If you want to see "scary", watch Folsom Prison Blues and watch Tim's expression on his last note. Another good video is Misty Mountains with Peter Hollens: featuring Tim Foust.
I find the difference between John Denver's version and Home Free's is that John's always seemed like a soul wanting to stop traveling...while Home Free's is homesick
If you ever attend one of their concerts, you'll find that Tim Foust (the guy you thought was scary) is usually the front man. He does most of the talking and is really warm and funny. And we all agree that it is wonderful to follow a band whose members are so generous and supportive of each other to the degree that they don't really have a lead singer...they take turns and let the song dictate who takes the lead. That makes them the ultimate musicians in my estimation.
Home Free Silly/goofy side vids = Butts medley, Country Fried Pop, Grandma got run over by a Reindeer, Cold hard cash (an original ) Champaign taste beer budget (an Original)
They sound even more brill when you listen with headphones !!........chaps, please !!!.....you'll be listening and saying "oh my days !!".....every few seconds !!
In my eyes, the Home Free version is better than the original. These guys are unique talents. I think it's great that there is no fixed lead singer, but that they can switch roles at any time.
I grew up listening to John Denver's songs. But I feel Home Free took this one to another level for me. It is one of my favorite covers of this song. I love everything about it. It is a masterpiece!
Love Homefree's version of this song, they have so many great songs. I would recommend their cover of Patsy Cline's Crazy, or Keith Urban's Blue Ain't your Color.
Grew up with John Denver, but I love Home Free's version. You do need headphones or ear buds to listen to them. I like that HF chose not to exactly mimic Denver's vocal key. It would have been too much of an imitation. HF honors the original artist in their covers while doing their own style
For a funny goofy Home Free original that Tim wrote react to Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget. Maybe not one of their best but you will never again think of Tim as scary.
There are times when Tim smiles widely he looks scarily maniacal. And you should know that Tim Foust and Austin Brown have "solo" videos with friends and family on instruments (piano, guitar) and one together (My Maria). Just wonderful!
So glad you are getting to know these dudes...they are awesome in concert too....you should here them with Castle on the Hill live in Dublin, Ireland...there is a video of it here on youtube...the audience gets into it too....and no copyright issues as it's a fan video...
The man with the beard and the glasses his name is Rob and if you want one showcasing his voice watch Boys 2 men End of the Road, Blue Aint Your Color!
What are you guys talking about? You saw Austin Brown lead in Man of Constant Sorrow and you heard him in Ring of Fire. He is the High Tenor and you should immediately react to When A Man :Loves A Woman with Ausrin as the lead. Do yourselves a favour and start your New Year right! Also please react to Auld Lang Syne. Cheers!
It's wonderful hearing some more new British Home Fries falling down the same rabbit hole I did earlier this year, looking forward to more. Can't wait for you to react to When A Man Loves A Woman. New Sub for more
Guys, I've really enjoyed your reactions to Home Free and look forward to many more. But to enhance your listening pleasure and get the full effect of their harmonies, you need to invest in some decent headphones. You don't know what you're missing!
New sub here! Loving your reactions to our boys. So glad I found you guys, so entertaining. If you think they sound good now, try putting on some headphones, you will be blown away!
Hi Guys , welcome to the rabbit hole. I would suggest you both get a set of really good headphones. You’re missing out on a lot of the sounds. Boys to men’s “ End of the Road “ is a good rendition. And “ Johnny Cash”. Folsom Prison Blues”. It’s fire 😊
Great reaction guys, ive been a fan of Home Free for many years. They are so talented, warm, funny and so pleasing to listen to. Check out their collaborations with Oak Ridge Boys(Elvira) and Kenny Rodgers(The Gambler(without k. Rodgers) and Children go where i send thee with The Legend Kenny Rodgers. Any one of the original or covers are fantastic!! Love these guys
Loved that you said it might be your favorite cover of that song. It took Home Free years to get the arrangement just right. They knew they were covering an iconic song so they wanted to do it right. I personally think it’s better than the original. I love it that much. They made it like a ballad. So beautiful. Excellent reaction boys.
More Hone Free please! You cannot pick a bad one. Try When a Man Loves a Woman but buckle in first. Also My Maria, Folsom Prison Blues and My Maria.❤️❤️
A terrific song by Home Free. I had always been a John Denver fan and take nothing away from his song. An amazing singer in his own right, Home Free just has a way with music that makes you like it as well. Thanks guys.
Since your name is Countryfied UK, check out their song Countryfried Pop Medley. Watch some Story Time woth Tim videos to see Tim's goofy side, or the live derailed videos.
they waited a LONG time before they recorded this song. they wanted to be able to do it justice and did they ever! these guys are amazing in concert. i try to see them every time they're within 300 miles of me😍
The red-haired tenor (Austin Brown) has an incredible voice. To hear an example, check out Home Free's version of When a Man Loves a Woman! He will knock your socks off!
Hey hello, just subbed! So happy you're on the Home Free journey with all of us. There are sooo many songs to choose from! I love this version so much from them. How they slowed it down and the first time I listened to them do it I was in tears at the end. I grew up with John Denver and loved the song, but never really got the words in the faster version. Not sure what you've reacted to yet, but some of my favorite older country ones they have done are Hillbilly B one, Hunter Hayes Medley, Alabama Medley, Wagon Wheel, Elvira (with Oakridge Boys) , Some Girls Do (super fun with baritone Chance leading). A super fun one Blue Ain't Your Color (Keith Urban cover) done in a doo-wop style! Love that! So many more! Take care!
I'm a huge John Denver fan and I think he would have loved this. Tim is the "scary" one with what I call a bottomless voice, Rob is the bearded one singing most of the lead on this, Austin is the red haired tenor, Chance is the baritone with the cap on backwards, and Adam is the beat boxer. Please listen to their cover of Johnny Cash's "Folsom Prison Blues".
If this doesn't give you goosebumps I don't know what will. I am addicted to the music of Home Free. Try Hillbilly Bone, Seven Bridges Road, so much great stuff. Happy listening!
Love your reactions and looking forward to more!! One of my favorites is their cover of One Man Band, hope you cover that one soon, also if you want to see the goofy side of Home free react to the cover Workin For A Livin. Also, I know you are tired of hearing this but you really should listen with either headset or earbuds, you are missing out on a lot!
Little know and even less cared for fact - this song was written originally with Johnny Cash in mind. Was later shown to John Denver by the husband & wife team who wrote it and he jumped on it. You hear the husband & wife doing the backup vocals on J.D.'s release of it.
Thank you for your reactions - I subscribed. Just before the pandemic hit they were on tour in Europe and were scheduled to come to the UK but had to fly home shortly before. I' ve seen them multiple times at different concerts in Europe, they've been here 6 times up until now. We hope they'll be back either 2022 or 2023.
Tim is the MC at all the live concerts, and is very "goofy". Check out his solo album, "Pieces of Me". Doo-wop from the 50s and 60s, and he does all the parts. It displays his incredible range.
They never disapoint on theire cover songs. They allways stay true to the original, but still put theire HF magic on to it, and make the songs theire own. I grew up with JD, my dad was an huge country music fan, but imo this was so much better. They made a cover off John Mayer's "In the blood", and like this one, they slowed it down a nudge, and ended with a better version. And yes, you could absolutly give recognizion to them, if you feel that they did an oustanding job, and improved any song they covered.
I hope you can get earbuds or headphones. You don't realize how much you are missing listening to HF without them. Chance (the one with the backwards hat) takes over bass when Tim does a solo or in some songs both of them hit you with the bass. This group is amazing and welcome to the rabbit hole Yes they pay so much attention to detail for the songs they do It also took them around 2 years for them to release this because they wanted everything to be perfect to pay homage to John Denver. Can you imagine what it would have been like if he were alive and could have collaborated with them. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Your smiles says it all!. Thank you for this. It took them 5 years to get it "just right" before they recorded it. This does bring down the house when they sing it at their concerts or as Tim calls them parties!
Welcome to the Rabbit hole boys! You will find that HomeFree is capable of covering just about any genre of music. Yes Tim is goofy as all get out but he does have a 5 octave range. The guy withthe glasses and beard is Rob Lundquist, crystal clear voice. Has great vocal powerful we don't see it quite as much as Austin Brown, the Beatbox is Adam Rupp...he is one of the most talented vocal percussionist out there...beyond talented! Finally the last member of HomeFree is Adam Chance, he goes by Chance to cut confusion. Very talented Baritone/Bass. He will sometimes fill in as bass for Tim Foust when the song calls for Tim to sing in other parts of his very broad vocal range.
So glad you have discovered Home Free! As many people have said, you can't go wrong with any of their songs, covers or originals. I'm aTim girl myself, but if you want to hear Austin (high tenor) sign, please react to "Crazy", "When A Man Loves A Woman", their latest cover "Unchained Melody" or Home Free's original song "Love Me Like That". If you love their harmonies, "Seven Bridges Road" and "Helplessly Hoping" are must-listen songs!
To get an idea of Tim's goofy side you need to listen to a song he wrote called "Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget" - what a fun song and video! And welcome to the Home Free family💖
You may get a kick out of this Home Free concert video: Tim Foust's Vibration May 1, 2016 It was posted by Dana Giffin. You'll see Adam point in Tim's direction and then point down.
Hi guys! Found you through other reactions and just love that you love music as much as I do. Thanks for making me smile daily! I’m April from South Carolina btw! Much love✌️💚😁
Loving your Home Free reactions, if you want to see them showing their goofy side try Butts Medley and also you really should check out the Drum Solo by Adam Rupp who is the beatboxer and co-founder of Home Free by the way. These guys are the best and I'm looking forward to watching you go on this Home Free journey!!
Glad to see a couple of new Home Fries from across the pond! Home Free's musical catalog covers a wide swath of different genres, and IMHO there is not a bad song in there. Consider the suggestion of headphones/earbuds seconded. You will discover so much more subtle complexity in their harmonies, and get a true sense of Tim's at least five-octave range. Subbed, and good luck with the channel!
For a real country sound you might want to watch Austin Brown's original "Earn It" and Home Free's "Moonshine". Home Free also has gospel songs with amazing harmonies "Mary Did You Know" for example and a collaboration with Peter Hollens of "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For". A don't miss is a video with Home Free and Texas Hill of "Dreamer" - it has instruments and it's sooo good.
Love that you two really appreciate their amazing talent. When you're ready, their latest release is called Dreamer, featuring Texas Hill. It's on tour. I love the audience reaction.
Love me some Homefree seen them live twice!! Wanna see another great cover from a guy thats in a acapella group? Check out Geoff Castellucci's version of Country Roads he does it really well too and does all of his own Harmony. He is the Bass in the Acapella group Voiceplay. They are my second favorite acapella group right behind Homefree!
Heard a bit of interview the other day and Tim said they are hoping to get to the UK in 2023 because in 2022 they are still finishing up the Dive Bar Saints tour which got postponed due to COVID.
Try HF’s country-fried medley. I think you’ll enjoy it!! The guys are extremely talented and sometimes just as funny! Austin Brown is the high tenor and has the lead in this one. If you want to hear one of my favs, try When a man loves a woman-Austin nails it! It was released on Valentine’s Day 2021.
I'm lovin' your Home Free reactions! These guys don't just sing a song....they upgrade and enhance it! Let the HF journey continue! Check out their cover of My Church! They were in the UK when Covid started and had to cut their tour short and get home before all flights were stopped....so you can bet they will be back!
I am so glad you guys found Home Free! I'm envious that you guys are starting on the journey and hearing their songs for the first time. They are amazing. Keep on reacting to HF and the home fries will go along for the ride.
The talent is in country music. Nashville is the hollywood of music. Its not new york, LA or london. The talent on the south in america comes from the churches and their hones. They grow up naturally learning music vs being pushed to learn it in school. They sing by age 6. Crazy talent.
This is an amazing song, so well done by HF. The story is that they worked on this song for at least 5 years to get it right before they put it out. This is a super group! They are talent, kindness and goofy all wrapped up in a nice package. I haven't seen anyone mention to you to save their song "Mayday" until you know the guys, their names, their usual ranges, their 'sound' before you do a reaction to Mayday. It's important, trust me. Great reaction, thank you, I just subbed for your Home Free Journey!!
Hint wear headphones so u can get the most of of these outstanding guys try MY CHURCH
If you want to see "scary", watch Folsom Prison Blues and watch Tim's expression on his last note. Another good video is Misty Mountains with Peter Hollens: featuring Tim Foust.
Tim will stare into your soul in Misty Mountains. And rattle your bones with the bass.
sigh. HEADPHONES. HEADPHONES HEADPHONES
I find the difference between John Denver's version and Home Free's is that John's always seemed like a soul wanting to stop traveling...while Home Free's is homesick
A distinction that makes all the difference.
If you ever attend one of their concerts, you'll find that Tim Foust (the guy you thought was scary) is usually the front man. He does most of the talking and is really warm and funny. That makes them the ultimate musicians in my estimation.
Tim could have been a good stand up comedian if he had chosen that path. He’s hilarious
Got to see them live back in 2019. Amazing.
Home Free Silly/goofy side vids = Butts medley, Country Fried Pop, Grandma got run over by a Reindeer, Cold hard cash (an original ) Champaign taste beer budget (an Original)

You should absolutely check out their "Folsom Prison Blues", "Hillbilly Bone", "When A Man Loves a Woman" and
"My Church"!
come on boys.....you know you can't officially become Home Fries until you learn all of their names.
Do champagne taste on beer budget! The bass singer wrote that one 🤣🤣♥️♥️♥️💋💋
Love Home Free! Welcome to the Home Fries!
Love Homefree's version of this song, they have so many great songs. I would recommend their cover of Patsy Cline's Crazy, or Keith Urban's Blue Ain't your Color.
You will like - Home Free - In the Blood, it will tug your emotions..........
Grew up with John Denver, but I love Home Free's version. You do need headphones or ear buds to listen to them. I like that HF chose not to exactly mimic Denver's vocal key. It would have been too much of an imitation. HF honors the original artist in their covers while doing their own style

Welcome to the Home Fries my fine Gentlemen! You have found one of the best rabbit holes in world. I felt the same way when I found them.

This was great! I'm so happy you're loving Home Free 🥰🤗
Guys, I've really enjoyed your reactions to Home Free and look forward to many more. But to enhance your listening pleasure and get the full effect of their harmonies, you need to invest in some decent headphones. You don't know what you're missing!
Home Free is additive but I wouldn't have it any other way. Loved your reaction
They slowed this down, added a little blues with gospel undertones, and magic happened. But then again….it’s Home Free
I have a nickname for Rob. That's Gospel/ R &B Rob!
@@kdmcollegebd2012 a perfect name!
All of them can sing a good lead, even the beatboxer sings and harmonizes when he's not beatboxing. I love all of their voices.
Peter Hollens and Tim Foust Misty Mountain, Tim Foust Can’t Help Falling in Love and Home Free Land of the Free, How Great Thou Art
They spent almost 2 years putting this arrangement together. And in the end, they freaking NAILED it.
New sub here! Loving your reactions to our boys. So glad I found you guys, so entertaining. If you think they sound good now, try putting on some headphones, you will be blown away!

Each man's voice is like, "Wow!". There are no stars.....unless you count our incredible beatboxer, Adam Rupp.....2-time World Champion.
These guys can actually sing the phonebook and sound phenomenal. Truly enjoyed watching your reactions to this song from them.
More Hone Free please! You cannot pick a bad one. Try When a Man Loves a Woman but buckle in first. Also My Maria, Folsom Prison Blues and My Maria.❤️❤️
You can find "My Maria" under Austin Brown's channel.

Hi again fellows the guy with the beard and glasses is Rob the man's voice is very sole full
Hey Guys, Check out 7 Bridges Road. It will blow your mind.
I believe John Denver is smiling. Home Free = amazing 🤩

One of their best. Countrified Home Fries
I love John Denver, grew up with him but will admit, Home Free guys upgraded it!
I hope you can get earbuds or headphones. You don't realize how much you are missing listening to HF without them. Chance (the one with the backwards hat) takes over bass when Tim does a solo or in some songs both of them hit you with the bass.
This group is amazing and welcome to the rabbit hole

Dreamer -original
Champaign Taste on A Beer Budget -original
Crazy - cover of Patsy Cline (written by Williw Nelson)
You really need head phones to listen to their songs. You would be so surprised the difference.
A brilliant cover. Love your reactions.
Another country song to check out is their cover of "Bless The Broken Road". Incredible.
To get an idea of Tim's goofy side you need to listen to a song he wrote called "Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget" - what a fun song and video!
And welcome to the Home Free family💖
Hahaha Tim is a sweetheart! Kind, super funny! And with a voice like that everyone has a crush on him! 😉😛

They’re not only talented but they have the funniest sense of humor!!, You need to listen to Tim’s original champagne taste on a beer budget”!!
Tim is definitely goofy! Love him! The whole group is just so talented!
Speaking of videos, I'd love you to react to one of their originals, Timeless. The video is absolutely amazing and fits the song so well.
For a real country sound you might want to watch Austin Brown's original "Earn It" and Home Free's "Moonshine". I’ve see John Denver live and met him in person. His voice is just so crystal clear. Rob (the bearded one) has a similar clarity.
Y'all are precious!!! ❤️ Scary, LOL! Goofy, absolutely, as are all of them! You've just started the journey and we're here for it, so buckle up! 😉
Agree on every single thing you said about this!
Butts Remix Medley that Home Free songs is so funny. If you haven't seen it you have to. You will laugh your Butts off.

The talent is in country music. Nashville is the hollywood of music. Its not new york, LA or london. The talent on the south in america comes from the churches and their hones. They grow up naturally learning music vs being pushed to learn it in school. They sing by age 6. Crazy talent.
They killed this harmonies just blown away and love yalls reactions
Im a dude, watchin dudes, watchin other dudes who sing awesome.
Happy 2022!
If you want to see Tim and the rest of the guys at their goofiest, try "All About the Bass".
