Lucky her to have a hard working man
Both lucky Sons of a God!! Beauty is just Icing on the cake. 🎊
A Louisianan winter is sounding good right now…as I look out my Canadian window and the fresh 6 inches of snow on the ground….I gotta move….great slab!
Where you at we across the border from Winnipeg not supposed to get us hopefully.
Brrr!!!!
So exciting to see the slab get poured. Can't wait to see the containers on it and the configuration plans you have for them.
Thank you! We are very excited to get it started!
Smiles from ear to ear with this video!!!
That Fore Ladly is one tough project manager!! I have never seen someone work a shovel so hard as to have it break down
Wonderful video, incredible family, I dare say -- The Souths Gonna Do It Again
That’s the truth!!🤪 thank you so much!!
the little helper was doing her thing, so cute... another part was finished, now for the other part of moving the containers
Yes!!!
Awww Ladley is so darn cute 🥰. That foundation has come up a treat, so pleased you decided to get others in to complete it and save yourselves the hassle. Thanks Dirt Doctor for the drone footage. 🙌
Thank you!!
Your own airport or drag strip. Nice work. Some cut in expansion joints for concrete shrinkage and expansion for heat and cold, then they put down water seal and clear epoxy.
One big step closer! So fun to watch it all coming together. Blessings
Thank you!!
Looks simply amazing, they did a great job as well as you making this possible.
Ladley is the team leader for sure. Can't wait to see y'all again soon 💓
Fingers crossed!😆😄
Wow that's amazing and Ladley stole the show, she's precious ❤❤❤❤
She’s the best. 😍
@Caj❤❤❤❤unCountryLivin
It looks so amazing and it will be a game changer for your storage and working area. Of course Ladley is the first one to drive on the slab 😊.

@@CajunCountryLivinhave to agree, if younger families want motivation they should binge watch these two and subscribe 👍👍👍
Oh!! Awesome! Y'all could put a shopping mall in there. Love that child. She's gonna have her own race track for the Jeep now.
🤪 love it!!
Quelle construction que cette dalle de béton. Il y a de la surface pour aménager. Courage les cousins cajuns il y a encore du travail. 👍👍👏👏😘🇫🇷
Thank you so much!
OMG!!! Your lil gal is the sweetest!❤
🥰🥰🥰
That is a big ol' slab!
😁😄😃😀
Fantastic job!! Major step done! Congrats on making your dreams come true.
Thanks so much!
I love watching concrete work being done. Last Feb we had our 30 year old driveway, sidewalk and patio replaced with all new concrete. It is very expensive but totally worth the results. Our last home we put in an entire driveway using the crusher run like you used around your slab. If you rent a plate compactor you can get it nice and flat and lock it all in to be just like concrete. The only bad part is weeds will grow up through it.
really nice looking mix
Thanks!
Awesome as always. Your selection to music is the best of any you have any video I watched.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you so much! I love getting this feedback. It helps to know what y’all want to hear!
Wow that was amazing! I’m so glad you got this done. Give that little girl a cookie. 😊
Gave her 5 🍪 😁

I am the same way. I fish in crocs and wear them everyday. That weather, I was the same way. Had a jacket, shorts and crocs on and was fine! 😂
Hi!! Haha, yes!
Btw, checking emails over the next few days!
Wow, y'all go big with everything! 😎 We are almost done building our 36 × 40 shipping container shop. We had a concrete truck come out and we did the 20 × 40 pad in two pours.
Looking good!
Hi y'all. What a great pour. Y'all lucked out with the rain. Slab really looks great. Now comes the fun part. Moving those huge containers 👍👍❤❤ ...
That’s right!! Can’t wait!!
Awesome job great video
Thanks 👍
That is huge!!!! But sure looks great
Thanks!
Thanks!
Thank you so much!
Great looking slab! I get such a kick out of watching that little one out playing while you're working. I hope ya'll got her shovel back up and running again after it broke down.
Thank you! I think her shovel was a little low of automatic transmission fluid. 😂
Good morning Ernie from NYS. That was an extremely large concrete pour during a rain storm that worked out well for you. Enjoy your videos.
Thank you Mr. Earnie!
OMG…”the juice wouldn’t have been worth the squeeze”. Love it…I’m so stealing that line…lmao
😃😀😀😄
Wow Holy slab that is huge. They did a fantastic job. Not easy for how big it is. Hooray 🎉🎉❤❤❤

Thank you so much 😀
That is a huge slab for sure! What's funny is, I immediately thought "that would be perfect for Ladly to drive her power wheels on!" Soon after, Lad shows up with her power wheels 😊
It looks really good. A great foundation for sure.
Thank you!
Looks good. God bless yall.
Thank you! You too!
That is a wonderful phone case!!

The 'big gray rock' looks great. Ladly needs roller skates. Great video.

Thank you!

So big so quick 🥹
I worked with Brown and Root Construction back in 1973 after graduating from college with an Art Education Degree. I have always been an outside person and loved watching and learning construction..I worked on the board crew ,we laid roads and platforms for the rigs to set up on. I was the second woman in the Oil Field at that time..I loved it . The guys were good to me..but, I did not take advantage and EVER say ,,'oh I can't do that...' I said all of that to say I never saw anything like this..I enjoyed it and watched parts of it over and over..thanks and many blessing to you guys. lov from south alabama.
Thank you so much! Sounds like you have led a very interesting life!
OH for real...I still do.I like diversity, I like learning..It would be a long list of the diff things I have done and played super rolls in in life so far. I don't like to be still,,God has always had me on the move.@@CajunCountryLivin
You're fantastic cinematography and editing made this video of pouring a humongous concrete slab enjoyable to watch.
I was actually a bit anxious in the beginning because of the weather. I could only imagine myself being concerned about the cost and the potential problems that could have arisen.
I'm looking forward to how things progress from here.
Thank you for the feedback on the video editing! I love to hear that from y’all. Let’s me know I’m going in the right direction!
Thanks for watching!
Looks great ya'll! I know you must be excited to start on the shop. :)
Yes!
Adorable ending

Thank you so much! Yes we do for sure! Thank you for watching!
You could build a hotel on that slab !
Yes!!
Wow big slab I would’ve went with the same way that’s a lot of concrete later y’all.❤️😎🇺🇸
It was definitely a big project indeed Joe!
200 K congrats 👍💪
Thank you Will!
I would leave the track marks to slow erosion.
It's gonna be awesome work area 😁
Can't wait!
Ty4Sharing 💜
Prayerfully U Have a God Blessed Day 🙏
Thank you!
Bravo y’all! Man that’s a huge slab. Will you be cutting in relief cuts? Lydia are you filming everything on your phone? Nice work, the sound quality is really good as well. I really liked the way you’re formatting the videos now, and you’ve really grown in your content creating. Also I just wanted to say that it’s good to see that you don’t let a little constructive criticism offend you, which it shouldn’t. Y’all take care of yourselves.
We won’t be making any grid cuts in the slab. Thank you for the nice comment!
Glad that storm blew by you and everything worked out well on you poor. I’ll bet it felt good to get that done. Good job!
We were biting our nails Marc! It is definitely a relief for sure!
That’s about my luck .. pour concrete on the day I have a down pour possibly a tornado or hurricane but we don’t have many of those in the ozarks. Glad y’all got the concrete done.. that’s huge
Thank you Mr. George!
It looks huge..... But looks great at the same time. Ladley, you are too cute...
😊 thank you
Going to be an awesome shop area!
Can't wait!
My favorite family how go's it looking good keep up the good work
Hi!! Thank you Russell!
Hum,🤔
I was trying to imagine you two out there doing the pour by yourself.
All i saw were you two standing there just staring at the spot.
Jim is scratching his head and comes up with that huge number of bags of concrete.
He tells Lydia.
Then she starts staring at him.
That's when he decides I'd better just call the concrete company.
I'm so glad you went that route. It turned out great
Ladly must have approved of the way it turned out.
I think she must have walked over every inch of that slab.just smiling away 😊
It was so cute seeing her end the video.
Every time i see one of those rebar grids it reminds me of going to my grandparents when i was little.
They had those old type mattresses with the metal springs inside that squeaked every time you moved.
You couldn't sneak out of bed if you wanted to 😊
Excited about the next phase.
As always wishing you the best
.
Mr. Jim…… that’s almost exactly how the conversation went about dry pouring the slab😂 Always love reading your observations on our videos! We hope that you are having a great week friend!
Wow! It looks fantastic! Those aireal views really give an appreciation for the sheer size of this project. I agree, wet pour was the way to go.😄 I'll be 70 in about two weeks and have decided that it's much more fun watching ya'll work than me working. Problem is, I'm falling behind on my projects.😆😉
Thanks so much y’all!!!😁
We wish we were closer to help ya!
@@CajunCountryLivin Thank you.
Jim I’m with you. Shorts, crocs all year round and I’m more north of you so I get slightly colder weather. Us guys can handle a little cold. Lol.
Great minds think alike!
KeeYaw Cajun Family!!
That's a massive slab there!!
That's a biggin enough for another house!! 😁 Sure glad y'all went with a wet poured for that one, y'all be layed up for weeks the other way.
Jim to your brother that's smart idea around the slab !! Did a some like that on a driveway, except kouyon us didn't level it and it poured down Rain on it and thin it out 😁 .!! He did y'all right 👍👍.
Looking Awesomeness!!
Guessing y'all be getting some rain showers this weekend and a little cool front headed towards Louisiana again. Jim too bad they didn't make knee high Crocs for them muddy fields. 😊
👍👍👏👏😊🌟 Cajun 👨👩👧 Family 🌟
Catch y'all on the flip side or next time. 💖
Thank you Thomas! Yes sir we think that road base was definitely worth the time and money with the rain we all get! Hope you have a great week friend!
@@CajunCountryLivin good morning, glad to someone getting rain in this state, been a month since rain has fallen here. Wishing y'all a Happy Sunday and week as well
All I have to say is y'all been busy. Great job, 👍👍
Thanks Timothy!
Well done, smart move having it wet poured and finished. I've poured and finished some concrete in my time and I don't fault you a bit on having it done. You could have dry poured it in sections and had it done by Spring. LOL Couldn't have done it the Boss Ladley, she deservers an extra cookie.
That right Russ!….. or maybe early summer😂
Love your channel, Florida (Valrico) winters are the same. Ambition Strikes is sort of doing the samething.
Thank you! Interesting…. Will have to check it out.
Concrete looks good.
Thank you!
Ladley needs rollerskates for her new rink!
She would love that!
Its a workshop, so I would 110% go wet pour, @ 32 mpa, congrats on the 200K subs also, you guys deserve all the success.
Thank you very much James!
the slab looks amazing and yeah that gravel road base is AMAZING....we use it here in Arkansas as well....could use a bit more on our driveway once the funds become available....lol.
Thank you!
Massive slab, right decision to get it done for you. Now you have energy to complete the project
😊😁
You covered all of the "you know how many's?" for a dry pour except "Do you know how many stores you would have to go to and buy up all the available 80 pound bags of concrete to do this?" This was an enjoyable video, and I'm looking forward to the additional steps in the project. Thanks, y'all! (And again, to be clear, native Texan here, but my late father was born in Anacoco, so I have a Louisiana ancestor or two in my genes! Not to mention cousins and in-laws.)
Hey there Ken! You are right! I bet all those stores would be tired of seeing our faces😂
Wow. That would have been one BIG dry pour. Glad you have the shop foundation in. Journeyman shoveler Ladly sure had bad luck with her broken shovel. Must have needed some oil. 🤪
Thank you Gary! Yes, she is learning how to get out of work too fast!😂
Well, I watched the video earlier today and I am just now getting around to commenting! I’ll be darn if you didn’t answer every single question I was intending on asking! The only one I can now think of is how many yards of concrete did the pad use! I could figure it out with the number of bags but it’s just easier if you tell me since you did so good with the rest of my questions! Always a pleasure to have a new video from Cajun Country!
It took a little over 51 yards. Thank you so much for watching!
Really nice sized yard rock. Jealous of how big that shop is going to be. Really happy for you guys. When it’s done you’re going to enjoy the heck out of it. But first, you gotta build it. 🤣
Thank you Bobby! Hopefully it won’t take us long to get it built 😂
Nice shop pad. That base rock costs $34.50 a ton at the pit in my area and worth every penny. Can't wait to see the completed shop. Good work y'all.
Thank you Rick!
Looks great and that would have been a lot of bags of concrete. That is making my back hurt just thinking about it. And I like the the Mud Season description of all the rain in LA. Could have used that when we were living in Houma. But we liked the seasons of Spring, Summer, Fall, Almost Winter.
😊😊
The "dream workshop build" is my favorite search on UA-cam... but yours doesn't come up... at least not on the first few pages - probably because you don't have that phrase "dream workshop build"... or whatever. I enjoyed your house build... but I'm going to especially like THIS build. Ever since Andrew Camaratta built his Shipping Container Castle, I've been intrigued with what people can do with those shipping containers... Pacific Pines Ranch is another one... just in case you need some inspiration/encouragement... to see how nice they can come out.
Thank you for watching!
Maybe you could get the Croc boots for the winter time....hehehe. Pouring concrete in the rain is NOOOOO fun indeed....been there done that.
Love the Croc boot idea!!
That new space is GREAT,great place for beer cooler. There’s going to be a lot of Daddy in the shop 😂
😁😁
Looking good. I'll trade you michigan winters for Louisiana winters! 😂 love ladi the little helper!
🤪
Good job explaining about cost difference between dry and wet pour. Definitely saved your backs and some bucks, For small projects like most of our here do l really appreciate you teaching us dry pour, concrete trucks have some sort of minimum charge. Both methods definitely have their place. Ladly has great shoveling skills. You guys have really come a long way since you had that early morning concrete pour for your house.
It definitely brought back memories of the house slab for sure Mr. Steve! Small steps lead to great achievements 😊
The little 2 timer has the wrong handed shovel lol😊
😂
Your wire looks so thin, way smaller than what we use here. We call it a pump truck Jim 😅😂 Definitely an epic concert pour, how many cubic metres? It’s Lydia big new play area? 😊 or Gus’s new dog house? 😂 Can’t wait until the workshop builds start. I assume the dirt doc will use a digger to shift the crates? Until the next video ❤😊
Hey there Robin! Our reinforcement wire was a little thin but it was woven from Hercules’ chin whiskers😂🤣 It took a little over 51 yards of concrete in total. We have kind of a cool idea to move the containers… but we have to build it first😁
I operate concrete pump trucks also we have the same version of that schwing at our company
😁
