Thank you! I'm finally getting this crazy thing put back together, I'll have some videos of the carnage and the process of repairing it coming before too long, as well as the upgrades I'm doing while the engine is out of the hull.
Easy way to drop speed for newer riders, or if you just don't like going fast is to get a learner key programmed. If you're looking to eliminate the extra maintenance of the supercharger as well, then it is theoretically possible to delete the supercharger, either by removing the PTO housing and replacing with a 155 housing that doesn't have the hole for the SC, or pulling the charger and removing the gear, washers and everything so the impeller doesn't get spun by the crankshaft. Doing that will dramatically drop the top speed and performance down to around 40-45mph top speed, I'm unsure what effects there would be in the long term, I've had customers with superchargers that blew up, or the boot got blown off and they rode for years that way with no real side effects that I'm aware of. You may need to change the impeller to get the rpm back up to match the performance of what a normal 155hp non-sc ski would do.
P0107 is a fault with the MAP sensor, I'd pull it out and check it out, could be some water in the plug or possibly even on the sensor itself. There was issues with some of the intercoolers corroding through and letting water into the intake if the ski was run in saltwater and not flushed
Yikes. Those shavings don't look good and George is wagging that cat tail which is NOT good. Look forward to more episodes on this my brother. Thanks to the both of you.
You've picked up on George's mechanical senses. He keeps bugging me to pull the engine out and take a peek at how bad it looks inside, either that or he wants attention, sometimes it's hard to tell :)
