Basically, I learned everything in this video. I am a complete beginner (the first time I am creating a new file with this video). It was extremely helpful. Valentina is full of knowledge! And better than that, she is great at giving the lecture. Every person having knowledge is not capable of transferring it. I expect Valentina to give more long lectures like this. Thank you, thank you so much.
I watched this twice because it had so much jam-packed info! The first time I took notes, and the second time I followed along in Premiere myself. Insanely valuable video. Also, for anyone who missed it like I did, the shortcut for enable/disable is CMD+SHIFT+E on Mac & just SHIFT+E on Windows.
What an excellent teacher! So many others assume prior knowledge of the program or terminology. Valentina gets the balance exactly right between talking down to her students and losing them because of assumed knowledge. Thank you SO much for taking the time to help others progress in their Premiere skills.
This woman is my heroine. When you need to edit videos, this information is incredibly valuable and I'm beyond blessed to receive this for free. Valentina, you are an amazing and thorough teacher. Thank you!!!!
This should unequivocally be the gold standard for teaching. Thank you immensely. Despite my prior experience with Adobe Premiere, I now acknowledge that I had misconceptions. Learning from an expert has provided me with a profound understanding of aspects I had previously overlooked. Thank you.
Such a refreshing video to watch! I can actually focus on the learning and not get distracted by all the unnecessary transitions & emojis right on your face every 5 seconds, the hyped tone, the fake enthusiasm, and all the drama effect in most of the tutorial UA-cam videos nowadays. Thank you!
Yes! I first saw one of her tutorials 2 years ago and was so captivated by her calm, encouraging demeanor and thorough explanations. The overly animated people giving tutorials irks the heck out of me lol
This is incredible, It is easy to follow, runs a perfect pace, and covers a lot... Very well done indeed young lady! Best software tutorial I have ever seen...
This video has been BEYOND helpful to me as I begin my first-ever film. Upon opening Adobe Premiere Pro I felt overwhelmed and going to multiple different UA-cam videos to learn it all was hard to keep track. This video was very thorough and I truly felt like I literally had someone holding my hand during the process. It took every ounce of stress away and actually made me feel excited to edit and learn. This creator was amazing and my learning style aligns very will with her coaching. Hope to see more from this creator!
i'm In College in Canada. Taking Graphic Design Technology. I'm taking it remotely from home online. I had one week to make a video with my phone, edit, and produce a 4-6 minute video for Taking Premier Pro. The instructors are of no help. This Premier Pro has succeeded in making me dizzy, it is so much in 1 place at one time. I'm so confused. This video was very long yes, But I thank you VV as you all the help I've gotten and yet I paid out $17000.00+ for this course. And this Premier Pro has me stomped. I have learned more from this free video than from the College I paid to give me this course. I was thrown into PRMPR GREEN. I'm an artist and all other Adobe programs I'm great with Accept PRMPR and Effects. Thank you VV, not sure what I would do without your video. I just watch it over and over till I get it. THANKS AGAIn
I love your teaching style. Instead of, "Let's meander through all the menu options," it's "Problem=>Solution, Problem=>Solution, Problem=>Solution, Done." The only place I got lost was around 1:48, "checkerboarding my clips," but I was delirious by that time. Glad I pushed through to the end. A real tour de force.
This tutorial is everything. Clear cut, detailed yet straight to the point, and delivered with humor! Definitely one of the best premier pro tutorials I've watched, even better than some of the online courses I've paid for. I will be coming back to re-watch this tutorial.
Valentina, you have the BEST INSTRUCTION on this subject matter I've seen! Period! I’m killing this tutorial!! Your pace and depth seems tailor made for my learning style. I feel like you’re talking to me exclusively! Thank you so much for this incredible class. I’m going to go through ALL of your instructional materials on your other courses!🎉❤
This is so good! I've been poking around in Premiere just learning by experimentation, so initially when Vee would show the hard way I'd be like, "pshyeah I know this," but then she'd follow it all up with WAY better ways of doing it. Thank you for sharing your experience! More Valentina Vee tutorials, please!
Thank you for such a fantastic tutorial. I've been into video editing since more than two decades. This video has opened my eyes to a new level. Looking forward to many short tutorials from you which shows specials effects being used like in Hollywood movies. You are a brilliant teacher and have used this youtube platform in a great way. Thank you once again. Cheers!!
WOW!! I got scared at first by the length of the video, but I rapidly got hooked at my first chapter jump! Ended up watching the whole thing. I feel so much more confident and knowledgeable with Premiere Pro now. I always wanted to get better at organizing my workflow and you gave me the tools to achieve my goal. Natural, professional and very talented, you are an excellent teacher. Thank you!😊
Hello Valentina I am writing to you from Switzerland and I don't know how to thank you for your SUPER - SUPER - SUPER work! For your great commitment and the time you invest! I have already found many Premiere tutorials on the net, but there are none as brilliant as yours! Tutorial, almost 3 hours, practice material and an extremely great PDF guide to boot! And all this doesn't cost a single cent!!! Valentin, thank you very, very much! Best wishes from faraway Switzerland 🇨🇭🇨🇭🇨🇭
Dude. SO HELPFUL. I haven't used Premiere since 2011-13 (I've been using Final Cut ever since) and I've recently needed to use Premiere again to edit some projects for a company that requires Premiere. I was SO scared to start using it again since I've had my set work-flow for so long in FCPX!! This brought back everything from over a decade ago, PLUS showed me new tools and helped translate my current FCPX workflow over to Premiere with total ease and understanding! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
This was such an informative video. I have been using premiere pro for about 10 months now and through this video I have learnt more than 30 tips and tricks which i did not previously know. I actually made a list of things I learnt, which I want to use when doing my own editing. Thank you very much Valentina Vee😁 Awesome video!
Been using Premiere for over 6 years and still watched this whole video because Valentina is such an excellent teacher. I even learned some incredibly useful stuff I never knew. Fantastic job!
Looking forward to watching this even after 12 years using Premiere Pro I'm SURE there will be some things I had no idea about as Valentina is extremely knowledgeable !
Super helpful tutorial! Very dense for an absolute novice like myself so I watched it talking notes (even though the manual Valentina put together and made available here is incredible!) over days, and I will go back to watch it again and follow along with the exercise files to cement what I learnt. Thank you Valentina! You rock!
This is the first tutorial I've managed to follow and my finished product was pretty good. Valentina explains what and why, enough for you to get it as a beginner or having messed around on Prem before. There is everything you need to get you going, how to be faster and smarter with everything, and how to add a lot of finesse to your projects. I have gone from being able to stitch together some simple end-to-end videos to being able to make something worth publishing! Thank you Valentina Vee!
Thank you so much Valentina❤ for creating this fantastic tutorial on video editing, that too of 2023 version! I've been thoroughly enjoying every lesson and have already learned so much. Your clear explanations and practical demonstrations have made the learning process incredibly engaging and enjoyable. I can't wait to apply these new skills to my own projects. Your effort and dedication🥺❤ truly shine through, and I'm deeply grateful for the knowledge you're sharing! 🫠🫶
This is the most comprehensive overview of starting to learning Premiere I've seen. I work with several video-adjacent team members and I'm going to share this with them.
I've been a professional reality/documentary editor for 30 years using Avid, have been hired for a show on Premiere and need to transfer "old" my skills to this "new" one. Thank you so very much for this incredibly clear and concise tutorial, plus you as a presenter, are just very easy to watch and follow. There are a lot of features that are going to be huge time savers like the sub-titling from the transcript that generated from clips! and sub-titles from your sequence! The "title tool" is ridiculously upgraded compared to Avid and the Motion Graphics, how fun! I look forward to playing with it all. You've taken so much frustration out of trying to learn a new software. 😊
I am a "stop and start" video editor ... high hopes to publish regularly and then .... So, I come back to this for refresh and reference, to add to my skills and I learn something new every time. Perfect pace: enough detail and options but it moves along. I also appreciate the time stamps if I am in a rush to figure something out. And all done in an engaging and fun way! Thank you Valentina V AND Adobe!!
I''m so excited to do these but I can't find a way to download the footage, I can't find an mp4 format that I can use in Premiere. Valentina can you help? Love your tutorials!
Happy anniversary on the publication of this video (June 31, 2023). I have been trying to decide if I need all the additional features of Premiere Pro not available in Premiere Elements. You have convinced me I do. In particular, the ability to do text-based editing. Normally I get a time-coded transcript made. Send it to my clients for markup and then use that for the edit. This will be so much easier and faster. You included many tips and shortcut to speed things along. If I could, I would let Adobe know you were the reason I upgraded. Thanks so much. I have a lot to learn but looking forward to that curve. Best, Alan Michaelis
I can't seem to download the footage files. I've tried accessing the link, but it seems to be a Frame IO review link without download permissions. Am I doing something wrong?
Valentina Vee is the best. Your tutorials are so excellent, easy to follow they all make sense without any unnesesrry comentry, but you explian at a pace that one can follow well I have lernt so much Thank you...... .
My main criticism of this tutorial is that Ms. Vee will often fast-forward a bit and leave me a bit confused. She's missing the finer details. I realize she's trying to condense this into two hours, but I'd rather it be longer. She's an enjoyable instructor to watch and listen to otherwise. But that first project of mine came out awful. I'm doing better on the second project.
A tutorial by Adobe will be slightly different from an independent. Should go without saying. Eg Adobe will want to skip over render in out if you use an impressive graphic from the Ae selections - the fact that you’ll have schedule a cup of coffee depending on your laptop spec. Though there are many people who aren’t aware of the render in out feature.
You are so good at explaining things and you know just the things that someone new needs to know. You clearly have a deep knowledge of the subject. Thank you for putting this out for people ❤
I agree with a ton of others here. I just purchased Premiere Pro about a week ago. I am transitioning from another video editor. I cannot tell you how helpful this video was compared to others I have watched. All I can say is THANK YOU for offering such great content for free. I make video crafting tutorials and there were some invaluable tips to help speed up my workflow and I might say make better content!
Valentina you are a genius! This video breaks down a complex process in a way that makes you feel empowered to get cracking right away. I can't wait to use the free assets to try out these techniques. The addition of AI tools is a game changer too. Top work Adobe creators. A huge thank you to Valentina. You have a great future ahead of you.
I 've watched several tutorials from other channels and I like this one the most. Covers a lot of the most important basic stuff and surprisingly my ADHD brain did not get bored watching this.
I’ve been wanting to do this for years, and I finally found a tutorial that works for me. I’m planning on going through this tutorial like a class, a half hour every day until I get this. Well done and thank you.
Superb and the free PDF is a huge bonus! Big thanks! It is amazing that we can get this level of education for free on UA-cam. I for one am very grateful.
OMG!!! JUST THE COMMAND K AND Q HAS LITERALLY UNLOCKED A WHOLE NEW LEVEL OF EDITING SPEED FOR ME! THANK YOU! Idk if you guys understand just how valuable that is! Fantastic video! 💪🏽🔥🚀🤟🏽🙌🏽🤯
I don't usually comment, but this is AMAZING! I'm a digital media undergraduate student and I'm so glad I found this video it made so much sense and it helped me a lot in my film lectures! This is what they should teach at universities, thank you so much :)
I can not thank you enough for this and your other videos. I am a professional photographer and this is all new. However you have made it accessible to me and I will now be moving forward and will be offering rudimentary video to my services. You have a calm and personable way about you which makes watching your tuitional videos seem like I have a very patient friend sat next to me throughout. Thank you again and happy Christmas.
OMG. I wish I had found this tutorial sooner. I have been using Premier Pro a few years back and everything was very much hit and miss. The tutorial is completely overwhelming for a beginner (not a criticism, I hasten to add!) and I had to go back a lot but I am currently editing a recent trip I have done and her tutorial has helped me immensely to structure my workflow from the various folders, bins etc to the shortcuts which have literally taken hours off my editing. Well done and a big "THANK YOU" to Valentina.
I've just started this video and what made me choose it was the fact it wasnt a "learn it in 15 minutes! Learn it in 8 minutes!" type of title. I seen 2 hours and thought "this will have substance, this will be thorough. This is what I need starting fresh" and going by the comments I won't be disappointed!
Wonderful! I am inspired and amazed by how much your instruction on Premiere Pro. Like others, I learned everything I needed to know to confidently edit my first video, Valentina Vee thank you so much.
What am amazing video. I am starting from complete scratch and you could not be anymore thorough within the video. The best part was not just learning just your way, but all ways to cover the general actions taking place.
This is an instructional style of "I will take you on the journey with me-Let's try this, okay, maybe now we try this." It is a step-by-step for those who respond to this teaching style. You are an engaging person with a melodic voice cadence that underpins a delightful affect. Valentina, I appreciate someone of your caliber and accolade taking the time to share with us mere mortals.
Thank you so much Valentina, for creating this fantastic tutorial on video editing. It is the most valuable content , no cap , and it was an incredible way of delivering . Every person having knowledge is not capable of transferring it. I expect Valentina to give more long lectures like this. but this one I loved it . thanks for sharing the photages to practice. THANK YOU🙏
i really love how you: - explain some meaning like frame and dimmention or slow motion with high frame. 22:49-51:30 - add some pro technique. (specially this, you don't learn very basic without techniqes and this is very good since our work doing faster and better although we are noob in this software). 32:47-34:34 - give us usefull and repetitive shortcuts that we do faster this job. 34:00 - 34:17 (shift+del for win) - give us footages and documents on caption. - proceed tutorial with good Thoughtful projects. - explain new features added to premiere pro even if we are noob but that really good cause we can now know it even if pros don't know them. 1:38:00
Hey Valentina!! I have just started to learn abt Pr and I am halfway through and I find this video super useful!! Thank you for making this video😊 Hope you make a Photoshop tutorial too!!!🤞
Valentina! This tutorial was amazing!!! I had no idea how to use Premier Pro two weeks ago and today I’m so proud to be exporting my first fully edited UA-cam video 💗 thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and making me feel very empowered :)
I am expressing my gratitude - thank you SO much! This was so incredibly helpful. I’m feeling really inspired + supported to get creative on Premiere Pro. Thank you for sharing your beautiful energy + wisdom Valentina 💛
I've been trying to learn how to use Pr for like 3 years now and kept giving up due to overwhelm, but you've made learning this so fun and engaging! You're just soooo cool! Thank you so much for this video!!!!!
VERY helpful - I wasn't saving sequences as I went a long and had to redo so much work. I also did some tutorials that told me what to do, but didn't explain why or any of the language like this. I have a much better understanding now.
I love the small details you put into this video, small things like explaining how you use shift to select all files and etc Great video, it helped me a lot with premiere, thanks a lot!
You know what, if your a beginner at premiere pro, this is it. Watch, finish, and Practice this Valentina Tutorial. You'll gain alot of Premiere Pro information here. I think all of the basics that you need to know are in this video. Every tutorial should be like this, an actual video editing from start to finish, were you'll be able to use all of the important tools in Premiere Pro. Thanks alot mam, I love you.
Thank you so much for this tutorial it really helped me to begin with. The materials were useful, well organised and I could follow up without any trouble. Looking forward for more editing tips and styles.
Finallllly, how it all works together. I've been learning online with no prior experience, so the organization is what has.been missing. I knew it was missing, but couldn't find a youtube. Alas. I am taking home movies from the 1930s and 1940s to create youtubes that more people can see. Thanks so much for your help. The BEST! Linda

Valentina Vee is the best. Your tutorials are so excellent, easy to follow they all make sense without any unnesesrry comentry, but you explian at a pace that one can follow well I have lernt so much Thank you...... .
@@LarsLangeFilms they do amazing things!
@Mike, thank you for sharing this! We value your feedback and will be sure to share this with our team.
This is great! I tried many a times, many a thing, this one clears all my doubts . Cheers.

❤ Her delivery, very clear, I'd not mind the rest.
You are so good at explaining things and you know just the things that someone new needs to know. You clearly have a deep knowledge of the subject. Thank you for putting this out for people ❤
@martinhugi7469 so much talent! 🥰
For an extreme beginner, this was an amazing resource. Valentina is an amazing teacher.
🌟
omg so far i just watched the intro to this video and GOD BLESS YOU!!! THANK YOU SO MUCHHHHHHH❤❤❤❤️
@Simply Crafty SVGs Glad you like it! Let us know what else you'd like to see 😉
A HUGE, HUGE Thank you Valentina, your updated video just came in right time, when I just purchased Premiere Pro and was looking for tutorial!
😋
I 've watched several tutorials from other channels and I like this one the most. Covers a lot of the most important basic stuff and surprisingly my ADHD brain did not get bored watching this.
@Lulu-zv1nl Thank you so much! Appreciate the support 🫶
I have been searching multiply videos to help me learn PR....This is by far the absolute best!!!! Thank you Valentina
@judylindo4570 hey thanks for making us smile, too 🤗
I’ve been wanting to do this for years, and I finally found a tutorial that works for me. I’m planning on going through this tutorial like a class, a half hour every day until I get this. Well done and thank you.
Valentina is a national treasure! Please rise!
Superb and the free PDF is a huge bonus! Big thanks! It is amazing that we can get this level of education for free on UA-cam. I for one am very grateful.
@Josh Ashdown TY for the positive vibes!
OMG!!! JUST THE COMMAND K AND Q HAS LITERALLY UNLOCKED A WHOLE NEW LEVEL OF EDITING SPEED FOR ME!
THANK YOU! Idk if you guys understand just how valuable that is! Fantastic video! 💪🏽🔥🚀🤟🏽🙌🏽🤯
@AstraRealEstate Love to hear it 😎
I don't usually comment, but this is AMAZING! I'm a digital media undergraduate student and I'm so glad I found this video it made so much sense and it helped me a lot in my film lectures! This is what they should teach at universities, thank you so much :)
@NataliaDeSousa777 You brightened our day ☺️
I can not thank you enough for this and your other videos.
@simonmurdoch4647 Glad you like it! Let us know what else you'd like to see 😉
I think you're a terrific teacher. I always enjoy your videos on Adobe Premiere, as well as all things Aputure. Thanks!
@Jerry G hey thanks for making us smile, too 🤗
@thelockdownexplorer3510 You're making our day!
I’m so impressed. I knew most of this but watching her workflow is such a good refresher. Fascinating to see the way other people use the same tools.
@weezalicious We couldn't agree more 😌
Thank you Valentina Vee!!! Your knowledge and experience with post production is a blessing to the creative community!
❤️❤️
Valuable information bundled in a comprehensive all in one lesson. Thanks Miss valentina Vee.
@mirsahib6254 it's really amazing!
@cardriver96 We couldn't agree more 😌
Wonderful! I am inspired and amazed by how much your instruction on Premiere Pro. Like others, I learned everything I needed to know to confidently edit my first video, Valentina Vee thank you so much.
@OwensDanielsPhotography this made our day ❤️
What am amazing video. I am starting from complete scratch and you could not be anymore thorough within the video. The best part was not just learning just your way, but all ways to cover the general actions taking place.
It is one of the few tutorials/workshops that I have finished successfully. Really well structured. Thanks Valentina!!
@ShivamSaini-xt6rg A true work of art 🫶
@interestedobserver76 Thank you so much! Appreciate the support 🫶
This video needs millions of views.
THANK YOU🙏
Thanks for the love @rahulkp-z9v!
Never thought I'd have to watch a 2 HOUR VIDEO for school. Worth it ig 🤷♂
i really love how you:
- explain some meaning like frame and dimmention or slow motion with high frame. 22:49-51:30
- add some pro technique. (specially this, you don't learn very basic without techniqes and this is very good since our work doing faster and better although we are noob in this software). 32:47-34:34
- give us usefull and repetitive shortcuts that we do faster this job. 34:00 - 34:17 (shift+del for win)
- give us footages and documents on caption.
- proceed tutorial with good Thoughtful projects.
- explain new features added to premiere pro even if we are noob but that really good cause we can now know it even if pros don't know them. 1:38:00
@M Love that you found it helpful!

@elfinsim Thank you for the kind words!
VERY helpful - I wasn't saving sequences as I went a long and had to redo so much work. I also did some tutorials that told me what to do, but didn't explain why or any of the language like this. I have a much better understanding now.
@LooksXLM Love that you found it helpful!
I love the small details you put into this video, small things like explaining how you use shift to select all files and etc
Great video, it helped me a lot with premiere, thanks a lot!
@antilopesalga4342 Couldn't agree more!
You know what, if your a beginner at premiere pro, this is it. Watch, finish, and Practice this Valentina Tutorial. You'll gain alot of Premiere Pro information here. The BEST! Linda
I watched 20 seconds and you are amazing. Explaining the timeline and how to use it is priceless, I had to watch multiple videos to figure out how to use it, wish I saw your video first
