OK. Quick question. How do I get to the top two mounting bolts on the compressor. I am doing a water pump by your videos. I want to hang the ac pump but have no idea how to get to the top bolts. Thanks.
@@TheGibby3340 Yeah. I spoke too soon. I got the AC compressor off. My patience was wearing a little thin. Now my issue is the bolts from water pump to the block feel like they may snap. Is it OK to hit that area with some heat? Or just soak the crap out of it with blaster? lol Maybe I should go back to the water pump video now. Anyhow, what a bear. Cheers.
how did you bend the aluminum tubing? I was afraid to crack it. I decided to just put a screwdriver through the bolt hole, put a towel around the pipe and bent it with channel locks. it was a bit nervous task, so I wonder if you had a better method. It fit in the end, but it is still touching the bolt a little. Hope it does not bind up the washer inside and cause a leak.
Fair statement. It is a risk. Considering the alternative is it’s not gonna fit. I was willing to risk tweaking the lines a little by hand. Thx for watching 👍
@@TheGibby3340 The video is awesome by the way. there are not many professional videos like this that actually reference the manual specs and think things through. Good job and keep them coming!
@@lembitpress8407 Thank you very much indeed. I apologize as I don’t think initially I read your entire comment. If memory serves I think you are likely referring to the single compressor mount bolt which fouls right at the coupling….I removed that mount bolt, inserted the line stub and gingerly bent the line until adequate clearance was attained. Then refit the mount & line bolts. Admittedly rather brutish, but as I said I was left with little choice. Thx again 🍻
Brilliant work Ian, attention to detail is 2nd to none 👍🍻
Thx Ian. Wee bit of a struggle but getting there. Cheers 👍
Great work
Thx Boss. I am not as clever as you will all the programming and coding. But I enjoy this stuff. Cheers 👍

2L, original compressor?

Judgment call…Take your time. Pay close attention to the segment in the water pump video detailing the bolts. Good luck 🍀

The easy way is to buy the UAC discharge line.
Hi Gibby, are their bolt heads inside the engine bay that need to be removed to actually loosen the hvac unit so I can pull it out?
Hi. This is a 4 part video. The complete process is painfully detailed 🤣 If you still have questions get back to me, I will try to help. 🍻
Difficult to judge the oil balance without flushing but I'm with you on slightly more is better than too little. Looking forward to part 2 🧐
Tricky to rationalize that situation. Cheers Iain 👍
PLEASE SHOW ME WHERE THE COMPRESSOR IS
We really need to find a way to smuggle you some proper coolant. Although I shouldn’t say anymore on this platform.
You’ll hear me briefly “rant” about this very issue in part 2 🤣 Thx for watching 👍
