It should be possible, however I haven't try it yet..maybe in my next video i will test this out. Just need to make sure air dont get sucked in and break the siphon.

Then siphon works just fine and restarts automatically. My air tube level is just as you said, just above the water level. Is it a problem. If so please Help. Thanks in advance.

Yes, your understanding is correct. So the siphon have to be either slightly higher or at the same level where the water will stop based on the position of the inner pipe in the overfloe chamber

the air tube is used to break the siphon. its to allow air to go inside the overflow thus breaking the siphon. the air tube has to be slightly higher at the position where you want ur water to stop. this is where the inner tube position is inside the overflow.
If you were to make both sides front and back the same way as you had built the first chamber over flow it'll look even better. Even tho the other way with the tubes side by side is simpler. It'll Make it look even more streamline... also it'll show where the water line levels out to
The only disadvantage I can see is that you can't clean it as everything is glued together. Hope there are parts where the assembly can be disassembled.

pipa pakai 20mm sebab tak cukup ruang untuk 25 mm pipa masuk kedalam pipa 32mm. kalau kamu tengok balik video saya, saya ada pakai satu socket connector saiz 20mm. ukuran pipa yang saya pakai mempunyai diameter yang sama..dimana bila saya cakap saiz 25mm, ukuran diameter dia betul2 saiz 25mm.

This are 25mm exact size pipes. The transparent pipe is 50mm. Which inlet? When power stops, the water will stop until the determine height. You can check out the "trailer" video to see how it works!

Boleh je..yg penting kena tengok pump yg digunakan. Flow rate pump kena rendah daripada overflow. Klu flowrate tinggi (lebih daripada 4000, mungkin kena up kan size pvc pipe. Saiz lagi besar, flowrate lagi tinggi
If you look at my video again, my 20mm pipe is connected to a half-cut 20mm straight connector. The outer diameter of the 20mm straight connector is smaller than 25mm so you will need to use epoxy glue/hot clue to make it leak proof. Hope this piece of information is useful for you. And note that the piping that I used are having the exact size, when i say the pipe is a 20mm pipe, the outer diameter of the pipe is exactly 20mm when measure with a caliper.

Awesome idea! Simple design but effective. I just wanted to ask if I can attach a surface skimmer into this system?
It should be possible, however I haven't try it yet..maybe in my next video i will test this out.
Just need to make sure air dont get sucked in and break the siphon.

Means ur pump is having slower rate. U need to slow down ur overflow flow rate. When this overflow is functioning properly, it is quiet as a mouse!

I want to build simplied version. How do you set the water height? With air tube position or the overflow position?
Overflow position. The air tube position is to break the siphon oven. The height where the water will stop depends on the overflow.
