    I have done 6 water pump jobs. Never had to use silicone. The o ring works fine

      You are probably right! It’s one of those overkill things I do as a precaution. My turbo is water cooled as well so I’m not taking any chances.

    Sweet prelude! I use high tack permatex (part number 80062) with gaskets.

      Thanks brother. I will have to look into it. I will tell you what…I went to weld a new oil drain bung for my turbo in my cast aluminum oil pan…and whatever part number of permatex I used did the job because I can’t get it off lol…I was bending the cast tabs trying to get it off.

    How did you get the timing belt to line up? I'm referencing when you were showing us the three triangles at the bottom...

      Did you just turn the engine over till the triangles lined up?

    Are you running a balance delete kit or just have the belt removed

    • @thestateofreal2533
      @thestateofreal2533  2 роки тому

      Delete kit!

    • @violetandi
      @violetandi 2 роки тому

      OK thanks. I want to. But don't want to open the block up for all the plugs and what not. Debating on running the belt for now or not.

    • @thestateofreal2533
      @thestateofreal2533  2 роки тому +1

      Just cut the belt…it achieves the same thing really. You create high oil pressures with the delete kit as the oil galleys are plugged with the kit.

    What’s the best way to break loose the crank bolt?

    Hey I need some help I was wondering what your piston rod setup was on your F20b I can’t find any forged pistons and rods for stock block, I’m not opposed to getting some machine work done but was wondering if you could help steer me in a good direction

    • @greenelizah1
      @greenelizah1 2 роки тому

      Ks tuned sells forged rods and they have custom order pistons.

    • @thestateofreal2533
      @thestateofreal2533  Рік тому

      The other challenge with trying to find stock pistons is Honda 4 bangers and most other 4 cylinder engines suffer from out of round cylinders so trying to get the proper piston to wall clearance with a worn out stock bore motor is difficult unless you have custom diameter pistons. I bought a set of 85mm custom pistons from someone who had them made and searched for a low milage f20b block…even then my piston to wall clearance is .006-.0065 which would be classified as out of tolerance. I got around this for the most part using PC9 “ permanent” shirt coating.

      @thestateofreal2533  Рік тому

      Your best bet is get a set of 86mm pistons from Traum or get customs ones form KS tuned. Reid there is awesome and got me the first set of f20b rods when they came out.

      Oh for sure! Had her out this past week and weekend. I am working on suspension geometry as it’s all off and makes driving in a straight line with this power embarrassing lol. Picked up some corner balancing scales over the weekend…
