The Kubota broke my heart. I got the first one off the truck and it was so unstable. We could barely get it up on the trailer. It rocks back-and-forth like crazy. It was top-heavy. My cruise tilted over and we lost the motor. We have been driving Toros for almost 5 years, I thought we were gonna upgrade it was a disaster and I lost about $15,000 front and rear rollers almost 5/8 of an inch higher than the center rollers. They said made it easier to turn but it was like driving a bunking bronco Yep, we sold it at about 160 hours.
Two you didn't mention at all: Baumalight & Vermeer. You did mention Bobcat but didn't go into detail. Might have been worthwhile to acknowledge that NH has a machine (same as CiH).
@compactequipment I am in the process of purchasing my first compact track loader. Your videos have been very informative and awesome. Would love to see a video discussing the process of purchasing from a dealer. Seems like the manufacturers keep msrp hush hush on these machines and dealers list them at varying prices. Would love some insight on the buying process.
Do you have any videos or advice on attachments? I'm a landscaper and thinking about buying a machine at autcion. I don't know what specs I need like HP or hydraulic flow rates, etc. I'm new to equipment and need some guidance.
Totally ignoring the Barreto 825TKL, eh? Barreto has been making the 825 for a a few years now… I own a 2021 model year… they are made in Oregon, and the machines have some nice features… as examples: a Full Arm Height of 105.75 inches and a 7inch ground clearance… oh and an in house engineered track system that utilizes articulated track boogies
I bought mine on market place, It lasted a week. I replaced a a drive motor. now i need a hydraulic motor. The company that warranted the drive motor will not answer my calls for a hyd pump. Any idea where to purchase one? ND635 mini skid steer
I had a lemon they replaced, the replaced machine is a lemon. 400 hours drive motors tandem hyd pump, 3 mufflers, 3rd tracks at 600hrs., bogie wheel bearings constantly, Toro wont do anything for me! Junk, junk, junk @toro #TX1000
You might hav noticed, he spoke a lot about ground pressure. Well, the reason for that is that machines with lower ground pressure are easier on the ground. This is especially helpful when working on turf or in moist or soft ground. Wheeled units have SIGNIFICANTLY higher ground pressure!
Barely any pros are buying the Chinese versions. The reasons are: quality, warranty, longevity, serviceability, and parts availability. Those are generally worth the doubling in price.
@cornpop7805 Thanks. Fair enough. But I am a seventy five year old home owner. I bought a new, New Holland LS160 thirty years ago. It has less than five hundred hours on it. I use it to move firewood and hold logs for bucking. It is increasingly hard to get on and off of. I was looking for something easier that would allow me to hold logs for bucking, at waist height, without having to crawl under the raised booms, a real no no. My wife used to operate the skid steer for that, but she has health issues and can't do that anymore. I'll let you know it works after the mini skid gets here. Take care! Shalom/gw
@googleboy7 There are still brand-name mini track-steers. Dingo, BobCat, Case, etc, all have this type of machine. The problem with the off-shore (off-brand) ones is: they often have very low lifting capacity. The tracks often derail. Replacement tracks (and other parts) are difficult or impossible to source. As stated before the durability and longevity is completely unknown. The warranties are virtually useless because they want you to ship the whole unit back to them. eBay and AliExpress seem to intentionally offer different models within the same unit, each having a drastically different price, but the descriptions of those different models are exactly the same. Most times, the pictures don't match the product you would receive. Most times, they don't list the lifting capacity. When the do list the lifting capacity, it may or may not include the weight of the bucket. So, you never really know how much it will lift.

You missed the best one! The SCAG!
I had a Bobcat 371 in my Dodge Dakota.
What about ditchwitch sk1550
Would be nice if you write the weights and hights in metric too...
14:22 stump grinder abuse.
You forgot the first mini skid the kanga mini loader
You are wrong about the first mini skid steer. The first one on the market was the Little John by JLG industries.
Would have been nice if you would have thrown out some average prices 🤔
Is an 800lbs machine in the “cool” window?😅
Giant?

I bought one from China for less than half the price of domestic offerings.

Wondering your comments on the machine after usage? Thanks.
