I LOVE hearing him say he doesnt hate rarity. As a new player I very very much like rarity. Its a natural progression path for a new player. Currency is always the most exciting thing. When I see a divine as a new player, its way more exciting than anything else. 1 Divine means I can buy a full new set of gear or twink out an alt. New players arent good at crafting or understanding which rares have the best stats for flipping for currency. The most exciting moments for me are when I get currency, and magic find helps that and is an obvious path for me.
    I can't say rarity is good or bad for the game as a whole, but as a new player, I have loved rarity.

    Sorry to say but running 100-150% rarity even on campaign is highly noticeable, it's not just map/atlas rarity. Take one character with 0 rarity from 1 to 70 and another one with 150% from 1 to 70 and you'll se the difference plain as day.

      @@Epindary Blasters are always going to be faster than noobs, that doesn't mean needing 150% rarity baseline for the game to feel good or having the game revolve around getting as much rarity as posible on your gear is good for the gaming experience for neither blasters or noobs. Go change your diaper, I'm sure that much thinking had a negative effect on your body.

    Great show. I've run 2 different unique helms in the end game. Radiant Grief helm to auto ignite my grenades vs explosive shot but eventually swapped to Atziris Disdain gold circlet due to armor/evasion not cutting it in t12-13+ maps imo. Now I have 2k+ ES before the extra from Grim Harvest and grenadier mercenary feels much better w evasion/ES allowing my to complete 4th ascendancy w no issues and farm juiced 15/16+ maps finally. But definitely think we need more useful build enabling uniques, multiple are useful for leveling a 2nd character otherwise 90%+ you're better off salvaging

    I really don't understand people that use 'Magic Find' as something hugely negative for new players. - And this comes from someone who would like to see Magic Find removed
    Yes, Magic Find as a whole gives a lot of players more currency - but it also makes way more rares drop, which devalues them and makes decent rares laughably cheap. And these new players can buy decent gear for a few exalted orbs.
    The only negative effect of this for new players is that chase uniques and really high tier things like omens or pinnacle boss keys are unobtainable for new players - but new players would never get those anyway, magic find or not. And if they get to that point, they could sell the boss key to get divines and easily increase their power dramatically.
    I think Magic Find actually makes gearing cheaper and easier for new players. (The only problem is that new players don't know how to navigate the trade site and think everything is just available in divines. But this problem should disappear once the ex-div ratio on the website gets updated, or when enough players figure out how to filter for exalt only prices.)

      I think the problem is tge sellers are A-holes like in POE1 and overprice EVERYTHING now. I dont buy to much gear so I run half magic find and get the currency I need to upgrade stuff.

    I think they should simply have Prophecy orbs for Uniques like in the past but with a better system around it instead of the chance version. Maybe introduce an upgrade Bench with a cost or altar (with a 100% success rate) which makes it high tier gear probably behind every map boss encounter from T15 or higher rare maps or something.

    I'm someone that has put 15k hours in PoE1 and DO NOT go Goblin Mode most of the time. I've seen all the content in PoE1, but don't push it every League. I've touched all the top end content of both games and probably already have 306 hours in PoE2. I'm what I'd call a "Hardcore Casual" I play a lot of the game but do not care to stress myself out or get sweaty over it. I have never once in the entirety of my PoE career followed a guide besides a single one made by someone I know personally. I'm full on switching from PoE1 to PoE2.
    I like the direction they are going with endgame but absolutely hate what it is right now. I pushed my first character to 90 and leveled multiple others to 2+ Ascendancy Trials. I lose most of my will to play new characters because Endgame feels like shit. I probably won't be starting in a new League unless Rarity is addressed (Read: Removed. Ok, so sometimes I get sweaty about things, sue me).
    EDIT: Way overestimated my play time, it's only 306 hours not 500.

      The fact you reached the end game of poe2 (and have 500h playtime) by now disqualifies you from calling yourself a casual, I think, and you're just hard-core. An average of 15 hours per day from Dec 6 to Jan 7 is a bit insane tbh.
      Most of us casuals, if we have really been playing a lot, are still stuck levelling and mapping, nowhere near event bosses or Arbiter, and a bit clueless on builds to get through them. But that's the top end, most casuals haven't even reached mapping yet.

      What I was trying to get at is that I'm someone with a fuck ton of experience in all levels of PoE that generally tends to side with casuals. I want the game to be accessible but have lots of experience at the highest levels too. I'm someone at the far end of the "Hardcore" spectrum that generally does not like the design concepts that flourish there.
      Also, why are you gatekeeping a label I didn't even use for myself?

    Two thoughts on rarity: D2 had rarity, and it felt very good. Now D2 didnt have an endgame like poe, but still rarity felt so good and it was fun to get access to uniques through rarity. Jonathan said rarity is the third axis of scaling, as compared to offense and defense - and I think this is just right, and how the D2 inspired genre should play. Now its only tweaking, tho the internet makes this into a big drama

    I’ve taken 3 characters to level 70, then I run out of waystones by like tier 6 and I refuse to work my way back up from earlier tiers so I start a new build

      Seems counterintuitive, but the way I'm able to sustain is to hold onto the highest tiered waystones until I find a node with a boss. They will usually drop plenty of waystones.

    I don't get how people don't know this yet, to find citadels, just follow the corrupted towers, the corpses don't seem to have anything to do with it, but just keep clearing corrupted towers and the citadels will spawn, i went for weeks without seeing a citadel, then i started clearing corrupted towers and now they spawn everywhere, i even get citadels spawning next to eachother, like there's too many of them almost

      @ its 100% the towers, GGG even said before EA released that we will want to clear the corruption on the atlas map, never gave us a reason but its pretty obvious. Same happened with all my friends, never found a citadel until they started clearing corruption from the towers

    Strongholds aren’t hard to find but most people just try to hit all the towers which takes far longer then going straight into fog till you see the art that’s around strongholds

    I think I found the biggest reason for dying at on death effects.
    The animation is covered by the filter and if you drop a lot you don't see the game anymore

      I haven't had trouble with essence elites in PoE 2. PoE 1, however, they were dangerous. Especially if you specced into them on the Atlas. PoE 2 essences feel like a cakewalk in comparison.

    As a Chrono using archmage yes I do think it's busted but you cannot blame archmage when the stormweaver class is completely overtuned to hell and back. I have a similar setup and probably output a 1/3rd of what an average stormweaver outputs.
    Loot filter for console is probably #1 thing that needs a hotfix. I think high level breach would be unplayable on console without one.

    I find Magic Find PERFECT...
    For Solo Self-Found. If they'd make IIR be balanced differently between trade and SSF, then I feel like it would be fine, then rarity would only be used to gear your other characters in SSF instead of being a money making machine like it is in trade right now. IIR should not affect currency, that way the devs can dial up or dial down the currency drops without needing to worry about IIR and everyone gets the gear they're looking for eventually and the economy would be healthy. I'm sure there's counter-points to my stance on this, but I'm confident in this, if they just balance SSF and trade separately, things would look much much different.

    33:14 - Its 40% the lack of crafting, 10% the MF+currency balance and 50% the bots.
    The amount of fake accounts/chinese, indian and ruski bots named 想买78426 or FDDSSS874695 or _insert_cyrilic_for_their_own_parents_holes_here_ accounts doing RMT through trade site is outright modern World of Warcraft like and act as a force multiplier to lack of crafting in PoE in general (outside of unnerfed harvest and bench loops).

    Yeah, my biggest complaint so far is the missing half of the game because I like to do interesting builds and without those other six classes and all of the additional ascensions, I’m starting to hit a wall on my own creativity. not only that all the fun weapons swords axes knives are in the full version

    Asiding from fixing the several game breaking bugs and crashes, they need to allow free passive skill changes and the ability to change ascendancy class. I spent 500k gold changing my build and only have 100k left at lvl84. Who the hell decided to charge so much to change builds in EA?

    Idk guys...finding citadels is kinda easy. I have 3 of them on one screen in the section i am clearing. You can tell if there is one if you see houses or a village on the Atlas map. I've been able to farm 10 fragments so far and Im not even really looking for them...

      I am getting the feeling the procedural generation is kinda wonky. Seems like what I've been hearing from others are these citadels spawn in clusters which I would guess leads in large swathes having nothing in between these clusters.

    @TalkativeTri -- could someone (greater than I) ask GGG for a paid spec swap. Where you can set up a different passive tree for another build. Lock it down to void you out of any saved content upon swapping or at least, from entering with the other spec, to continue to avoid exploit. They're probably never going to make respec free/easy. This would allow them to get more $$ and make our lives easier.. like different costs based on single toon, all toons, all toons in current season.. maybe all toons only purchasable with the largest support pack.
    and add an armory.. to swap gear as well.. (this could be a specialty bag).

    Of course big changes are coming. We're getting 6 more base classes, and a total of 20 more ascendancies across all classes, sword, spears, dagger, flail, and traps as weapons, some of which having one and two handed variants, as well as a ton of support, persistent, and skill gems, and three whole acts with their own major boosts in our power and character growth.
    The game's a far cry from what it will be.

    I am playing blood mage. It does not suck. I am breezeing through t15s and fighting juiced bosses. It isn't as fast as other characters, but that is fine. The game isn't about speeding through everything.
    Leech works fine on blood mage. It converts it to hp regen. Mine hits the 500s with small packs.

    About the rarity and all the stats in general. When the stat is easy to measure let's say ES and life you can clearly and easily see that one is better than the other and you switch to better one and then its ggg problem to solve. With rarity its not so easy to measure, but what is important the imoact that it makes on everyone. That means you have to do something because next league the meta will be tha same even if the real magnitude of the effect from mf could be minimal in math formulas. If the mf stays in game it is so difficult to balance in trade. Because right now there is no way to convince people to play without mf especially in trade.

    Already seeming PoE2 walk the same path bungie did with D2. Already over the lack of respect for our time. I’ll play the same way I did D2, begrudgingly, hoping it magically gets an update to become the game we want, only to be constantly disappointed and eventually moving to something deserving of my time. For me, that’s marvel rivals and PoE1 till PoE2 is worth playing. Right now, the only memories are frustration and unnecessary stress.

    They should just add tier 5 and 10 infinite maps to dori. Playing blight oils with maps kinda sucks ass if you run out as a casual when you have to do it with t1 maps. 3 t1s for a tier 2, 9 for a 3, and 27 t1 maps for 1 t4. its like buying brown oils to upgrade into golds without a blight tab... atrocious. Adding those to dori at when completing the tier 5, and tier 10 quests would save so many casuals from fucking off.

    If that want poe2 (but 1), they need to slow the enemies down, lower their numbers, and make their encounter memorable with great mechanics
    If they want poe2 (but is actually 2) they need to buff the 2 weakest classes to be speed viable

    Poe1 still exists and they don’t want this game to be a remake of the first one. If you enjoyed poe1 mechanics go back and play it, a lot of the things you’ve been wanting to be added is stuff they intentionally removed from Poe1 due to their rising philosophy branching out from their original ideas. It’s not meant to be easy. Why is it taking you an hour to clear a couple towers? Be more efficient brother, your build isn’t ready for the more difficult maps. Tri doesn’t know about the higher tier mods because he’s not pushing high tier maps often enough. Do some tier 18’a and max out your boss meters and you’ll see more modifiers. I’ve seen 12 on a rare and that’s not close to all of them, but a lot of the modifiers won’t show up unless there’s already enough low tier modifiers

      Poe2 is already like a new version of poe1 even in early access. Apart from bigger map layouts, 1 portal, maaaaybe new map and skill system guess?
      Theres no fundamental gameplay change to poe1

      Same gameplay loop
      Same endgame mechanics (breach,expedition,deli,ritual). I dont mind them btw.
      Kinda the same system like the lab to get ascendancy points(sanctum-ultimatum), why they thought its a good idea nobody knows but at least its a bit different
      If they want poe2 to not be like poe1 they should make fundamental changes
      I will still play them both btw

      @ dodge roll being a core part of the end game bossing gameplay is a major change to the gameplay loops and endgame mechanics. Crafting is not the same, where it used to be spreadsheet crafting. Skill systems are entirely different. Armor is the only stat mechanic that is the same. That’s some major fundamental changes. If you don’t think so then give an example of what you believe a “major fundamental change” to be. If you look at what you’ve said a lot of those are major fundamental changes you just don’t realize it from playing the same game so long

      Now, about crafting:
      "pick base-aug-regal-ex-chaos" rng spam Is not crafting. In poe1 you dont need a spreadsheet to craft basic items, you only do in mirror crafts and high value items. In poe2 you rng slam and hope to get a basic item.(you will need a spreadsheet for mirror crafts eventually)
      What armor has to do with this argument apart from being worse in comparison to poe1?
      Im not a game developer, my opinion doesnt matter on how the game should be.

      As the game is right now is like Poe1 and I dont mind that but it can improve
