Very nice video with great advice. To all the people in the comment section “waiting until the right time to start” my advice is just to force through the uncomfortable-ness and film your first video. You will NEVER feel ready. I have been a creator on UA-cam as a hobby for about 5 years and in the beginning I realized I was using “having all the right equipment” as a crutch to not do what I know needed to be done. It was a safe way for me to procrastinate and not feel uncomfortable. The best lessons I have learned is through making videos, re-watching them and trying to get better at each video! You got this! Post your first video!
Awesome advice and I love the way you put it❤️. I always like to remind myself : done is better than perfect. Progress over perfection. Thanks for sharing🙏
Thank you for this video! I’m in the initial stages of creating a podcast/UA-cam channel. I noticed I have been getting paralysis of just starting and researching all the gear options and things to learn. Thanks again and now a subscriber.
Nice video. I think many UA-cam creator advice channels push gear purchases-in order to generate income. Of course, most people are not trained in photography, and are not aware that a cell phone camera works for most people-if basic lighting/stability/framing needs are met (apologies to the camera folks out there). But in the age of A.I., there will be increasing desire for authenticity (such as by story telling). A.I. is a huge online competitor now. Some YT channels publish 100 A.I. videos each day, and is limiting channel views of real people. However, the information quality is marginal from A.I. videos.
A very insightful perspective you have shared here. And I agree. Especially with what you said about AI and people wanting authenticity 🙌. Thanks for sharing this

It's true mate. Story telling is a real skill and prior planning really helps. that's the way I'm enjoying doing it. Not just having a rigid script. I do go off script and say things that come to mind in the moment. I just now like to have a structure of what I want to achieve. I think the storytelling is also an ongoing skill we learn. Like you say, it';s not about perfection. Maybe just pick a thing or two you want to implement in each video. Don't get overwhelmed by it. I think it's all about the journey anyway. The community tab upgrades will be game changing I think, for connecting and forming communities around our channels. God bless :o)
You are so right. Sometimes I need to remind myself to just chill and flow and not expect to get everything perfect at the first try. So I like what you said about picking a thing or two to work on per time. Thanks for dropping in mate!
The story is hard. Buying new kit is easy....hence. I now have the best kit and struggling where as before I switched the camera on and thought 100% on the story. The idea is to do gear gym, in Cairo now shooting every day and working out how the new kit works until I return to where I was - just thinking of the story. Only it will look a lot better this time around. You need both to be the best, you need it all. So having a good kit does help a lot, but story is what makes people watch, not the f1.2 focus shot. Even if it does look, really good. Both.... is the goal.

that is me sir !! thanks for sharing that. I have all "professionnal" guears , but I'm stucked. No prod, nothing.
I'm happy the video resonated with you. Together we can try to improve and learn and be more.
I could not helped but to subscribed. I am super new to UA-cam content creating. Started my channel but 2 weeks later I have not uploaded a video because I want the perfect video. Every time I watch my already recorded video, I think if my friends see it they will laugh at it, but I am now more confident to upload it. Thanks for sharing your views.
Oh for sure you have to suppress that aim for perfection. There is this quote that helped me when I restarted my channel: "Done is better than perfect!". Once you can get past the fear of what others think, you will be truly free to tell stories. Thanks for subscribing. I appreciate it
You just earn my sub with this one brother. By this time next year you will have Thousands of subs trust me. I know how to spot greatness. keep this same energy please. Wish you all the best. Love from The Netherlands
