I just mounted my BlackBox on a Veda arm, it’s so funny looking being so small but the arm keeps it right in front and at the perfect height and angle!
@@suspectfrequency6733 I'm still waiting to buy it :( however I want to do a much research as possible before making the purchase. Videos like this help :)
I like the beatstep pro but I wanted something similar but more powerful... this Blackbox is looking good for all sequencing needs... and more. And I already have a blue box
Thank you for the great info. Do you know how to copy and paste the Steps in the same sequence? I only see how to copy to another sequence. Thanks again.
Unfortunately you can’t on the BlackBox. While a lot of hype is put into touting the sequencer, it’s actually lacking many basic features we find in sequencers in any other format such as DAW’s, hardware, and App’s. On the 1010music forum they have a Wishlist thread where I’ve made a request for ‘A More Finger Friendly Step Sequencer’ and part of that request is for basic copy and paste functionality. I do my normal piano roll midi sequencing outside of the BB and either import or record it in to the BB sequencer, or play it in love with a midi keyboard as a less annoying workaround to the BlackBox’s limitations. If you want to, it would be a huge help to find my post at the 1010 forum, and add a reply asking for it to be implemented, and explain why you want the copy/paste (as opposed to just ‘+1-ing’ it. The developers upgrade features largely by the community show of interest off of the Wishlist posts, so the more comments on a feature thread the better. If you want any ideas or help with creating and importing into the sequencer, let me know. I’ve been considering doing a video on the different ways I do it. Thank for watching my video!
I am struggling to get going with the blackbox. Why not just load up a new preset for each new song? Just through the outputs into a delay to make a smooth transition or whatever.
I do that with a Korg KP3 effects/sampler among other gear. This is just one of many solutions that people can use who are working with only the BlackBox. The BlackBox also has a song mode that, while limited, is certainly useable Here I am just presenting one possible way of working with the unit.
Hey Hey! Nice one - thanks for this! 😁👊
Thank you so much! helped a ton!
Useful demo, thanks for sharing. Also, love the Macguyver mod to your overhead camera setup ;)

Thanks a bunch ! Very nice tips!
Regarding the MIDI sequences, is it mute/unmute, or stop/play? From your video it's more like a stop/play rather than mute/unmute, correct?

How many instrument inputs for recording?
Meanwhile all features of the blackbox have very much changed and improved by latest version 3. Please have a look.
thanks
