Hi I have a 4th gen 1995 prelude 2.2 vtec the h22a4 I believe, are the timing belt kits the same between 4th, 5th gen and accord type r's? As I'm struggling to find a timing belt kit for the 4th gen. Needs cambelt, tensioner balancing belt and water pump? Thanks
When installing the cams, make sure the key is pointing upwards. Once the cam gears are installed there will be an arrow on each one pointing up. There will be 2 timing marks on each cam gear. You want to line these up with the top of the head and make sure the gears are lined up with each other. It can be difficult to keep them in place because there will be some tension on the cam lobes. They do make a tool that holds the gears in place while installing the timing belt, but I was able to make it work without the tool.
Hello underneath the center cam cap is there just an o ring that goes in that circle groove or is there an actual oil restricter piston that is removable?
It can be a bit tricky to keep everything lined up. If everything is lined up right, it should slip on fairly easy. My belt was a bit tight from being so cold out, so ended up having to lightly pry on it with a plastic trim tool. Not the ideal way to do it, but it worked. Hope it works out for you buddy 🤙🏻
Glad I ran into this video 🤌🏼im new to the h series stuff and this really did help me a lot appreciate you 🤙🏼

What ecu and trans are you using
Currently running a chipped P28 by clubbed inc for the NA setup. will be running a Hondata S300 for the new engine with boost.
