- Setting up our gear for a surfcasting mission, we were all set to tuck into some of what the Far North had to offer. Trucks were packed with a 6 hour drive ahead. Sleep was not on the cards!!
In this video we targeted Large Trevally, Kingfish and Kahawai and what unfolded was absolutely crazy!!

Heya brother, yeah man either that or one of the offshore reels. The 10500 is going for 199 at the moment t which is a crazy price too. The SR160 is a great reel that's for sure man so either option will look after ya. Thanks for the support man always appreciated

Mean my bro! Not sure who's tangi this was for we caught some of the fish for uncle Steve's tangi as well bro. But this trip was a couple weeks back.
Bro...When slidebaiting what length trace do you generally use & what length line between the swivel and the sinker? Does the trace always have to be shorter?
Typically a metre or just under and make sure sinker line is slightly longer! Another quarter length of trace roughly.
With Temps getting colder- what's ur suggestions on fishing from land- based in Auckland, we have a small boat but not wanting to hit the boat every weekend.
Yeah definitely a lot less fish around in winter but definitely still worth getting a bait out matey. Places like whangaparaoa can be amazing during winter. Often bigger fish around in winter too so can be very worthwhile

Nah was just casting for my gear. One of the boys was using a drone for some tests etc. With crazy results!!

Nice to see fin nor gear being used is that the new up graded 9500? I want the 10500. I pretty much just use finnor reels off the beach I use a pen 9500 and

It's good to be able to chill and watch you guys Crack it especially not being able to hit the rocks this weeked😀 one thing I'd do is have a burley out but maybe up there you'd get sharks 🦈

Yeah man tell me about it. Been crazy few weeks man and the last few trips out either no catch (marlin) or charter where people weren't keen to be on vids etc. So have had a struggle for content to be fair.
