It is the best thing on Earth, whether from your better half or an amazingly silly little offspring. I wish the both for you two. The way I found love like that was putting my silly, crazy heart on my sleeve and allowing myself to get hurt, to take risks with love. Love openly, bravely, and fiercely...at the end of our story what else really matters besides love?
Before we all die we should spend more time on us not others... Take this in mind ..... Why do you feel the need to help someone when you can't or won't help your self.... So there ya go we get tought it's not right if we don't help others when we our selfs suffer take some time for your self have a vacation have some fun
This is crazy... my grandpa passed away a few years back and my family and I have been struggling like crazy ever since. Not just with his death but with a lot of other losses over the past decade. I clicked on this video very randomly out of a list that my online class provided for me. I already loved this girl when I heard her talking about her loss, but then I realized something... I have one of these walls where I live. It's a huge cube covered with glass at a mall near my home. I had no idea there was a story behind it, I thought it was just a random thing the mall did. I feel like I was absolutely meant to see this video.
Time and people are two the most important things. You can't enjoy one without the other as well as you can't enjoy anything else without the two. Don't forget what really matters.
Before I die I want to... -experience living without Internet/technology just simple with nature. -see people United -see people singing one song together -Change the world
I felt a little more enlightened today and this brought me to wonder of my own aspirations in which i hope to fulfill before i die. I think this is wonderful way for people to express there hopes and dreams and also be reminded that we all have hopes and dreams. So in a sense we are all connected through those wants. I find that to realize that about yourself and others(even if it's just the people around the corner) to be something mighty powerful.
@@monukeys1105 Definitely on my way. Was in a very dark place nine years ago but I definitely have learned to give myself grace and patience and not be quite so hard on myself. Thanks for bringing me back to my 18 year old wish. Going to keep working hard for her.
Life is confusing and complex, and the insecurity heightens as it accumulates through passing time. When I look back at my child hood, I remember having tons and tons of things I wanted to do or have. But now, everything feels hazy and rather distant, distorted by the many things I’ve felt and learned as I matured. Maybe, deep down, I still long for those random child-hood wishes. But the difference between now and then, is that now I know what I am capable of and what I’m not. The process of perceiving was painful and weary, and I got heart broken by numerous things that I never thought were capable of destroying me. I lost a lot of laughter and passion on the way, and loosing my dreams came very gradually. But after listening to the speech, even in such a short duration of time, I felt whole. I felt like myself again. Looking at the things that people had written about what they wanted to do before they died took me through nostalgia. I felt alive and clarified by the contradiction of pleasure and sadness, and I couldn’t relate more to her statement of “Preparing for death is one of the most empowering things you can do. Thinking about death clarifies your life.”.
Thank you Candy! Our minister showed this as part of his sermon yesterday. This work has made quite an impact on my thinking about community building. At 70 I am just beginning to see a world of opportunity in my own city. It resonates with recently reading Jane Jacobs on the Life and Death of cities....and also current involvement in a campaign for a Green Party candidate. These ideas create an opportunity to look at community building with humor and a joyful heart.
her message was so strong, so well transmitted, that we, the people of youtube, made youtube our chalkboard, because this is our community! Before i die, i want to meet the most amount of people i can, from all around the world.
You're right, a lot of times, we think of ideas that we want to do in our life but never realize them. I think it's important that we write things down, or realize at least the ideas we have in our heads so that we can organize these things according to what is most important to us, what we would make the most impact in based on our own strengths and weaknesses. Having the list of ideas is definitely a starting part.
One of my fellow classmates took his life on Friday, March 1. He was in my newspaper class when we watched this video together. As a class, we each wrote our own "Before I die..." In honor of the boy who shared his dreams to fly with me, I want to start a Before I Die project at my school by making a wall and printing shirts. Each of us would write our own dreams on the line and wear them in honor of Campbell. With the proceeds we make, I wanted to donate that to a teen suicide prevention org.
I just watched this 4 days ago...then yesterday I actually spotted a 'Before I die...' blackboard in near the Hop Exchange in London, it was pleasant surprise ^^
I don't accept the notion that there is something because there is not evidence other than old books that demonstrates there is something else. Everything points to nothing. There is nothing about us that persists after we die. I like this video because it makes us think about what we have and, at least for me, it makes me realize that this time we have is short and precious. Lets make the most of it and stop worrying about what happens after the end. We should all live the best life we can.
0:56 shows an abandoned building in Fairbanks Alaska. I hate that building. There is already plenty of residential and commercial space in the town, and renovating it would be more expensive than the space would be worth. It should be destroyed, but the city would have to pay for it, as the land owner has defaulted. Its ugly, but removing it and putting something else there would not necessarily revitalize the downtown area. I have no idea what to do there.
Goverment should have something like this on the internet were you could tell what you want, or change, in several, areas such as education, health, etc.
Ha, I didn't notice that. Clever response. Wanting to understand still packs a bigger punch, in my opinion, as most of us are okay already with not understanding, yet most of us don't really understand much at all.
Many years ago I passed by a wall like this. I forget what I wrote, but I'm glad to see who did it.
before i die , i want to bring all the best things to my parents
Before I die, I want to... have a TED talk of my own.

"Before I die I want to, understand."
This one stood out to me.
Wow, this video is beautiful. Your vulnerability is beautiful. "Thinking about death clarifies your life"...goosebumps!
