bro, you're so open, and brave. you put it all out there. so inspiring. the DRVN 30 is the coolest thing you did in my opinion because you brougtht the "show" to the audience. you made everyone participate, I know I benefited a lot from it.
something I experienced in my life and seen in others close to me, is whatever we chase the more further it moves away and the more neutral you are towards stuff (like what Michael singer teaches in the surrender experiment ) it just happens.....
I literally feel this same way with my current income the past few years. I’ve felt stuck between 5-10k for the past 2 years and just had a hard time getting out of debt, I’d pay off a big chunk , then stuff would come up or the next few months would be a lot lower. I also had a couple team members but now I’m just working solo and so my average is lower but it just feels like I’m stuck in this loop. Thanks for sharing this !
Leon, thanks for this amazing podcast, the value is just insane! 1 great book explaining the "thermostat thing" is " Release your brakes" by Jim Newman, where it exposes what your limiting beliefs are and how to overcome them. The dilemma you are facing "should I do this" has to do more with the "I don't want to be seen as a guru" and less with the fact that probably you should do it because that is how you give value to people you want to serve. I mean people already said it themselves: charge us 50$/month NOW! How do you go about what do you want to achieve in your life (aka what is your "passion")? I found the video you made on the passion thing very valuable and watched it probably 10+ times. However I still haven't managed to narrow down my options. For ex. I really want to become a DJ (used to DJ at home as a student) BUT also want to create my own drinks company (think something like casamigos tequila) and MANY more VERY compeling alternatives. So the question becomes: How do you identify what you pursue and stay focused to ONLY that thing for a LONG period of time? (I'm an ENFP). Sorry for the long comment, I wish you achieve your 100K/month in Nov 2024!
Hey Leon, could you put the titles of the various books and sources you talked about in your videos in the description? I'm working on a big speech about potential, and these books/sources would be super helpful for relaying my point
I have a hard time setting goals because I struggle to believe that I am capable of/deserving of achieving them, and that I will lose what I already do have in the process of chasing more or better, and end up worse off. Despite years of therapy, I don't know how to succeed, or feel like I'm succeeding - even though people tell me that I am doing well given my circumstances (traumatic brain injury with lasting side effects including visual and severe ADD symptoms), I don't understand what they see. The worst part is that I know I am stuck because of limiting self-beliefs and escape mechanisms, and the comfort of having just enough to scrape by, even if it requires plasma donations. I don’t know how to commit to a path because I don't know how to choose one, and the fear of choosing the wrong one while having no safety net is terrifying. There is also a (cognitive dissonance) belief deep down that I am capable of more, but I don't know how to tap and direct that. What advice would you give to someone in that kind of "stuck"?
I remember watching your main channel when you were brand new with just 250 views... I wish you didn't delete the funny sketches that you made, in particular the Sam Ovens sales script skit, was so funny hahah
6:10 "Now, if you know what you're worth, then go out and get what you're worth, but you gotta be willing to take the hits and not pointing fingers, saying you aren't where you want to be because him or her or anybody! Cowards do that, and that ain't you!"
Hey DRVN , really nice video ! I was wondering if I could help you with more Quality Editing in your videos and also make a highly engaging Thumbnail and also help you with the overall youtube strategy and growth ! Pls let me know what do you think ?
Hey Leon, i gotta push the dislike button for this video and let me explain you why. From the high motivated kid that was the same level as me, now i heard a guy “complaining” about his financial situation where as your clients TOLD YOU sou can charge them more and you denied that…wtf? Why would anybody do that? Either make money and be happy or dont make money and cry about it in videos like this. The way to make money IS RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU! You say you enjoy comunity, great, then bring more value to the community and charge more. It is as easy as that. So anyways good luck for the next video, i wanna see a progress, thats why I watch.
