Such a great Vlog. I grew up in South City and went to church and worked in SF. I’m hoping to visit while I’m out there! I really enjoyed this! Thank you!
I visited from the UK in September last yr. Heard all about the problems, spent 6 nights, but didn't deter me from having a great time. Absolutely loved San Francisco, definitely worth a visit. Good video Jay. My favourite excursion was the Red & White Ferry cruise Which takes u from Pier 39 I think, which last 90 mins to under Golden Gate Bridge, then past Alcatraz and onto the Oakland Bay Bridge and back
I love San Francisco so much! So many great memories there! It’s an amazing & beautiful city! Glad to see there’s more tourists in your video! I’d go back to San Francisco someday!❤️thank you for your vlog Jaycation!
I see what number you set the AC at 😂 brilliant video 👍 we love san francisco, heading there again next spring, so we're really excited for this series 🙌 thanks Jay 😁
Great video! Have not been out to SF in a while so cool to see everything. BTW that camera on the stick produces some cool shots as oppose to the standard gimble.
Nice weekend man! Sweet video, all the cool stuff. used to live there when I was a kid. I have not been to the "new" stadium, we were stuck at Candlestick, the worst neighborhood going into the wind swirl.
Thanks for showing us the beauty of San Francisco. Also great to see more of your family. I remember Full House with Comet and his girlfriend. Waymo. Was nervous for you and your Uncle but looks like it works. Love that you can sing and not annoy the driver. LOL Saw that Hornblower has the boats to Alcatraz. We toured San Diego Bay on Hornblower. Recommend the weekend champagne brunch tour. We love it. For a minute I thought you may bump into Bill and Lisa since they were in San Francisco about a month ago then you said you were at Alcatraz on friday Oct 13. This was last year!!!! 😲 Why did it take one year to post this? Inquiring minds want to know.😂😂😂
@@Jaycation Thanks for the correction/update. Bobblebunny also reminded me you did a livestream from SF back in Sept. I remember that. Yes, Sept 13 was a friday. That was the day I got really sick. That's how I knew it wasn't Oct 13, 2024 but Oct 13, 2023 was a friday. Had plans to go to a casino Sept 13 but had to cancel. Worked out. Went on the 23rd and won a handpay.
Hey Jay looking fresh. Thanks for the love from the last video. San Francisco looks nice. I hope u had fun spending time with ur uncle. Good video and keep up the good work. Your friend alita from Fayetteville nc
Alcatraz - recommend getting your tickets early, it can be sold out especially during the peak summer season. Pier 39 - recommend Fog Harbor restaurant, a classy place where you can have any of the iconic foods of the City. Painted Ladies - good move to take Waymo, since that location is a prime car break-in site. No cable car ride? It’s a must-do for a tourist, and the California Street line (close to the Financial District and goes along the outside of Chinatown) is less crowded than the popular Powell-Hyde or Powell-Mason line. Golden Gate Bridge? Walking it, 1.7 miles each way, is something I highly recommend.
Dude I was just there in July for the first time in 14 years and did pretty much the same things you did lol Food is fire .. the views!!! Nxt time hoping to catch a warrior game in the fall/winter
I was born and raised in San Francisco, grew up in the Russian Hill, North Beach, and Chinatown neiborhoods. My mom lives 3 blocks from Washington Square Park. I now live in South San Francisco. I like it because it’s close to San Francisco, close to the SF Airport and not far from San Jose😁
HI jay thanks for the videos coming over from Australia next year watching all your videos for tip what are you filming with for you UA-cam channel thanks darren
You know what's funny, Jay? The last time I was in San Francisco was also in 2016! I used to visit that city 2 or 3 times a year because I worked with a lot of start up companies in the area. But it's almost been a decade since I was the Bay area. I need to go back soon, I love the city!
@@Jaycation I typically stay in downtown area. I know things have changed so much since Covid, it will be interesting to see how the city is doing now. I plan to go back there later this year or next.
I watched Waymo drive around the city for a few years and it was so slow, driving behind it through Golden Gate Park so I was skeptical to try it. I've tried it twice now and it does feel pretty safe. Slightly pricier than Uber or Lyft but you also don't have to tip so it even's out.
@@Northeastbaseballnever believe the media and some of these UA-camrs who have this clickbait on how bad it is. No matter what city it is because it’s not true.
I live in the Bay Area and SF will always be a special place for me. It’s a vacation from home so I don’t care how bad the news is about it. City is actually doing its best!
My 2 favorite ball parks are Oracle and PetCo in that order. I noticed 2 Full house references in the first few minutes so I have to ask when you were younger who did you like, DJ or Kimmy?!?
I don’t know if it is government only but there will be an Autonomous Vehicle Proving Ground at the Millenia Smart Park in Chula Vista! Excited to see how Millenia Smart Park will evolve. Maybe Waymo will make its way to San Diego?
I love SF, no major problems going on (none that other major cities don't face anyway), that's just maga fantasies lol. I grew up in San Jose, aka "Silicon Valley", which is part of the San Francisco Bay Area; we touch the south shore of San Francisco Bay. I go up to SF often, as Caltrain or BART will get you there in about an hour. I never learned how to drive, since we have a great public transit system here in the Bay Area. These are the big things that I do on a regular basis when going up there: -Exploratorium (you were REALLY close to this! It's at Pier 15!) -California Academy of Sciences -SF Zoo -DeYoung Museum That's in addition to bowling and miniature golf, but neither of those are really unique to SF 🙂 The Flyer at Pier 39 is pretty cool, but it's not something that's going to feel new and unique after repeated visits...I'd definitely suggest trying it once though. 🙂
My issue with the Bay Area has always been its predatory affluence and NIMBYism. THAT’s the problem. But it is indeed beautiful. Hopefully the tech bros haven’t chased out all the good locals, and sanitized away all the culture.
Would love to visit San Francisco but I would never live there. Rent is way too high and homelessness is horrible. All the rent money these landlords make they should help the homeless. Sad!

Absolutely! San Francisco has so much to offer, from the iconic sights to the vibrant culture!
Very iconic city!
From SoCal I have visited San Francisco twice and loved it both times. Your video fires me up to go again
Amazing! Have an amazing time once again

Thanks! Still learning how to use the 360 but will keep trying to capture b roll with it
Thanks Jay for a nice tour :) You do a great job with your vids and variety... Keep up the great work
Thanks! I appreciate that!
Thank you Jaycation , what a great video of Alcatraz , Pier 39 and that driverless drive with Waymo 😮, loved this ❤ good to see SF doing well 👍
Nice weekend man! Sweet video, all the cool stuff. used to live there when I was a kid. I have not been to the "new" stadium, we were stuck at Candlestick, the worst neighborhood going into the wind swirl.
Thanks! I went to candlestick once in 2005. That place definitely was a dump lol
Your uncle is so sweet! So nice you got to spend time with him :)
Thanks! Uncle Rolly is the man!
I love this video. I lived in SF and this brought back memories.
Thank you for the San Francisco travel vlog!
I appreciate you watching!
Thanks for the tour Jaycation! I've been visiting SF for 20 years and hope to capture more walking tours for my own channel!
Nice! Enjoy the city!

I grew in SF all my life. Followed you all over the Philippines, SD, and HI. Awesome to see you visiting in the Bay. Have fun!! 🍻
Thanks for watching me throughout all the great cities ive visited. Love the bay!
Glad you were able to vlog around SF and not be messed with! (Always hear stories on the news). And daly city is my hometown! 🌫
It really wasnt bad. I think its cuz i know the areas to avoid lol
Just stay out of the tenderloin and Civic Center areas
Your unc reminds me of my titos! Laid back chill and down to sight see!
Uncle Rolly is da man!

Awesome! Thanks for always supporting!
My wife and I would stop off in SF before heading to Napa Valley. Great Italian restaurants and beautiful architecture. Nice vlog Jaycation.
Thanks! Never been to napa. On the bucket list
That was neat taking the Waymo ride. Now I want to try it.
Jeremiah! I never knew. How cool 😎
Brought back memories visiting SF…Coit tower, Alcatraz, Muir Woods and Sausalito ❤

South SF is great! Grew up staying there at my uncles place
Going next month gonna look for tacos and some good Lao food and Chinese food

Yessirrr!
No problem jay
all you ever see on the news is how bad it is , san Francisco looks beautiful
Like any large City, it has its issues.
Most residents are working hard to clean it up.

Wasnt so bad at all. Especially in the tourist areas
I left my ❤ in SF. I will be back soon…
Hey Jay! Off topic but have you checked out the new theme suite ☠️ at the Westgate? Looks cool, hope you stay there soon for a review!
Hopefully before the end of the year! ☠️💀

I’ve taken a lot of uber rides in my lifetime and met a ton of really nice drivers. Waymo is about to take all those jobs 😢
my hometown..
A great hometown!
I have been to Oracle, its beautiful but PNC park Pittsburgh is nicer
PNC gets #4 in my book. I passed by in the dead of winter 🤣
Go to the wharf and go into the left hander store
Lol wait for it… 🤣
I'm a lefty too
Southpaws!
❤❤❤
Compared to Oakland, San Fran not so bad lol.
Id like to see it though lol
Don't forget the Ghirardelli factory too
In my food video thats coming
Wondering how the Tenderloin district is doing these days?
Avoided it like the plague lol

Do they have haunted tours there?
Alcatraz does night tours dont know if its a ghost tour
Daly City
Daly city in the house!
No visit to Chinatown wth 🤷♂️
itll be in my food video coming soon
be safe!!!! I have lived in SF for more than 20 years and Eastbay 20 years. NOTHING special
Where do u live now?

the city of San Francisco is dead not that many tourist visit San Francisco anymore
Hey man. You’re in my neck of the woods. I’m up in Sonoma County. Much better vibes up here. SF has gotten pretty bad.
