Should play Evrima! Also, the Isle is set in modern times, so looking at vegetation for accuracy is kind of pointless. This is really fun, though!
I don't know If you know this but there are two versions of the isle the first version which you played is called legacy which isn't in development any more and another version called evrima which offers a wildly different experience and which I would recommend for the next the isle video. It's more popular, has more diverse creatures like Pteranodon and Dinosuchus, has a more interesting map and a spawn region selection so finding each other shouldn't be such a big problem. If you want to install evrima you need to right click the isle in steam go to properties then to betas and change the version from nothing to evrima public branch. Steam will then automatically change legacy to evrima. This sounds more complicated than it actually is.
If you actually consider playing evrima I have some tips too make it a more pleasant experience.
The game doesn't have night vision yet so you should wait until it's day to start.
You can only group up if you're the same species. You group up by standing close to each other and pressing 2 too friendly call.
To eat with the Pteranodon you either need to find a corpse or to fish. You fish by finding ripples in rivers and then flying close with slow speed over them repeatedly while holding the right mouse. Once you can grab a fish a text will appear telling you to release the mouse button. Now you have a fish.
As I said before, evrima is more popular and better than legacy so I personally would recommend it.

I'm quite happy that you guys gave this a shot. I should also point out that you guys should also check the "Evrima" branch of the isle. It's a rebuild of the entire game from scratch so incase if you guys still planning on doing The isle related videos please do give "evrima" a shot.
Seconding the request to play Evrima. I'll say though, you will absolutely be eaten quickly. My recommendation is to play as a pterosaur, as it allows you to fly and, if you can manage the control, land on trees that overlook high-activity sites like watering holes. This way you can see a bunch of different species mess around and get eaten.

Just incase no one has said it before- The Isle takes place in current day, with humans, where they've been biologically modified and brought back from the dead, and 'ideally' with the perfect modifications to survive. Not everything will be paleoaccurate in terms of looks, stats, etc, but its pretty neat c:

@@ajanshark The detail on a lot of the environment if that's what they were looking at it does. On top of that the diet system has made it so carnis hunt more herbivores while herbivores are able to move around and not sit in one spot.
I know this is a bit late, but I can't see any other Isle videos on the channel, and you should probably play Evrima! The Isle is definitely not supposed to be accurste, but it is realistic, with Evrima's movement, attacks, and even just its diet mechanic.
Please play the Evrima branch. It is the actual version of the game.
Also, theres about 2 big mechanics that you two didnt try or really use [one being obvious since you died as juvis] is nesting and scent! It helps alot with finding water, ribs, and tracking bleeding or overall footprints of things. It also has a built in compass so once you learn the map, you never really ever get lost. Vital for going to main hangout spots, migrations, etc
I like Isle a lot. Haven't played much lately, cause I play Path of Titans now like an addict. Finding your friends in big map is annoying in Isle but you can ask in global chat if there is eggs available. You can born in nest of other player and get raised in pack/herd. I love playing as mama diabloceratops and try to raise my kiddos to adult. I hope nesting will come to Path of Titans soon, cause i miss it. It is true that Isle itself dosen't give you much to do exept grow so you create your own adventure.
I like POT questing and aiming for the skin I want and decorations to home cave, so there is a lot to do. Recently found very good realism-community server where we just had albertaceratops mating season event. Bulls fighting for females and females taking care of babys. It was a lot of fun.
I actually hate night vision mode in games. Not because I think the animals shouldn't be able to see in the dark. But because animals don't just 'toggle' it on. Eyes adjust naturally and slowly to the dark. Night vision should be automatic.

If you guys care for the succes of your channel or these kind of video game videos. I wpuld highly suggest buying a better more capable computer so you an run games smoothly without it looking like a PowerPoint presentation or better recording software I can't tell what the issue is exactly but damn the frame rate is atrocious.
Yay! The isle one of in my opinion, a very addictive dinsasour based game also your if I remember right your on a island in modern times original for game hunters and yeah that didn't work out very well for the humans so no more humans now original I think you could play a human in the game but that got cut out and now just dinasours which I think is better if I wanted to play a dino game with humans I would play Ark also I like about the isle you use your hearing to find your prey and sight the scent thing kind of sucks for hunting I think unless it's another player your trying to get and it's fresh trail so there actively running from you
