Right?! I find that anthropology students tend to have an interest in history as well (or vise versa). This is how I am and I love talking with other people about this intersection :)
i literally just found ur channel and ur videos are greatt tysm for this information :))) im a senior in highschool and have applied to colleges as undecided social sciences and am trying to figure out what i wanna study. history and anthropology are def my top two choices currently. i also think im super interested in the history of science which i might consider minoring in ?? ur evolutionary medicine minor made me think of that, would they be connected in some way ?
Hello! First of all, that's so amazing! When I applied to college I was undeclared social science as well and had no idea what I wanted. Both anthropology and history are such great programs, you truly cannot go wrong. The history of science is fascinating WOW. I think within evolutionary medicine there are some components of that but it definitely leans more on the evolutionary biology side of things. I'm actually coming out with a video next week on my minor which could hopefully be helpful!
I am starting anthropology in a week, and I am on history too just in case lol So this is really useful for me because I was still hesitating on fully choosing anthropology (mainly bc I have to go another city for it, but for history I don't have to haha). I will watch your videos and subscribe! :)
I cannot believe I haven't made a video about this! Anthropology is the study of humans more broadly (it includes archaeology, biology, linguistics, and culture) while archaeology is the study of human history through excavation sites (and often studying material culture).
Oh I have been explaining the difference between anthro& history like 'History is history' And 'Anthro is history+biology&chemistry or science' 😂😂*cringe* Ik It sounds stupid but thanks to you now I can elaborate on that in the right way❤️
I love both. I actually got Into Anthropology because of my love for history.

I solved that dilemma. I earned degrees in both., but at different times. I love Archeology.
I love finding fellow anthropologists! Your videos are great!
That is so sweet, thank you!! And yes that's my favorite part about this channel-so many anthro students!
I kept going back and forth on this for a while, and decided on a History major with a minor in Anthropology😊 it’s a win win!
This is the perfect solution! Why choose when you could do both!

great video!! I'm an anthro major but I also love history, it's so important to our future if we learn from mistakes of the past
Completely agree with you-how can we ever move forward if we don't understand our past?

Wow, that is all so exciting! The two fields are both so amazing and I really don't think you can go wrong. Good luck and thank you!
Thanks👍 for your explanation.
Please what is the difference between anthropology and archeology?🤔

No not at all! In all fairness, there are a lot of differences I didn't even touch on! Just wanted to hit all the big things haha
The norse found america first, college hasn't caught up yet. But thats not new news. lol
Humans have not always existed throughout history - that is the difference.
