  • Brazil nut milk with sea moss and hemp seeds is one of my favorite meal replacement shakes.
    Ingredients:

    Add:
    1 cup of mango
    1/4 cup of hemp seeds
    4 pitted dates
    2-4 tablespoons of sea moss gel
    1/8 teaspoon of vanilla been or 1/2 tsp of vanilla powder
    1/2 banana
    Maple syrup to taste
    Optional:
    1/4 tsp of cinnamon

    I am an American living in the West Indies. I just love Sea Moss Drink. Comes in a glass bottle. We have three choices here. With Linseed (my favorite) or Peanut.
    Thankfully I live in Florida half the year and have a lot of Caribbean stores where hopefully I can buy the Sea Moss. It is SOOO delicious.

    Great shake! I make mine with hazelnuts, vanilla bean, and dates. What do you suggest for someone who's going plant based, but would like to bulk up and put on weight?

    • @CaribSunsations
      @CaribSunsations  8 років тому +7

      Nuts and seeds are your friend. Also you can add avocados to make a thicker shake. Garden burgers are great also and anything that contains chickpeas and sea moss.

      Ok thanks! This would be for my brother who has problems increasing his size and has a fast metabolism rate compared to most guys

    • @CaribSunsations
      @CaribSunsations  8 років тому +6

      Bulking up on a plant based lifestyle has its benefits and drawbacks. However, there are far more benefits. One thing that I noticed personally was when I switched from power lifting and body building to mixed martial arts training years ago. I could not carry the weight that I previously did. I was doing too much cardio to maintain the mass. The benefit to that, however, was the fact that I could do more with my body as far as speed and flexibility. I did not notice a loss in strength either. In fact, my strength increased. I don't lift weights as often as I used to, but I am able to maintain the strength that I had for my working sets. I don't do max sets anymore. This is just a part of my story but I do understand that guys love the bulky muscular look. These days I tend to go by how I feel and I am in the best shape of my life due to good nutrition and proper exercise. I will be posting some workout videos here and on the channel for my school Spartan Martial Arts and Fitness soon. It is geared more towards toning and performance workouts though.

    Thanks for putting out this information. Will Sea moss help to detoxify the colon/stomach? If so, about how long should i use sea moss as a meal?

    • @CaribSunsations
      @CaribSunsations  6 років тому

      +koolkokujin7015 Sea moss is great for stomach issues because of its ability to gather and absorb foreign materials within the body. It also helps to soothe an inflamed colon and intestinal track and soften stools for easier elimination via bowel movement. Start off with 1 tbsp in the morning of the gel followed by 16-32oz of spring water at room temperature. At night take 1 tbsp with 8-16oz of water. This is what we do along with putting it in our recipes. No intestinal issues and bowels are always easy. Once you feel the issue go away, you can cut back on the sea moss if you would like. Hope this helps. If you try this please keep us up to date. Peace and love 👍

      +Nolan Shaw You are correct. Dr. Sebi removed maple syrup from his list. As a matter of fact a lot of items that were once on his list have been removed, and if he was alive today I am sure he would have modified the list again. His list was intended to be a guide to assist people taking his herbal compounds or looking to follow a more alkaline lifestyle. If you are currently taking his therapy package then I recommend that you follow his latest nutritional guide like we did. Even Dr. Sebi did not follow his own guide all the time. He has publicly stated that he ate fish occasionally. This was prior to his last fast before he passed away. This does not take away from his greatness and I thank him for everything that he has done for me and my family, however our channel is intended to assist people in making a smooth transition from meat based to plant based.

    Can you leave the nut/seed pulp in? Do you have to strain it?

    • @CaribSunsations
      @CaribSunsations  8 років тому +2

      the only seeds that we recommend blending without straining are hemp seeds. Nuts like almonds, brazil nuts, hazelnuts, etc. should be blended first and strained. This makes it easier to digest. Too much can cause stomach issues.

    what do you clean your fruit with if you leave the skin on? I buy my hemp seeds from Trader Joe's but the bag is so little so you know who sells them in bulk?

    • @CaribSunsations
      @CaribSunsations  8 років тому

      If our fruits are store bought, then we soak them in apple cider vinegar
      and rinse them. We get our hemp seeds from amazon and we purchase no
      less than 4 pounds. It works out to a little over $10 per pound. Her is
