I love this guys constant suggestions to keep an armory in the dodge journey... This space might even be big enough for a grenade.. This hideaway compartment can also easily house your enemy's souls. Check under your back seats for a blood... I mean water-tight compartment for human hearts.. er ... sodas.
lol right
I have a 2016 Dodge Journey (red too) and I LOVE all the storage compartments. I have two kids so I keep some wipes and other stuff for them in there. I didn't know about the integrated booster seat. I'm not sure if mine has that or if I just never noticed. Definitely going to check. And the storage compartment in the back is awesome too. I keep a small air compressor, jumper cables, and some other basic repair tools in there for emergencies.
My mom has 2016 Dodge Journey. Its very comfortable, with lots of versatile storage space. My favorite features are the illuminated cup holders, puddle lamps on the front doors for night vision and in floor storage bins that can also be coolers for drinks. It has zero problems so far.
I just bought a 2016 Dodge Journey RT on 12-31-22 and I love it!
@@lawrencegrace9302 What are your impressions after a year of use?
Thumbs up for your two firearms references. I'm looking to purchase a newer Journey, but liked your video.
I'm not a Dodge fan, but those are thoughtful features for sure.
great video!! I just picked up a 16 RT and because of the dealer incentives AND the square styling , I took a look/drive and thought this is a great American product. we will see how she holds up in the future ( my town and country has 110,00 no issues). 2000 miles later, I am impressed. I have read some articles saying this car was not refined.. in the RT trim and suspension tuning + 19s( although they are skinny prob for fuel econ) - more than capable . comfy and as friends would say" wtf kinda car is this? this is nice!" lol. but the best part...hehehe, is this video...room for some carryon arms, lol. no seriously, I have a young child and until now did NOT know about the booster seats... I went outside to check and walla!! thanks guys, u have a new subscriber
Me either and you can bet at lunch time I'm gonna go out and check my booster seats lol
I know it’s an old post but this 2016 journey does it have the drl option enabled and working?
He didn't mention the cool flashlight that's hidden in the back when you open the hatch!
Which hatch lol
@@carla41188 ummm le car I only has one hatch. The rear LOL
Yes I was going to mention that also on my left hand side of the rear just inside the door.
Thanks for sharing!
I bought the journey rt 2016 going over small rough roads, the under side seems to rattle, the suspension seems loose or something, some people tell me this is common on these rides,is this so?
Where can I go (UA-cam) to see why is my camera not working? Also, why I have some loose cables and I have no idea where they connect to? I just purchased a 2016 Dodge Journey R/T. Thank you.
had a 2010 and loved it dependable engines but I like the new interior of the dash and touch screen radio that mine didn't have
Just got my journey crossroad and it seems pretty legit so far it has almost everything except the heated seats but it's not really a big deal since those parts of the seat are not leather.
I got the 4 cylinder model. The 4 cylinder engine is mated to a 4-speed transmission (the V6 is mated to a 6-speed). Acceleration seems non-existent when you have the air conditioner turned on. With the AC off-acceleration is lively or dull-depending on the car's mood at the time. I installed a K&N replacement air filter and it does make an improvement for this. Gas mileage could be better for a CUV (I'm averaging about 19 mpg in the city). All in all-it's not a bad vehicle, it's a little out-dated (it hasn't received any changes since 2012) but it does have sharp styling and it's starting price seems better than a lot of other makes and models in its class. Oh yeah-the spark plugs have to be changed every 30,000 miles for the 4 cylinder engine-100,000 miles for the V6. But the plugs are easy to change yourself on the 4 cylinder-a lot of disassembly for the V6. The Durango is nice-but bigger and much more expensive. It depends on what you like and your budget.
Does anybody know where is the handle or button to open the gas door? Thanks!
Mine doesn't have locking and it's a 2016.
I have a 2014. I'm really sad it doesn't have a hard surface on the back of the passenger seat. Never needed to check until now, but that seat doesn't flip forward :( Goes to about 90 degrees and stops. It also doesn't have the passenger seat storage, which I never knew about, but it sure would have been useful ! I absolutely love everything else about the Dodge Journey.
Now I know where to store my hand guns and riffles, just hope you can give us some ideas where best to store grenades and homemade bombs.
"Headshot!..." Best comment of 2016!
I'm a little late to this party, but what's wrong if a hunter were to buy this vehicle? It's a good tip!
Also, changing the battery in the vehicle appears to be kind-of a nightmare-check out a couple videos here on UA-cam. But my father's 1998 Oldsmobile Silhouette minivan has that same issue-so it's not just a Dodge thing.
I spent an hour and a half changing mine last time it went out...quite the adventure 😒
can you make some videos on the 2017 model
Joshua Crow t
Can you use a question mark?
Damn I got a 2017 and I don’t have heated seats haha . Bustt
How do you fold the 3rd row down
Pull down on the straps behind them
I FILL ALL OF MY FLOOR COMPARTMENT HOLES WITH KILOS OF COKE AND FENTANYL. SSSHHHHH!!!!!! IF I GET CAUGHT I'M GONNA KNOW IT WAS YOU.
Unfortunately, half of the features mentioned here aren't standard equipment. I have a 2015 SXT model that I bought last year and it doesn't have the fold-down passenger seat with the storage bin under the cushion. It doesn't have the built-in booster seat, it doesn't have the large entertainment touch screen or the heated seats. It doesn't even have an overhead console to keep your sunglasses safe. I like the styling of it but I do wish I'd picked something else with more standard equipment. But affordability is usually the biggest issue.
+Gregory Guza Did you get the 4 or 6 cylinder? We are in the market for one and are looking into the Journey vs. the Durango. How is it on gas and power when driving? Thanks
If your still looking, do not get the 4 cylinder. That comes with a 4 speed automatic... You may save at the pump but the lack of power and gears if just stupid. Go for the Pentestar V6 with the 6 speed. Gets you 20+ combined MPG. But there are missing features that just aren't even on the Journey including cooled front seats, panoramic sunroof, heated rear seats, power liftgate, and also no lane departure warning and forward collision alert. The Journey is expected to be "redesigned" in late 2017 so hopefully that gets it to be a little better..... So, if you need a roomy 3rd row seat, good towing capabilities, more features, and also the HEMI V8, go for the Durango. If you need value and versatility in a small package, but don't want a hefty price tag, go for the Journey.
Evan Landry We ended up with a 2015 Durango SXT V6. It had a few added packages that made it really nice. Enough for what we need and we love it. THe v6 Pentastar has plenty of power and is good on gas. We ended up test driving a brand new Journey and besides smelling like something was burning and having the check engine light one (yes, it had 11 miles on it), we found it was a bit smaller than we thought. Test drove a Durango and it was a no brainer. I would recommend the Durango over of the Journey any day.
Good!
how do i open the damn seat storage i lost my wallet in their
does the 2nd row seats stow flat?? thx
Yes they lay flat, but you have to move the front seats forward because of the 2nd row seats headrests. That or just take them off.
so is it like the stow and go seat???
kenny play no, they do not fold flat to the floor like stow n go
The back space, perfect for an AT-4 or .50 cal, including tripod.
You mean "Road Sodas?"
What about the "chill zone" do they offer that anymore?
I wish the new journey had the front seat compartment and flat folding seat but it is not
Very practical vehicle
Am I the only one who fell out laughing at maybe even a concealed handgun?
Which model of the Journey is this? I wonder...
Looks like a crossroad
When you have plenty of storage for second transmission as a spare
My 2003 Ford Explorer needed that which I traded in for my 2016 Dodge Journey.
mines a 2016 ..doesnt have that touch screen.. mines smaller.. has all storage areas though... its kinda to plain for me.. i might actually get a diff car
Kassandra Byrd so does my mother her's black
You look like the hunter in Harry and the Hendersons
My 2012 Journey has almost all of these options 🤷♀️
GT is gangsta, other models blow. Blacktop package too 👌
nothing “gansta” about any journey
Literally the 2009 dodge journey can do almost EVERYTHING 😂😂😂
Umm.... ok good for the 2009 as well? He’s not reviewing a 2009. Not sure what’s so 😂😂😂
Well I have a 2018.. no bluetooth !..why ?
Strange. My 2018 has bluetooth.
I got the 2019 also no Bluetooth🙁 4 inches screen 🙁basic trim but, 6 cyl. Got it 3 wks ago 30 miles only, got it for $18.6k. from $22k. 2 1/2 yrs left on Factory warranty. Thank God I got Bless🙂
Why does this have more features run the durango
some of the stuff is missing on the 2019 and 2020 models witch sucks and I was not told till after I bought it. some things missing are child booster seat in secand row, compartment under passanger seat front, door open all the way, 3rd row floor mates , front passanger and driver tinted windows, cargo cover, cargo floor matt and engine cover. all items that have ben removed. I have my self not looked yet but I beleve the spark plugs for the car are no longer good plugs they downgraded them from lifetime iridium to some cheaper 10000 mile plug. it actuley states right in the book and papers thay give you as well as online when you log in that you need to replace the plugs at 10000 miles however I was told buy the dealer that this is the required maintence for the warranty of the car and that if you come in before the car sys 10000 miles they would replace the plugs and do a oil change free of charge.
2009 dodge journey can do everything except 2 things
Savannah Quintero and, what 2 things can't it do: outrun an Infiniti & suck me off? lmao, j/k
😂😂🤣dyinggg
I cant get my passenger seat to pull up and get to that storage
I have a 2018 and it doesn't have that feature either.
i can’t get my seat latch open
You built like a boxer
You’re built like a boxer
NO! Do not buy a dodge journey! Never again! I hate mine! Cheap and non stop problems!
I have a 2016 journey and it dont have 80% of the stuff in the video... load of crap
I wouldn’t drive another Dodge Journey if it was given to me for free! Such a piece of shit!
Taylor Manning wow how so cause I am considering buying one
It's a great vehicle especially crossroads...$33k, Bought for $22k....new! Hahahaha...even has $600 tri coat paint, 3.6 ltr v6 pentastar engine, those fancy 19" black chrome wheels, and even the electric sunroof option! Winning....they were giving them away! Only 10k Miles and it's a 2016!
