Funnily useless fact: if you're a Lovecraftian aficionado, it becomes quite apparent that the Far Harbor DLC was inspired by the story The Shadow over Innsmouth where an investigator arrives at the Harbor town of Innsmouth to look into disappearances where it turns out that the townsfolk are cross breeding themselves with the Deep Ones. Things like the Shadow and Dick Tracy and such. It's actually perfectly in character to be that way. I've listened to a bunch of them because of my father.
Thing about the Children of Atom: you only need to have started the Far Harbour Children of Atom questline. Hell, I had actually *blown them up* before going to the crater and still got the extra dialogue with Isolde.
Fun fact about the Dry Rock Gulch questline: If you have the Robotics Expert perk you get an easy speech check to bypass the protectrons' missions. You basically go "Yeah we're not doing this," and can override them to give you the safe combination. Learned that during my main playthrough when I got into Automatron. Also in Chase's quest in Far Harbor where you search for the missing synth, if you have the Cannibal perk you get another easy speech check where you relate to the Trappers that ate the synth.
You are also able to mention that you are part of the far harbor children of atom during the brotherhood of steel quest where you get the nukes for liberty prime. Did far harbor quest line very early in last play through and thought it was cool to be able to mention it to pretty much every child of atom that had a question about you.
I Enjoy The Silver Shroud Role-play and I actually "discovered" it on the first play-thru mainly because I updated/upgraded it with that stuff from the underground railroad making it great for fighting raiders, I realized I should be wearing it part way through the sheriff bit and found out he changed dialogue. Still one of my favorites.
@@mannamoth918 the sheriff in the western park in the Nuka world dlc, if you're wearing the silver shroud outfit you have the dialogue choice to "speak as the Shroud" "Sheriff! Your town is Infested With Vermin!" 🤣😆😂🤣😎🤓
Heh, I have 2000 hours in this game, and only recently found out that the Silver Shroud dialogue comes up in several other spots. When going up against the Mechanist, and wearing the Silver Shroud armour, you'll get special Silver Shroud options with her. If you've completed the Silver Shroud questline before meeting the Railroad, Deacon will introduce you as/imply that you're the Silver Shroud (I believe you can't be part of any other faction for this dialogue to occur, otherwise Deacon will introduce you as the General or Brotherhood). Didn't know about the Nuka World options!!
I don't know if you've covered it, but something cool I found is that you can enter a Pulowski Preservation bomb shelter, close the door, and listen to Pre-War commercials. Also, you can enter VATS when there are no enemies or people around, essentially slowing down time. Doesn't really do anything, but I thought it was interesting.

There is a lot of quests where you can “speak as the shroud”. One of my first play-throughs, I almost always wore the costume because of how cool it looked. Anyways, my favorite instance of this is when you confront the Mechanist, you both stay in character... Epic

Heading to Nuka Wolrd next to grab Oswald and give him a proper good ending where he finds a new family with us traveling the Commonwealth.
the oddest one I found was a holo tape for allen the ghoul toy maker. you can find a tape from his daughter and give it to him. The other was.. the secret tunnel entrance into the institute. It is a back door if you happen to immediately kill father when meeting him... The teleporter breaks and the institute goes full hostile.
Watching this while having breakfast this morning I said "Hi, Nate" back to your introduction without even thinking. I might be starting to watch too many of your videos ahaha.
How about some odd but cool easter eggs in Fallout 4? One that I know of is that if you name your Sole Survivor one of many Easter Egg recorded names, Codsworth will actually call you by that name instead of his usual 'Sir' or 'Mom'. There's also a super secret ending you can get in the very beginning of the game but can prove to be hard. Three Dog also gets mentioned in the game.
Considering Nuka World had the sheriff robot programmed to have a response to The Silver Shroud, it seems maybe Nuka-Cola might have been planning a Silver Shroud event at Nuka World that would involve interaction between the actor playing the Shroud and the park assets for the entertainment of attendees.
Now that's pretty cool! I didn't like the Nuka-World DLC very much, only completing the main quest (and by that I mean immediately purging the place of any raider presence first chance I got). So finding out new interesting stuff about it is nice!
I do that too. I only did the evil ending to get the achievements for it and then erased my saves because I didn't like the idea of being a monstrous warlord...
I sided with Lorenzo to hear his side and killed him once inside the Cabot House, and there is actuall dialogue where the SoleSurvivor apologizes after putting the family in peril. In the end Lorenzo is dead but the family stayed young even after some time passed
If you go through the terminal in jacks office you find out jack is dead and it’s actually his twin brother, and he isn’t trying to save lorenzo anymore
I won't get the opportunity to have that dialogue with Isold about the Far Harbor Children of Atom in my current playthrough. She didn't survive when I went to them searching for Virgil... I can't remember what exactly happened, but I think I was fighting a radscorpion and a deatchlaw with weapons that would make easy work of killing them, and she got too close to them or in my line of fire. I paused the video at 2:12 and Jesus it looks so much like Whiterun from Skyrim... yes I know it’s the same company.
If you join the Far Harbor chapter of the children of Atom you can also bypass the follower during the BoS quest where you need to retrieve nukes for Liberty Prime. You can mention you're a member and he'll assume you need the nukes for reasons relating to Atom and let you through
If you become an Inquisitor I think I remember them acknowledging that at the Crater
Wow, guess that me picking Lorenzo really was the right choice. Didn't know they aged like that.
I love your video’s dude!
I absolutely love these videos because I do try to explore as much as I can, but you still share new things to me! I had no idea alcohol actually slurs your character's speech!
Fallout 4 was so good compared to what we have now
It's a great game in general. I'm curious to try New Vegas to see if it's as good as everyone says it is. But until then, 4 is my favourite
@@warlordsquerk5338 You should. The game was made by people who specialized in making RPGs and even the original developers of Fallout.
@@warlordsquerk5338 Did you play it?
I never knew I could get so many uploads from Nate this consistently
Now after watching all these I need to play through as the silver shroud entirely!
wilomica SAAAAAME! 🤣 I laugh so hard every time my female character speaks in that manly voice 😜
Your videos are all so well produced. Thanks nate.
That drunken dialog is genius, yet so hidden xD
It goes even further than that. Various chems will also affect dialogue.
OMG, I never knew about the silver shroud armour option. All I can say is wow
I wish atomatron had this many unknow things
oh man, I had no idea about any of these! It's crazy how much detail they can pack into a video game these days
One video where I finally knew about everything in it
Great to see some people play this game after all these years :3
Do a 10 tiny Details about yourself
Coincidentally, I only yesterday discovered the Marowski Heist or something like that. Played through this game like 4 times and only now did I find it.
2:23 Are those letters N, A, O, R brighter to you? Wasn’t Sole Survivors wife’s name Nora? Or am I seeing shit again...?
It's not just you, lol
They are just bulky letters so they look brighter
duuuuude i never moticed that and it spells out nora if you switch it arojnd😂😂i know im late but idc i am baffled by how i didnt see this
the background music is so calming
"dragonboruh- sole survivor"... you crack me up nate! (have you been playing too much skyrim??)
On things to do. Did you enter Myrna's house in Diamond City yet? She has a terminal with a list of her suspicions. It's funny.
“The drago-i mean sole Survivor” lol
It's Feb 2022, I've spent hundreds of hours on the game (no sleep on my watch!) and I still find out about new quests, easter eggs and items either on my own or by watching these videos.
Am I the only one who thinks that Nate sounds like one of the super Carlin brothers?
5:41 I like when he says “sing it brother” when taking chemo and skipping dialogue 😂
5:18 Dragonborn? 😂 No I saw u corrected it lol
Hi Nate
That shroud option can also be done with the mechanist as well
gatorclaws are just renamed daedroths from TES
Man, Brian Delaney was having A LOT of fun recording the dialog for the main character acting as *_THE SILVER SHROUD!_*
