When you ran it out of fuel you underestimated the Honda engine! They are SO reliable! I had a teeny tiny 38" mower, i never did anything but put an air filter in it, and gas, no oil changes or anything in about 12 years owning it! Not saying that this is a practice you should follow but Honda engines are so so reliable! Expensive but reliable! Love your videos as always!
You nailed it with the mini skid as a tool to use year round . I run an old boxer 427 brute tracked unit with similar controls . Since I’m only a small operation I needed a machine to get in tight spots , and do a bit of everything. I have a grapple , a 54” material bucket and the backhoe attachment. The machine is basically a crew of 6-10 guys without the liability. I love you videos Stan, good material you put out .
As with all true experts your modesty shows through! A nice bit of kit but at my age a seat would be vital. Nice to see credits for the excellent music Stanley . Bless you fellow Brother Of The Land - your videos warm my heart on these cold winter nights!
Long comment alert!!! I own a 2018 Titan XD SV midnight edition diesel . I have owned it since new and put 30,000 miles on it. It’s my work truck and daily driver. I’m a full time firefighter/emt, so I never have the option to stay home from work for inclement weather ( snow/ice, flooding, storm debris) it never fails me. As far as a work truck, I haul an enclosed trailer about 3 days a week during the mowing season. With multiple mowers and handhelds I estimate 5k lbs. I also haul my Kubota Bx2200 with loader. It’s by no means a 3/4 ton but also not a 1/2 ton. It handles the weight of the trailers well and stays around 18 mpg. It’s comparable to 3/4 ton numbers of the early and mid 2000’s. I have also driven the truck all over the southeast on vacation. With family and a bed full of luggage it’ll get 23 mpg highway. It’s the family truckster as well, i prefer it 10 to 1 to my wifes 2020 Grand Cherokee Altitude. However it was Nissans best kept secret and the Cummins diesel was discontinued after 2019. ‘18 and ‘19 models are the most sought after due to having the bugs worked out.
So if you keep that machine within it's context you will have a better experience. Being brand new, those hydro's will be very jumpy until they break in. It is not like a piece of "heavy equipment". It is essentially a cracked out wheel barrow!!! (That can handle 40 + attachments) My Dingo 322 is one of the older series out there, and once you re align the expectations and get some time behind the controls, you will see that pound for pound they are very efficient, and when used correctly are also very low impact. Don't worry Stan there is a sharp learning curve!!!! Keep up the great vids
Toro Dingo is very jerky as well, it’s a work out running a mini skid steer. Some jobs are made for these machines, had to move 12 yards of stone though a 5ft gate.. Perfect machine for the job!
That machine is essentially a copy of the "Dingo" that was invented in Australia in the 1980's. The hydraulic system is very crude compared to what you'd find in a modern skid-steer. Toro acquired the rights to the Dingo name for the Americas in 1997, and having briefly used a Toro Dingo TX1000, it's a much more refined machine.
Ha Stanley, great demo. I've only seen you do a couple videos with stand on loaders. You've got to try out Kubota's new SCL-1000 & Vermeer's new CTX-160 And ditchwitch's SK1550 & Sk3000They are all power house's . Keep up the good work and God Bless you my brother from another mother 👍👍
Of all your great videos, my favorites by far are those where you try out a new piece of equipment. I love your comments; makes me so glad I subscribed.
I’ve been using mini skid loaders since 1996. It’s pretty much the same machine I’ve used and they are so versatile we used it for EVERYTHING. I was able to load 3 to 4 yards of fill, stone and mulch into dump trucks many times. There’s a certain way to do it but it can definitely be done. I’ve used about 10 or more different attachments. Love the Honda engine on that machine though. I like this machine and will check them out. You’ll love owning that.
That seems like a pretty cool machine. Skunks. I grew up where we adopted this dog that was being abused but ended up taking our other dog out on rainy nights coming back reeking of skunk. Still kept him and loved him, Tiny was his name. He would sit on his rump and drag himself along the rug a bit. I swear he knew how to smioe, too. He had a habit of passing gas right next to you, get up and move across the room and look at you smiling especially when you caught a good whiff. They were bad. If you were paying attention you might hear a lttle pfift sound. Aaah ,the things we remeber sometimes. Thanks for sharing.
We run Toro Dingos which are the same as that machine. Perfect for us going in backyards fits in most gates doing paver patios, grading, and even setting stone steps. Great video
We run a bobcat mt 85 with wide track option. I was on the fence and had my doubts even after an extended demo period. But now that it’s part of the fleet we couldn’t operate without it. Definitely earns its keep.
My favorite part of this video was inside the dealership.... No masks and a handshake. How 2019 of everyone. Seriously, thanks for the video. I've been looking into a smaller stand on mini loader as an alternative to the dingo and bobcat
I had a ditch witch sk350 tracked mini skid steer and I bought a drop off bucket for it. I had a pick up truck with a steel dump body. With the drop off bucket I was able to unload the dirt to the apposite side of the truck. That style bucket is well worth the money.
That's what I love about this channel I was really thinking about buying one but I was skeptical on I went with B I wanted to see what someone else couldn't do with it first
That would be great for cleaning out barns. The surecan’s are a great idea, however they let fuel out way to slow for me. I found myself using the fill hole to pour gas out. I myself prefer the race style cans like what VP or u line has.

Used a Toro Dingo for a few years in a cattle barn and loved it for feeding since we had to feed close to 200 head by hand carry 2 5 gal pails and it was a time process. Our Alley ways and doors were 60 inches wide and it was great we cut time from 5 hours down to one hour . We found it a bit loud but once all got used to it no prob . I got to play with a New Kubota SCL mini it was very nice with tracks and a diesel engine it was a little Brute..
I have a Titan XD with the diesel and I am very impressed with the truck so far only 56,000 on it in 2 years so far but it tows great and for the price is almost impossible to beat.
Had one of those, was awesome but the engine blew after a year, I believe it was deleted at one point before I got it and then was kinda out back to stock before I got it.
I loved it and I was warranty work, Cummins replaced the whole thing but had to move in because parts were back ordered 3 months and my business couldn't wait.
You mentioned the Tesla truck. Pulling a trailer, the power will but phenomenal. But I think I learned in my years of working with battery powered equipment in a warehouse. The more of a load you put on the battery, the faster you drain the batteries. Any time you have to climb a grade will also drain the batteries. Temperatures are a huge factor with batteries in equipment, the colder the temperatures the faster the batteries will drain. And they take longer to charge in colder temperatures too. Speaking of charging, the batteries will take 8 to 12 hours to fully charge. If you short charge the batteries, it will dramatically shorten the life of the batteries. A word of caution, if a battery powered vehicle get in a accident. Batteries have a tendency to explode. These are some things that I learned being a forklift mechanic
@@Chris-gk9ng pallets will slide over reese rails no problem. A friend has 2500hd gmc he used to get a skid of 5 gallon cartons of damaged ice cream from his work every year ruffly. And if you still have problems you could take some sort of stiff mat/plywood and set over the rails first
Really enjoyed this video. I am considering buying a similar piece of equipment. I have looked at the single purpose sidewalk snow removal equipment. To me they are too expensive to only be used 4 moths of the year. So something like this would be more useful. I have a small mowing/snow removal business.

We have a Bobcat MT-85 and a Vermeer CTX-160 and both have pilot controls and tracks like a full size skid loader and they’re much easier to use than the one you’re running Stan. They’re barely at the shop, since they’re so popular among the crews. Highly recommend picking up a mini skid
Sure beats a shovel and a wheel barrow. Reminds me of John deere gator tires (always flat after a couple days) I could see if it can run a broom and grapple then it could be an awesome machine.
I just traded my 2016 Nissan Titan Diesel. I would say stay away from that diesel. There are some issues and it is not as good on fuel as the Ram 6.7. The Titan is a "tweener truck". Seats are amazing...the HD version has a different frame and larger brakes, axles etc. If I bought another, I would get the gas. They have discontinued the diesel. Hope that helps ya Stan!
Put a tooth bucket on it and it'd be perfect for that. I'm intrigued by the possibility of using a mini skid-steer in underground mining, as some modern mines intersect old workings that larger equipment won't fit in.
I own a Toro Dingo 322 which is very similar. I have fixed gravel drives, trenching for buried power lines and phone lines with the trenching attachment. It is also great for moving trailers around. So this machine should do all that as well.
not really- I thought it was going to be but then realized- I really do use it for work. More than I thought I would. Its getting a lot of miles on it.
@@Dirtmonkey no more grease to tension it, instead there is a hydraulic ram that maintains the tension. When you turn off the machine it lets off the tension so your tracks arn't constantly under stress when you arn't using it.
I learned how to operate on dinosaur mustang. Had the old t handle. They are great machines. Last I understood they are owned by Gehl now. Don’t quote me on that tho.
Steel green manufacturing makes a snow plow that attaches to the front of their fertilizer spreader now you should check it out . Turns a summer rig into a year round machine like you were saying .
A Titan XD is not quite a 3/4 ton truck, it is often referred too as a heavy duty half ton. It has a 3/4 ton frame with most of the other components shared with the half ton titan. It can actually do quite a bit of work. It can run a full size plow and does have a standard gooseneck hitch although towing maxes out around 12k
@@Dirtmonkey Yes I would recommend it. It is a very confident/capable half ton as long as you do not expect it to do all the work of a 3/4 ton. Best truck warranty too 5 year/100,000 miles. There is speculation though that it may go out of production in the next few years due to poor sales. JD from Big truck Big RV has a good walk around here ua-cam.com/video/_Pdyl5TP5os/v-deo.html
New Hummer is Gonna have 1000HP and be all elec...no way I would touch a Tesla truck....but those Titan HD's with the small Cummin's in them, thats cool all way around. Gotta be good!!
In Australia where this type of machine was created it is called a dingo and they are a great little machine with loads of different attachments from tranches, 4 way buckets, cement mixes, forklift, rippers, ect. Anyone can use them
Toro makes these also and they are called dingos. We have an older one that has tires but also have a set of tracks that go over the wheels. We took a plow from a grasshopper zero turn, made a bracket of it to attach to the skid steer style hook up and use that for sidewalks.
I own a Titan xd diesel with platnium package. Platnium has 20 inch wheels. I tow a fith wheel toyhauler and Ive worked mine as well. The XD is a full box frame its considered a 5/8 truck. Fits nice in parking spaces.
Part of the problem may be retraining one's reflexes, not just basic motor skills? With most types of machinery one has a reflex of holding the controls lightly, so any body movement isn't transferred to the machine controls - but with that machine it's designed for the operator to hold the grips firmly, for support and stabilisation, allowing a stable platform for the hands relative to the controls, potentially allowing fine control while it's still moving around. Oh, if he pick-up truck is to be used for picking stuff up and hauling stuff, for your next truck it may be an idea to purchase a cab-chassis version and have a local metal shop build you up a tray/deck from 3/16" plate to your design (actually, you may find one of the trailer companies is interested as it may open up a new revenue stream for them?). It'd take a lot of punishment and you wouldn't care about the odd dent. You may even fit side drop gates for easy side access.
Great demo Stan, I'm in the market for a stand on mini skid steer track machine. I'm looking at Ditch Witch Sk1050 Kubota SCL 1000 and Vermeer 925 as an all-around multi purpose machine at can do just about anything with the right attachment. Would be great to see you do a review on this style of machine. Thank you for doing youtube videos 👍👍keep up the good work and God bless you!
Stan doesn’t look like you ran it to bad for the third time you ran it I have a tracked boxer it’s like riding a bull in a rodeo over ruff terrain. Your back and muscles feel it by the end of the day. As for snow the tracks make it useless to light slides around might be ok if it had a v plow. Looking at a s70 bobcat inclosed cab with heat for sidewalks.
I think the Titan is considered a 5/8 ton truck so its right between the 1/2 and 3/4. Other than that, I have not heard if they are decent trucks or if they tow well. I would see if TFL Truck has some info on them.
I have two regular Titans and thought about trying out the diesel. I have weighed out the rock qaury with the standard ones I have weighing 26 k total pounds. I pull equipment and dump trailers on a regular bases and really like my Titans. Only down fall is the gas ones have sucky fuel mileage but has the strength to do a lot more than your normal f150 or such. Plus DOT leaves us alone with our trucks, and yet we pull more than most them other bigger trucks.
Legally, a Nissan Titan HD is classified as a half ton truck. But you you research the specs, it's built like a 3/4 ton truck. And with the V8 Cummins, it'll run forever. I'm seriously considering getting one. And I'm a Ford guy. LOL
Seems like a give and take deal.. you get a small machine with a short wheelbase for tight areas and put up with the tipping and rocking. Like the old skidsteers. But that said I can think of hundreds of jobs to use it on.
I have 2014 Boxer 322D Has the two drive levers , two outside levers boom and bucket. Point being yes it took me 4 ,5 hundred hours to perfect the machine. It's like a stick shift truck , nobody can borrow it 😃
I like the wheels on a WorkyQuad but I despise those controls. Toro really has the controls down much better on their new Dingos. The reason I don’t like the forward/backward lever control with handles to rest your palms is it makes it hard to use the loader while also moving the machine at the same time, whereas Toro Dingo one hand is for steering and the other is for the loader so you can run the loader arms while also moving the machine. But to my knowledge the Dingo only offers tracked machines. Overall they’re about the same size and you can use the Toro Dingo year round as well.
Good stuff man just last year my boss got a new one ton and not even 8 hrs into the first day bam his daughter bf backed into it then the next day he let some girl drive it and she was pulling up to the pumps and those steel hoops that protect the pumps boom right into it she rode to the homeowners house with me lol not a good day
I have a kang 520 g with a 20 horse Honda pretty much made just like controllers you have on that it is awesome in snow moving mulch and other materials I built a larger bucket for snow removal
@@Dirtmonkey I bought the whole package it was about 7 years old for 12000trailer pallet forks trencher rototiller four in one bucket auger with 9 12 + 36 bits l
what about rollover backwards? How stable does it feel? Skid-steers are known for that. In case of this machine if rollover happens, the operator will get squashes. Should have somekinda safety bar behind the machine? Thanks for posting
All these new tires that come on new machines never seal correctly on the rim bead. Gotta pour slime or the like right off the bat. Not a huge deal, just remember this before you send it
You didn’t have to bleed it after it ran out because it’s a gas motor. I think you are used to diesel equipment where you need to do the fuel filter and get the air out of the system
Ur going to town truck lol 😆 I had one of thoes till I blew my motor .... dont get an electric truck its seems wrong just wrong Stan ..... could u put a sweeper on that lil thing

Put a tooth bucket on it and it'd be perfect for that. I'm intrigued by the possibility of using a mini skid-steer in underground mining, as some modern mines intersect old workings that larger equipment won't fit in.
or dirt jumps ;)
I own a Toro Dingo 322 which is very similar. I have fixed gravel drives, trenching for buried power lines and phone lines with the trenching attachment. It is also great for moving trailers around. So this machine should do all that as well.
So this is basically the going to town rig but we do just enough “Work” for the write off!👍
not really- I thought it was going to be but then realized- I really do use it for work. More than I thought I would. Its getting a lot of miles on it.
I bought a mustang skid steer from them this year, it's awesome in the snow! You should check out their self tensioning track system.
I didn't know they had that.
@@Dirtmonkey no more grease to tension it, instead there is a hydraulic ram that maintains the tension. When you turn off the machine it lets off the tension so your tracks arn't constantly under stress when you arn't using it.
Those XBox skills will finally be useful in real life for me LOL
Ironically he actually hires only gamers to operate these machines for his company
Those mustang skid steers are amazing definitely demo one if you can
will try...thanks
I learned how to operate on dinosaur mustang. Had the old t handle. They are great machines. Last I understood they are owned by Gehl now. Don’t quote me on that tho.
Great video dude.
Steel green manufacturing makes a snow plow that attaches to the front of their fertilizer spreader now you should check it out . Turns a summer rig into a year round machine like you were saying .
We’ve got one on our z spray and it’s a very productive sidewalk machine.
Very cool!
Thanks. Have a good day.
Thanks...so u recommend it?
Thanks...good to know
That hummer is also all sold out and is $120k+, and it wouldn't suit his needs. The Tesla will never be released anyways, so it's a moot point.
In Australia where this type of machine was created it is called a dingo and they are a great little machine with loads of different attachments from tranches, 4 way buckets, cement mixes, forklift, rippers, ect. Anyone can use them
Ive got the concrete grapple for it. Its a handy machine
Toro makes these also and they are called dingos. We have an older one that has tires but also have a set of tracks that go over the wheels. We took a plow from a grasshopper zero turn, made a bracket of it to attach to the skid steer style hook up and use that for sidewalks.
You should do a review on the new 2020 jcb 1CXT backhoe loader
Great video
Thanks for the visit
work for a hardscapes company and we mostly use the bobcat mt85 just because it can get in tight spots. i works pretty good
I've heard good things about those.
Holy crap! Those worky jerky quads are a bundle of loot!! I can't see that price not by a long shot.
What is the price on it ?
all those nice machines just sitting outside :(
@Chyna Mane Part of the reason the next thing I buy must be small enough to fit in the garage.
Love this machine The one we use here in NY our one has tracks We recommend that... cool video better
Thanks for the tip!
Solid.
Nice...keep checking things out...smart👍
I think the ditch witch or the Vermeer are great choices. What attachments that are available is something to definitely check as well.
Good piece of equipment. Let me know how that goes for u👍
I think the Titan is considered a 5/8 ton truck so its right between the 1/2 and 3/4. Other than that, I have not heard if they are decent trucks or if they tow well. I would see if TFL Truck has some info on them.
Smart...good idea
I have two regular Titans and thought about trying out the diesel. I have weighed out the rock qaury with the standard ones I have weighing 26 k total pounds. I pull equipment and dump trailers on a regular bases and really like my Titans. Only down fall is the gas ones have sucky fuel mileage but has the strength to do a lot more than your normal f150 or such. Plus DOT leaves us alone with our trucks, and yet we pull more than most them other bigger trucks.
Toro dingo same as that equipment but they also have one on tracks. The tracks actually make for a smoother ride
Its a handy little bugger.
I have 2014 Boxer 322D
Has the two drive levers , two outside levers boom and bucket.
No problem seeing the bucket edge.
Good stuff man just last year my boss got a new one ton and not even 8 hrs into the first day bam his daughter bf backed into it then the next day he let some girl drive it and she was pulling up to the pumps and those steel hoops that protect the pumps boom right into it she rode to the homeowners house with me lol not a good day
oh man- thats a bad first day!
Toro dingo has a 4 wheel very similar to that for the last 10 years
I have a kang 520 g with a 20 horse Honda pretty much made just like controllers you have on that it is awesome in snow moving mulch and other materials I built a larger bucket for snow removal
How much did that cost you?
@@Dirtmonkey I bought the whole package it was about 7 years old for 12000trailer pallet forks trencher rototiller four in one bucket auger with 9 12 + 36 bits l
what about rollover backwards? How stable does it feel? Skid-steers are known for that. In case of this machine if rollover happens, the operator will get squashes. Should have somekinda safety bar behind the machine? Thanks for posting
Yes, just what we need more safety nonsense. Maybe a ROPS structure, air bags, and knee pads for the operator too.
@@xenonram Y stop there? Perhaps remote control from you're living room couch?
Nice little tool
I think so too!
We have used similar ones work ok on flat ground any mud and your done. WNR.
All these new tires that come on new machines never seal correctly on the rim bead. Gotta pour slime or the like right off the bat. Not a huge deal, just remember this before you send it
I hope to buy my dad this one day
Love the video!! Looking to buy one 💪
You didn’t have to bleed it after it ran out because it’s a gas motor. I think you are used to diesel equipment where you need to do the fuel filter and get the air out of the system
Maybe so...better safe than sorry!?!
Ur going to town truck lol 😆 I had one of thoes till I blew my motor .... dont get an electric truck its seems wrong just wrong Stan ..... could u put a sweeper on that lil thing
Thanks...I'll think on that😉
2.7l or 3.5?
Man, I love it! I sure wish stand-on loaders were less expensive, pricewise along the lines of scut tractors. I'd would definitely get one then.
yes i love it too
nice i wont one
Hope you had a good Thanksgiving! Busy doing home improvement so I'm watching this a little too late.
Thank you! You too!
@@Dirtmonkey you mentioned wood chips, I got a 55 gallon drum filled with wood chips from my last chipping session. Currently getting "seasoned", gonna burn nice though.
Very small unit but it has its uses. Might work well for for mulch jobs. Add a wind shield and i bet that would do a great job on sidewalk snow jobs..
Great point!
