Home Free is seriously some of the most talented musicians out there. Between creativity and upgrading covers, arrangements, their one of a kind sound together and their incredible voices alone, they have literally changed the face of music for me and I'm 50 years old. They make me remember true talent is still out there, without gimmicks and publicity stunts. Just pure fantastic music and kind hearted people with a passion for the art of music. Thanks for another wonderful reaction.
I heard John Denver sing this at the London Palladium many years ago. It was a magical moment in my life that I have never forgotten. I didn’t believe anyone could come close to the emotion in John Denver’s voice, that night. But Home Free have done exactly that. I am so proud to be an Home Fry. Thank you for your heartfelt reaction.
I grew up listening to John Denver's songs. But I feel Home Free took this one to another level for me. It is one of my favorite covers of this song. I love everything about it.
I love the looks on reactors listening to Home Free sing this version of Take Me Home Country Roads. Lots of them tear up. I was a fan of John Denver back in the day but this version is amazing.
Fans have been asking them to cover this song for years, but they took their time and, boy, was it ever worth the wait!!! My first reaction was just like yours... blown away! Thank you for this!
I live in West Virginia and heard this song over a million times by a million different artists. John Denver is still my favorite, but these guys are really good.
Knowing John's heart and lucky enough to be able to see him several times in concert front row, he would have loved them and been proud of their rendition.
Your face says it all. Adam Rupp does play drums, and I've heard other drum playing reactors say that he puts in all the little extra percussion sounds that happen that only a drummer would notice and it all sounds like the real thing.
So nice to hear a fellow northerner morphing into a Home Fry! There are so many songs out there that they covered and made their own. The rabbit hole is deep and marvellous. This one isn't one I hear very often, so it's lovely to be able to listen to it and, like always with HF, hear all the new stuff they put into it. They are ridiculously talented and no matter what kind of song they're giving us - from the silly like the Butts Medley, to something like one of their most recent, 'Bless the Broken Road', they are always jaw-dropping.
This has been in my top 10 Home Free music list since I first discovered them a year ago. Their originals are amazing and their covers are almost always improvements!
So a lot of times when people film and want to look like they are in West Virginia, they fail miserably for those of us familiar with the area. In this video, I certainly don’t know they are in West Virginia filming, but it’s definitely believable and that makes me happy lol
As I understand it, Home Free worked on their arrangement of this song for like 3 years. Part of the issue probably was the transition from Chris Rupp leaving the group to Adam Chance joining it. They released it about a year after that change so .. yeah. Obviously it was a very complex song to do right. They did it right.
Hey brother hope your Saturday was a great one. I love this arrangement and they worked on it for more than 5 years until they thought it was where they wanted it to be. Rob carried this and he was the perfect one to do it. I loved that they turned a pop song into a bluesy ballad....and they have the talent to pull it off !!! All of them are so talented !! Definitely should check out their next to last, but not the one they dropped yesterday....I'm asking all the British reactors to not listen, they might get upset...however its a song I sang all of my childhood at school.
Great reaction! Home Free's talent is phenomenal. This song took me back to my childhood. Loved it then, but Home Free's version tugs at my hearts strings with their angelic voices and Rupp's percussion. Thank you for your reaction!
Apart from his amazing beatboxing, what I love most about Adam Rupp is his restraint. His beatboxes (is that a word?) are never overmuch, never for the sake of showing off (although he easily could). The sounds he uses are always just perfect for the song. You're right - he must have swallowed a sound effects machine as a child.
You also need to listen to On The Road Again, Elveria, The Gambler, and Flowers On The Wall. All done by Home Free. These boys can sing anything. They all are super talented.
Home Free takes a song and sprinkles it's magic on it, makes it their own and absolutely flippin' crushes it. Well done Home Free, yet again. There isn't a single crack in their armor. Each talent is stellar and you put them together they are unparalled.
I love them. I believe they are either angels, aliens, or magic because I don't know how they do what they do beatboxing, singing, humming, whistling, or what have you, as well as they do it, but it's always amazing.
Love their updated version, they put a little bit of soul in it!!! If you are looking for country music, check out their mashup Woman, Amen/ Female, Hillbilly Bone or Finally Free, all are great covers. Or check out an Austin original Good Ole Boy Good Time. Loved your reaction, new sub! Keep those Home Free songs coming!!
They’ve done a Great job of making it theirs 🥰‼️🔥. Pure “ear Candy” 🙃🥰‼️ You really would love one of their latest releases…”BLESS THE BROKEN ROAD”…a Rascal Flats cover🔥🥰‼️
Thank you for reacting to this one! It's my number one favorite! Yes, they are incredible! No one can top them! I love Everything about them! Would you please react to the latest release from yesterday "MY COUNTRY TIS OF THEE" and the latest release from their high tenor Austin Brown with the Eric Clapton classic " TEARS IN HEAVEN "? You really MUST check it out because it is SO VERY BEAUTIFUL! Also if you haven't yet would you please react to " BLESS THE BROKEN ROAD" Rascal Flats cover? It is a new release from Home Free from a few days ago. Thank you very much, I love your reactions because you are willing to show your emotions with us and that is what music is all about! Sharing the message of the song and what the music brings to the heart of the one that hears it! The connection between the artist and the listener, so I appreciate your transparency and authenticity! God Bless You and stay safe!❤️😃🍟
These 5 guys never disappoint.....they knocked this one right out of the park and the expressions on your face said it all! Thanks for a great reaction!
Home Free did such a wonderful cover of a classic John Denver song. I really think they did John justice with it. So amazing. If you would like...Good Ol' Boy Good Time...fun song...Feelin It...Friends In Low Places...up to you. Thanks for a terrific reaction.
This WV gal has loved this song since I was old enough to understand music. While I love John Denver, Home Frees version is my all time favorite. I have so much appreciation and respect for this group and their talent. They performed it live for the first time at their concert is Morgantown and the crowd went insane. So many people have a stereotype of WV that couldn’t be further from the truth. While the video was not filmed here, it definitely looks like it could be because that is how beautiful WV truly is 💙💛
Such a good song! Home Free worked on this for a few years knowing it’s a classic song they wanted to get the arrangement just right. I think they did it justice! Like you said they are so good. You should really listen to Helplessly Hoping to hear them sing without beatboxing. It’s so good, the harmonies are amazing. It’s not a country song but you’ll love it. You can watch Adam Rupp Drum Solo to see the beatboxer do a whole drum solo with his mouth. Also recommend One Man Band, My Country Tis of Thee and Bless the Broken Road to hear more great harmonies from them. Love your reaction!
First let me say, I am surprised to find so many Brits who are totally invested in basically Southern USA music. I enjoyed your reaction to Home Free doing American Pie, but that was an anthem that seemed to resonate, for some reason, with many people around the world. But John Denver singing about West Virginia? I had not idea Southern/Country music from USA was so widely loved. Your reaction was lovely. You obviously appreciate our Home Free boys. They are not only hugely talented each in their own right, and gifted at harmonics, but genuinely kind, sweet, and humble young men. So happy Brits love them. Great reaction.
Your beautiful reaction to this was almost as priceless as the song! 😊 Thank you! 👏 I'm not sure exactly what it is🤔, but Home Free has the "something" that none of the others have (in my opinion)!🤗
Loved your reaction to Home Free. I love them and now I know you do too! I have been listening to country music for over 60 years and I can give suggestions to songs that haven't been heard in a long time. Conway Twitty's " Don't Cry Joni", Jesse Colter's " I'm not Lisa", Tracy Lawrence singing "You find out who your friends are", just to name a couple. Thanks for a great reaction!🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂
I've seen many Home Free videos where the person reacting has the same look on their faces as you had, wondering how can this be real. How can Home Free touch someone soo deeply to invoke such emotions. I often wonder if they themselves are not immune to the same reactions of other artists.
Hi Sophie, thank you so much for subscribing to the channel! It means a great deal to me! 😊 I have plenty of HF recommendations to work through so keep an eye out for them! 👍🏻
Great reaction. I just subscribed, you reacted properly to Home Free.... Lol. They are awesome!!! Now you know you are a home fry now.... Eventually, like the rest of us. You will feel the need to seek out all the rest of their music. It's normal, don't worry , :) have a great day!!
Last Christmas Home Free did a collaboration with The Oak Ridge Boys (legends themselves) and Jeffrey East ... it is "Beautiful Star of Bethlehem". The groups harmonizing, and Austin's brief solo, was just wonderful. I think you would enjoy it! Thank you!
Nothing is more apparent as you being blown-away by these guys!!! And Rightfully so! ... I've been listening and following their stuff (nearly exclusively) for the last 6yrs ....... and they never EVER cease to amaze me. I even went and seen them LIVE ... nothing will ever top that Musically! that's for sure. It's an experience! This one is special for me -- John Denver's original you could say is "The" State Anthem for West Virginia! (it's my home! proudly at that)... what these guys have done with this; and I'll admit, I was a bit skeptical at 1st ---- is nothing short of absolutely AMAZING!!! I too am blown away by it.... Damn so good.
THESE FOLK CREATE SOUNDS NOT MERELY INCREDIBLE - BUT, BLEND LIKE MILKSHAKES ..... so sweet and so tight, right and so right in the middle of the note ALWAYS !!! None nearly as good. NONE ! Kudos to Darren Rusk - arrangements supreme ! jj
Thank you once again for a great reaction! I think you would really like this...Artists Of Then, Now & Forever - Forever Country...It is a beautiful collab with a lot of country artists, they do a mix up of Country Road(John Denver) On the Road Again(Willie Nelson) and I WIll Always Love You (Dolly Parton) The video is awesome and I think you will be surprised at how many you recognize now that you are taking this country music journey. I would love for you to react to it,but I also know you have a lot of requests,so if you want to just watch it,I know you will enjoy it, Happy Sunday to you! :)
One of my favorites there harmonies are just on piont if really like country gotta do HILLBILLY BONE and ELVIRA WITH ORIGINAL SINGERS THE OAK RIDGE BOYS both up beat and bad ass
Every time I here a new Home Free song I think it's my favorite... but I truly do think this is their best. Amazing cover... better than the original, if that is possible.
this is my favorite song for their harmonies. i was hoping they would do it in their concerts last year but they didn't.😪 i see them every time they're within 300miles of me, i'd see them more if i could

Well said!!! I totally agree! 😉😍
Agreed
Yes, very well said !!!
I'm sure John Denver was smiling down from heaven the day this was released into the universe.

Home Free doesn't do covers, they do upgrades! Thanks for your reactions
Not anyone better than Home Free!!
Home Free and Billy Gilman doing "One Voice" is a must!
I love the looks on reactors listening to Home Free sing this version of Take Me Home Country Roads.
Lots of them tear up. I was a fan of John Denver back in the day but this version is amazing.
Right!! I love the facial expressions and the jerk the headphones off & jumping outta chairs.. etc. Love it!! Love this one! 🥰
Fans have been asking them to cover this song for years, but they took their time and, boy, was it ever worth the wait!!!

John Denver would be proud
They can't find it in their hearts to do a bad cover. In fact I've come to like so many of them more than the originals. Great reaction.
Absolutely beautiful!!!
Definitely one of my favorites! I thought John Denver’s version was great, but this one was even better! Thanks for your great reaction!
They did a great job of honoring John in this version.
Wow is right. I've heard this 3 dozen times and I still get goosebumps every time.
Hey brother hope your Saturday was a great one. I love this arrangement and they worked on it for more than 5 years until they thought it was where they wanted it to be. I think John Denver would be honored that Home Free did such a beautiful cover of his song. As he was known to say, "Far out!"

Home Free takes us to church with this. It has a spiritual feel every time I hear it. Great reaction
Love your reactions. You should react to Home Free singing Cover me up. And watch till the end :)
They are the definition of ABSOLUTE TALENT. Just dive into all their music.
You also need to listen to On The Road Again, Elveria, The Gambler, and Flowers On The Wall. All done by Home Free. These boys can sing anything. They all are super talented.

They just make you feel good listening to them. Love them!
Starting with the 5 part harmonies and then Adam adding his beatboxing. This is an incredible song they made it another absolutely incredible
I like your reaction. Their music is like a warm blanket wrapped around you, and you just can't get enough. Thanks for sharing.
I love them. I believe they are either angels, aliens, or magic because I don't know how they do what they do beatboxing, singing, humming, whistling, or what have you, as well as they do it, but it's always amazing.
Maybe a little bit of each?? 😂😂
Above all, I believe it is the heart and soul they put in every song.

In high school , on the bus,in the 70s we would Acapella this song. My friends were amazing.
They’ve done a Great job of making it theirs 🥰‼️🔥. Pure “ear Candy” 🙃🥰‼️
You really would love one of their latest releases…”BLESS THE BROKEN ROAD”…a Rascal Flats cover🔥🥰‼️
These guys could sing the phonebook and make it sound beautiful. Truly enjoyed watching your reaction.
No other word but beautiful!!!! Brings a tear to my eye and a lump in my throat!!! Love it and LOVE HOME FREE!!!!
Loved your reaction to this great American country classic, by this amazing group of talented singers!
They do justice to this song which I LOVE ❤️… love Home Free and Pentatonix! A capella is done beautifully by both groups…. Love your reactions! 😊
Loved thanks so much 🙏🏻

Loved this rendition of the song. I wish you could do some more of Home Free. Thank you so much🎼🎶🦋🎵🎶
I’ve always been a fan of John Denver and I believe he is smiling and saying “far out” Home Free
Such a good reaction. It was beautiful
Beautiful reaction. I can see the tears in your eyes. Me, too. Incredible arrangement executed perfectly.
They are the absolutely best! They blow all others away.
Great rendition! John Denver wrote the "State Songs" for West Virginia and Colorado!
That’s what I say every time I hear them (Wow)
Home Free did such a wonderful cover of a classic John Denver song. I really think they did John justice with it. So amazing. If you would like...Good Ol' Boy Good Time...fun song...Feelin It...Friends In Low Places...up to you. Thanks for a terrific reaction.
These guys are so good. Five fantastically unique talents in one group, that's great. This is the best version I've ever heard. Love your reaction!

So amazing that they could make somebody who has (I think) never been anywhere near West Virginia tear up.
Good reaction.. I love home free

Home Free is always great and I miss John Denver
Their amazing 👏
this is my favorite song for their harmonies. i was hoping they would do it in their concerts last year but they didn't.😪 i see them every time they're within 300miles of me, i'd see them more if i could
Home Free is amazing. If you haven't reviewed their music video Hillbilly Bone, this may be the video they had the most fun making. It's almost impossible not to have a big grin and want to sing and dance along with them.
I've lived in wva all my life ..I love this song
I can’t believe but they just seem to get better & better❤️
I so enjoy your appreciation and awe of these guys, Taylor :~) This is one of theirs I had not experienced yet, thank you.
I love how they slowed it down just a bit and savored every lovely piece. This felt like pure love. I don't have a favorite among them, but when Chance came in with his verse my heart soared.
My favorite cover of this song.
I had never heard of Home free but your channel has made me a fan of theirs. I tried to introduce my mom to their music since she’s the main reason I listen to country music, but her comment was that sh’d rather listen to the original songs than covers.
Hey, you now have to check out America's traditional national anthem.. words written in 1831.
The Star Spangled Banner became our anthem a century later but.. Home Free's rendition of
My Country 'Tis of Thee
will shock you because .. you already know this song !! (I guarantee it !)
NOT a country song but you must find room for it on your channel :D
..
❤❤
Ty ty ty!!! One of my favorites. 😊😁
On you country music journey, you need to check out Country Now and Forever featuring current artists and ones from the past. It is a must see and won a CMT award!
"It doesn't get much better" but every single time, they get better! New Sub! Loved your reaction, your facial expressions were precious! Can't wait for more!

They do a lot more than country❤️
Another thing that won't disappoint and will absolutely thrill you is forever country it was a video made the ACM rewards some years ago but it is spectacular and beautiful and you will be shocked at the amount of country Legends that perform in it
there are 2 Adams in this group and 2 guys with beards, the one with the glasses is Rob

I just have to ask you man are you spreading the good news about country music over they're across the big pond? All music is pretty special it brings folks together but country music will always have a special place in my heart.. God bless you and yours and God bless the USA
Americans don't know another John Denver song is a hugely popular Sheffield United Football Club chant.
one of their covid cover was counting flower an orignal song from the Statler Brothers from the late 60 or early 70s
For a British guy your pretty cool
