First, welcome to the Bay Area. I’ve been here for over 35 years and have always known about the hidden gems here. I ride my bike from Oakland to Sausalito and back twice weekly-56 miles round trip. This place never fails to amaze me! Also, check out the beautiful homes in the Oakland Hills with panoramic views of the bay and San Francisco - I know because that’s where I live. The bay is vibrate and diverse (not only culturally but by race and geography). Sonoma is another hidden gem along with Napa. And finally, dude you are just three hours drive from Lake Tahoe where there is some of the best snow skiing in the world. Now, if you want to get fit and see the Bay Area by bike....hit me back as there is a large contingent of cyclist here. Happy you are here - proud Oakland resident.
There's A LOT of hidden gems in California, but visitors are always so focused on LA/Hollywood that they totally miss out on what Cali really has to offer. With that said, Sausalito is amazing. Great video!
Don't come in the summer it's cold and windy AF, Late August to October we get really nice and warm weather. Thanks for always putting us on some good ish!
Thinking of a four day event there during the first weekend in August. Does the weather begin to at least lean towards the warmer side by then? Thanks!
I have a gf that went to school in LA. I sent her this video and she suggested we go in December. She couldn't see my face but must have known what I was thinking because she said the same thing 😂😂
It’s so true. The first time I went to San Francisco I cried. although I’d lived in 4 states already and had traveled around the world, it was one of the best places I’ve ever been. The sights and atmosphere. Sausalito was like Paradise. So clean, quiet, and peaceful. I didn’t understand how I could leave. It’s just one of those places that you go to and just never look back. A whole new world.
Careful in the rush to monetize everything. Teaming with cities compromises objectivity. Audience could potentially lose faith in the credibility of the videos if they perceive it as shilling
I made it to Sausalito this year in October because of you... I went to some of the places you mentioned... Jim at Hanson said, "Hello." My husband and I had the best time looking at the art work there... We enjoyed Fish restaurant and took the ferry to San Francisco for the bus tour... This video is awesome!!! Thank you so much...❤
I thoroughly enjoyed this video. Having raised our kids in Sausalito, we wanted to see this captured all the stuff the locals love as well. Check, check, and CHECK. Casa Madrona and Cafe DiVino, for example. Vina del Mar Park is another. Of course, any way you can get on the water, go for it-and they did. But my fave: driving through the Marin Headlands and hanging in Kirby Cove. PERFECTION. The view, the solitude, nature....Well done!
I love this! We had our wedding reception in Sausalito so I can vouch for how nice it is. And black people living well and exploring, love to see it. Plus he shows how important/helpful it is to talk with people and network. Get to know the restaurant owners, get to know the captain of the boat, get to know the bartender or owner. These relationships will help you down the line and if you ever have friends or family looking for something to do, you’ll be the ultimate plug. Aside from that, hella funny how half of the video was this dude stunting though lol.
Lol fully melanin? Some of y’all delusional. It’s 2021 and no one uses the one drop rule anymore. They are always biracial/mixed with loose curly hair if we are being honest. Anyway, great content!
@Antonio Stewart First, let’s look at this without emotion go my guy. “Lighter to darker hues of melanated people”. What causes that? The level of melanin. Which therefore means the darkest of people with that substance have the fullest levels of it as opposed to the lightest peoples with that substance. Simple my dude. Take care!
As a life long Marin resident, it’s amazing to see this place I’ve grown up visiting all the time in a tourism light. Even though you can become blasé about some of the beautiful aspects of SF, Sausalito never fails to be stunning no matter how many times you’ve seen her before.
Aren't we the luckiest? When I first moved to the bay area in 1985, I lived on a sailboat in Sausalito! What a fantastic experience. Sometimes like a faithful dog, he would walk with me down the dock. Not many cats like that, he was extraordinary! He was constantly licking himself to get rid of the enormous amount of hair on his body. He would barf hair balls so much that I started to help him by removing enormous amounts of hair from him, first brushing which was useless and finally pulling it out. He would come by and remind me of his hair removal appointment every other day. I would remove his hair outside on the upper deck of the houseboat, there was so much hair to remove that when I got it off of him and tossed it into the air, it would stick on my neighbors houseboats across the channel on the dock across from me, and it was accumulating so much on those other house boats that I had to try something else before it was discovered by angry houseboat owners. Wow bro!! My wife and I discovered Sausalito a few years ago almost by accident when we went across the Golden Gate. Sausalito was amazing. We wanted to stay in one of those fabulous houseboats. So glad you are spreading the word about this wonderful place.
Found your page and glad I did. One of the best videos. I worked in San Francisco most of my life but Sausalito was my favorite place to shop and dine. My goal in life was always to purchase a house in Sausalito. 10 years ago it was not affordable and now I would need millions. Very pricy but the privacy, views and security is on point. You will stand out if you know what I mean. You can walk and get everything you need within one mile. And if its not happening go across the bay. It always had been an older crowd for all the events. Crime is really low- if any. A very tight knit community. Streets are real narrow. Parking is an headache if you drive due to most of the streets are for residence only. If you like the finer things-this is a place for you.
no u cant. those places are more rough around the edges, but as a person raised in marin who lived in sf and oakland and now has been in nyc for 10 years, i would rather live in oakland for sure. i lived in sausalito for 5 years, it is a nice place but quiet
Didn't think Sausalito was a hidden gem, I assumed it was fairly well known, but I lived in the Bay for two years and it really is a piece of heaven on Earth.
Sausalito & the Marin Headlands, Mill Valley and Muir Woods Forest - these are places I love visiting when in California for work. I come a long way (Melbourne, Australia) to visit these places too. :) Life-changing experience, and look forward to visiting again - when we can travel safely. Oh, Oakland is beautiful too. I love the bay. :)
Sausalito is much closer to San Francisco than Oakland. It’s a half hour from Berkeley driving fast with no traffic. I would say that Sausalito is at least 45 minutes away from Oakland. I used to commute.
My children and I lived in tiny Sausalito, for two and a half years. It's the first city that you'll enter, as soon as, you cross the Golden Gate Bridge (going north, of course) into Marin County. It's aiight...lol. Although, extremely scenic topography with top-notch weather...mostly hype, like most touristy places. ...sadly, like most of northern California (including San Francisco), Sausalito is VERY segregated in a nineteen-sixties way.
High Value and Busy men get and know what they want but they're ready, Can some of you men take ladies on trips or walks or meals like this fng shame if not or Somethings wrong with her
Wow, I was born in Oakland and never even knew about this place. We definitely need more black creators with beautiful content like this. Excellent video.
Just came back from Sausalito CA and this place is amazing! Weather was great, a tad cool but coming from Florida it was a nice change of pace (no humidity). The views were spectacular, and Casa Madrona is worth every penny. Big thanks to the hotel staff for making us feel at home. Pics won't do this place justice, definitely a "must do" if you are ever in the bay area. Kudos on this video this really encapsulate the Sausalito vibe....
It's so funny this video came out right before my husband and I travel to San Francisco in two weeks with no itinerary. Just purchased the guide. Thanks!
I have only visited California a few times and loved every moment !! As a content creator I will have to put this place on the list and go back to explore✈🌎
I visited there briefly once, while on a bus tour of San Francisco. Near the GG bridge, the weather was not pleasant: chilly and windy. Going over the bridge in the open-air bus on the way to Sausalito was not much better. But when we arrived in Sausalito, the weather changed in an instant. It was warm and comfortable, and everyone was walking around in shorts and t-shirts. California's microclimates are ming-boggling. This town will definitely be one of my first stops on my next Bay Area visit.
Love this video, really well done! I actually live in the Bay area and love Sausalito. I used to take my macaw there with me and took pictures of tourists with her for free. The reason the best weather is in October is because when it's really hot inland during the summer, it draws the fog into the bay so it's really cold and windy. Go 10 miles inland and it's 90 degrees while Sausalito is in the 50's!
For those who live in the Bay Area and like to explore is not a "hidden" place but indeed is a "gem", the whole coast of North California and Washington state are gems!!! Nice video!
Man! The photography/videography (and editing) in this video - especially the intro is amazing! I can't even imagine the number of hours that went into it. Excellent content as well.
Great video. I love the production. Y'all DID THAT!!! I'm a Bay Area native born and raised. I've only been to Sausalito once that I recall...maybe my parents took me when I was younger. The host is 100% correct in stating Sausalito has its own vibe. Thanks for sharing this beautiful city and exposing me to places I didn't know as well as the affordability of sailing and renting a yacht. I'll be sure to visit Sausalito very soon -- especially the restaurants.
I’ve been hanging out in Sausalito since the 70’s. It’s gotten more interesting over the years. Great video. I’d like to share another hidden gem----Point Richmond A Neighborhood in Richmond, California--Point Richmond, sometimes referred to locally as The Point, is a neighborhood in Richmond, California, United States, near the eastern end of the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge, between Interstate 580 and the San Francisco Bay. Sausalito is known for its wonderful views of San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge as well as for its historic Richardson Bay houseboat community, which was built after WWII by artists and other free spirits. The city hosts the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' functioning hydraulic model of the Bay Area
hey, my man... I have watched you for 4 years and you always take it to the next level !!!! never imagined they have places like this in the USA. Thanks for this video and the inspiration and the quality.... ready to take my wife there soon!!!

This was a gorgeous video, I'm from the bay, born and raised in Oakland, now residing in Houston TX, I knew about Sausalito but had never been there, it is beautiful, I can see myself retiring there if I win the lottery, lol, must visit when I come home to visit.
Spent many days in Sausalito. It is a unique place. Capitola is another cool little spot down in the Santa Cruz area. Thanks for the light. Keep up the videos…
My wife and I go there about once a month to cool off from the heat inland. It is really one of the most beautiful places we have been to. I’m looking forward to watching more of your videos my good sir!
I'm from The Bay. I always went to visit as a child. I have absolutely loved this place all of my life. Going home soon. I'm going back to visit again.

Yeeeeeeeee
#707 ya dig
@@lahbody7047 what's some dope MUST DO's in Oakland. I will be there May 19. I want to spend some time there before I head to napa.
Didn't think Sausalito was a hidden gem, I assumed it was fairly well known, but I lived in the Bay for two years and it really is a piece of heaven on Earth.
I went to school in Sausalito in the 1970's when it was a "hippie town!"
St Kilda?
@@AbNormalFuad Different feel to St. Kilda
Bay Area, California is a whole vibe.
2 minutes in and I must say this quality and content is A1. Well done. Love to see it
Sausalito is much closer to San Francisco than Oakland. It’s a half hour from Berkeley driving fast with no traffic. I would say that Sausalito is at least 45 minutes away from Oakland. I used to commute.
Visuals are amazing! Good editing bro! From England, UK
I've been waiting for a Sausalito video like this for about 10 years! Thank you for coming thru! Just subscribed -
The places are beautiful and this guy know how to put the outfit together! Should do a episode on what you wear and brands!
I'm from SF, live in Oakland and never really been to Sausalito like that! But this was extremely inviting! I might visit over there! LOL Love it!
u better know about it
That boy Jabril got a type.....curly & fit lol
Nothin wrong with that 😜
High Value and Busy men get and know what they want but they're ready, Can some of you men take ladies on trips or walks or meals like this fng shame if not or Somethings wrong with her
Oh, that’s in California? Ain’t no budgeting there. Y’all better have $10,000 on standby to check this one out y’all. 😂🤞🏾
There’s a lot of affordable activities you can do in Sausalito that don’t involve spending “LA” kind of money 🤣🙌🏾
@@PassportHeavy Ahh, say less then. We'll make it happen then. Great video. Thanks much. 🙏🏾
It’s cheap if you find deals and already live in CA on an average tech salary.
@@PassportHeavy True.. Moving back
@@lordjael yeah Cali is full of things to do where you do really have to have any money at all. So lovely
I had NO IDEA this even existed! I got 10-15 minutes into the video thinking you were in Italy.
It’s a must!
Born and raised in Oakland and I've never been to Sausalito, this will definitely be on my to go list. Dope video!
Enjoy my guy *Jubril
Whaaa???
Thank you Jacky for that amazing explanation. *Jubril
Truly a gem. Both energetically and physically that place feels clean and purifying.
Larry June rap about this place
came here just to see if he was mentioned. ...thats who put me on to Sausalito
🍊🍊🍊
must do numbers 🍊
Aye aye aye aye
Touched down at Sausalito, took the “chick” for calamari ! 🍊🍊
For those who live in the Bay Area and like to explore is not a "hidden" place but indeed is a "gem", the whole coast of North California and Washington state are gems!!! Nice video!
this is actually what i liked about Istanbul it reminds me of San Francisco/Sausalito/Tiburon areas
Love Sausalito - was here last year!
Fun fact Tupacs mother was living in Sausalito when she died.
Yes on a house boat ❤️
He was going to high school in Marin City -Tam High
How's it a "fun" fact?
@@AmarMTV it's an expression. For when most people don't know something you enlighten them with a fun fact.
Oh wow didn't know that
I grew up in Tiburon yes it’s the most beautiful place in the US - Marin County Baby ❤️
Awesome!
Well done y'all! As a lifelong bay resident you've inspired me to explore Sausalito more!
Really appreciate you taking the time to stop by and leave a comment. Especially as lifelong bay resident that means a lot.
I’ve been hanging out in Sausalito since the 70’s. It’s gotten more interesting over the years. Great video.
I’d like to share another hidden gem----Point Richmond

It probably people who don't like america
Right!?! I always think that. Haters gonna hate, tho.
What is wrong with people? Why on earth will you dislike this video? I love this video and how you narrate your experience is flawless. Great video 👍
I learned along time you can’t make everyone happy. When you have 99% happy you can’t focus on the 1% that will dislike you regardless.
It’s funny tho they get most attention tho.
We really appreciate you. *Jubril
Love those driving sunset shots especially. Music , editing, camera work, aerials-on point. Awesome video-Thanks.
We appreciate that for real.
I was smiling the whole time you were describing places you'd been!!! Your energy is infectious!!
Appreciate that *Jubril
Man your videos look better than network shows. Keep representing my brotha. Its nice to see us ballin like that.

I am so blessed to have been able to grow up in the midst of this beautiful place. I used to actually work at the Casa Madrona. Let me know if you need any voice overs for your channel.
How is the weather there in early August, has it started to warm up by then?
@@terrynutall6529 Yes it is usually really nice but the fog does come in and bring that natural air conditioning.
@@speakvisionspeak Thank you. What would you say are the best months to visit to get the most out of a stay there?
This was a gorgeous video, I'm from the bay, born and raised in Oakland, now residing in Houston TX, I knew about Sausalito but had never been there, it is beautiful, I can see myself retiring there if I win the lottery, lol, must visit when I come home to visit.
You offer a different perspective on your travels. Keep up the good work! Oh yeah and the lovely ladies in the video.
Spent many days in Sausalito. It is a unique place. Capitola is another cool little spot down in the Santa Cruz area. Thanks for the light. Keep up the videos…
Thank you for showing us this beautiful place. Keep it up
My wife and I go there about once a month to cool off from the heat inland. It is really one of the most beautiful places we have been to. I’m looking forward to watching more of your videos my good sir!
You really know the spots to go. Keep enjoying.
Sausalito is awesome! Been there a few times.
As a young boy, I grew up in the Bay area. A town called Dublin. I lived there from 1968 to 1976. I had no idea that Sausalito was this cool.
As a SF Native, its always nice to take the Bay Ferry from SF, to Sausalito on a day trip to visit one of their many restaurants for lunch also.
I'm from The Bay. I always went to visit as a child. I have absolutely loved this place all of my life. Going home soon. I'm going back to visit again.
Just put this place on my “MUST VISIT “ list, heck may even be the honeymoon spot next year 👍🏾😉
It’s truly worth it, one of the most beautiful cities in the Bay Area. Honeymoon there would be outstanding.
This video was everything. I didn't get to finish watching yesterday because I was at work. Came back and finished. The production is perfect. The scenery, the music, the food, the whole ambiance. Hats off to you and the team. I LOVE CALIFORNIA!
I loveeeeee this video I’m going out to Cali this summer and I’m trying everything on this video
