Since 2008, Dodge has had quite the difficult time with their Journey crossover and only recently shown signs of bigger gains in sales in North America. For 2017, the company has made revisions here and there, along with some new cosmetic additions as options. But are there still some good things to like about it, despite it's rather negative history? I've compiled at least 5 things I like about the Journey, to see if I can shed some light on its good side. - Авто та транспорт
We just bought our 2019 Dodge Journey GT AWD V6 and we love it. The kids enjoy the rear entertainment system and the second row easily slides to allow access to the third. Third row is small, but good for the two little ones. V6 provides a lot of power (it's no Bugatti though). Love the large U connect Touchscreen, very easy to use. Leather is very comfortable. Great car, also compliments my 2014 Avenger nicely.

02/27/20 I bought one crossroad,AWD, it is amazing comfort, economy, engine power, interior space, stability, my 2019 journey's engine is impressive 2 levas tree per head is good, you can feel !!

Biggie Cheese no it’s because I actually have taste in cars and want something that’s faster than a lawnmower. Last month when I went to Florida, I got a 2019 Dodge Journey GT FWD as my rental. It came with the upgraded 6 speed auto and 6 cylinder engine, but it was so slow I honestly thought they had given me the 4 cylinder at first. Look at any decent review of the Dodge Journey, absolutely NO ONE likes this American hunk of crap. The journey is one of the worst cars on sale today, and that’s probably why car and driver rates it 2 out of 5. On the other hand, if my car was such a waste of money, why is it that the only ratings I see for it are 4.5 out of 5 and above? Also, just because I can afford something nice unlike you doesn’t mean it’s a waste of money.
Dylan 81 something I can’t afford?🤣 you know your poor when you flex a 40 thousand dollar car. And the reason it has good reviews it’s bc the only people who drive bmws are old white people who know nothing about cars. And if you have a “taste for cars” then why is your x5 stock😭😭

@@mattX5 Buying a BMW is only bragging rights to your friends who don't know that BMW means "Broken Mechanic Wanted" that's why you can pick them up used cheap. BMW lose value faster than any car on the market for this reason they are a nightmare to own (I've owned 3). My friend owns a BMW dealership and he doesn't recommended owning. If you need to drive a BMW just lease it either way your losing a ton of money.
I have the same colour on my Dodge Journey sxt and love it mine is a 2014 and still running strong with 49.000k ya in Canada we are in kilometres!! 👍

The crossroad trim is my favorite but I agree this design isn’t going to look horrid in 15 years when your kid is driving it to college.

Had the 2012 se and just upgraded to the '18 crossroad. Holy moly !! We loved the old one but the new is soooo nice :)

What do you think about the ride quality from a backseat perspective , I have a 2017 crossroad plus and it's seems to be little bumpy and shakey
To be honest, the 3rd seat in the Journey is best suited for children - no much room back there.

We have had a new 2017 Dodge Journey GT for about a month now. Agree with your likes about the Journey. So far it has given us ZERO problems and we love its ride and practicality.

Will keep you posted. So now ~ 3 months and 5000 miles later our Journey has proven to have perfect initial build quality. We are very pleased with the vehicle so far.

Have 12 journey crew n love it especially the hidden compartments n the Built in booster seats n i called my journey crew strawberry shortcake cause its red like a strawberry n my has the v6 n doesn't have the third row

@@texasrangerwalker8945 no I don't have it anymore I traded it for a smaller suv n the dodge was excellent for uber and lyft n when I started to do doordash n grubhub I had to fill it every 3rd day

The tinted headlights are part of the blacktop package I know cause I have a 2015 blacktop

Can you really call a car junk if you've never owned it? I don't seem like it's fair to the people that's never owned it maybe if a family member owns it and they're complaining about it then maybe yeah you got something to say but like if no one in your family or a friend or something that you've never been in this car or had it you can't really call it junk

Love my 2018 dodge Journey crossroad but the transmission went and 21,000 miles thankfully it was under warranty.

@@Lion_Reylol yea it's a dodge they're not known for strong transmissions. I have an 18 se with the 2.4L4 it's great on gas for a midsized suv I can get around 400g to one tank.

I think that this is a vehicle that has being underappreciated..a tweak here and there by the manufacturer may change the negativity about it particularly in Nigeria here where Toyota products dominate the market, which frankly is annoying to me....... I do love the Dodge and encourage the manufacturers to consider the African market with some modifications and also price rebates

HeyItsLogan yes get a dodge don't listen to them my friends mom had a 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee and it had 400,000 miles on it and she got it with 67,000 on it. Chrysler makes great cars

I had jeep Cherokee 2015 end up trading for the Dodge Journey GT 2018 I must say what a piece of crap, made of the cheapest materials available in the market. Got the car brand new the first week out of the dealership the engine light came on, the radio does locks very often, it won’t turn on or off, the uconnect future doesn’t link with my phone all the time. Lost almost 50% of is value 4 months later. Worse car ever, I’ll never buy another Dodge car.
Next time, LEASE, or buy a late model that was GENTLY used with a FULL pro mechanic`s check. Folks either love `em or hate the Journey; maybe it comes down to what day that particular vehicle was made !

I have a 2014 R/T AWD and a 2015 4 cyl. FWD. No problems at all, just takes a few extra seconds to pass in the 4 banger, but still OK.
Got myself a 2011 Crew Édition with 187,000+ Kms on it. 80% highway, brakes have been changed 3 times only. Suspension is flaky and cracks even with links changed twice. Climate (2 zone) failed this last winter and couldn’t warm up the cabin, this has been the biggest concern and problematic since purchase. Highway ride is nice and quiet only buy the best rubber money can buy for summer and winter tires. Engine is quiet smooth even after all these years, doing 8.6L/100Km on highway on our trips fully loaded so it is better than I expected. Have used only synthetic oil from the beginning.
Also. Transmission slips when cold. FCA has “tried” to fix this but they are clueless of why. So on a cold morning you’ll press the gas and engine will rev but it won’t move then it kicks in. Highway passing or green light acceleration: WOW, got plenty of poneys under the hood to burn some rubber or to pass any car at “legal” speeds.

Justin Johnson agreed. What a waste of a car. Slow and boring even with the V6. My brother has a 2017 journey GT V6 AWD and he absolutely hates it. Slow, boring, cheap, crappy and pathetic car. I hope to god they stop making it.
