It worked with just switching the working space color setting in after effects to sRBG-to match my PS set up, Thanks!

Good deal 👍Yeah, as long as they are matching, the colors should match in each app.

Good video! For people who have problems with Krita + After effects: Change at the rocket in aftereffects Apple RGB or just RGB on windows.

Very interesting. I found that Illustrator has the same feature under Edit/Color Settings. What about Premiere Pro? One could make a figure in Illustrator, color it in Photoshop, animate in After Effects to include in a Premiere Pro video. Would you just use a Rec 709 LUT in Lumetri to match the colors up in PP, and then color grade from there?

There is not easy or ‘right’ way when it comes to Color Settings as it really depends on the project and how the final render/file is being used.
I don’t stress about it anymore as I no longer have a print workflow and mostly work in digital, so I tend to stay in sRGB, but if I’m working on a video where the color consistency is important across all apps, then I will change all to Rec.709.
In short, it’s a case by case basis for me and the most important thing is that you know how to fix if it becomes an issue or you do client work and you need to be consistent.
      Hope that helps. 👍

Hi! Loved the video, but I still have a problem. Colors in photoshop where the way I wanted them to look like - vibrant etc, but in After they look - especially the layers with ,,linear light,, effect - gray and without right colors. I tried it the same way you did here but nothing works :/

      Try this:
In the Layers Panel of After Effects, look for the little star i🌟icon (right-click in the Header area and make sure 'Switches' is checked). This is called Collapse Transformations/Continuously Rasterize. Tick the box under the 🌟 column for the Photoshop layers and see if that helps. 👍.

Even with both color profiles the same, when I export from AE to media encoder or to the built in render engine, the colors are different

Happy to help troubleshoot if you can provide some more details about your project, workflow and the issue you are experiencing. Where are you seeing the difference in colors? What render settings are you using? Have you tested other render settings?

@@MikeMurphyCo Thank you! It turns out this was actually a glitch on Instagram's preview before posting. No problems here- thanks for making these videos :)
