    Totally disagree regarding Tony Robbins he's known to be a scammer with his money making schemes under the guise of empowering people just like all the people he associates himself with and he is by far not the best speaker, people who follow him are the kinds who usually go for stuff like Amway and multi-level marketing schemes.

    Hey Leon, You would benefit from checking David Heinemeier Hansson (DHH) and Jason Fried. Especially the book Rework. They are masters of how to bootstrap business with a long-term mindset. When you mention over-hiring, it rang my bell :) as it is chapter in their book.

    To make your main channel grow faster, I think it would be helpful to - in your head - categorize your videos into 2 types: Your regular videos (i.e. the "perfect" ones, which are the ones you naturally gravitate to) and low-effort ones. Then, you can set yourself a ratio, such as:"After every 1 regular video, I will publish 3 low-effort ones". And the low-effort videos should ideally be created in a batch, not one after each-other. I think that, what you'll likely find, is that some of those low-effort ones will outperform regular ones, and the higher upload rate will lead to a faster overall growth. I've used this exact strategy on the first business that I've built and sold, which was a blog, and the top-performing post of the blog was exactly such a low-effort one, so, go figure...

    Loved the Podcast. By the way, I don't know if it's just me but it seems like there is some annoying "iiiiiii"/"eeee" sound in the background. I tried listening to other videos and on those it seems to be ok. Hope this feedback helps, maybe it's something in the background or it's just me, who knows. Thanks for this podcast!

    You may need this comment because quitting drinking cold turkey can be fatal. Its not dangerous if you are just a normal drinker but if you are physically addicted to alcohol then quitting cold turkey can be potentially fatal. I know because I tried this and it was a very scary and dark period of my life. Sending you guys love. Great podcast episode x ❤

    i think balance is healthier in long term, but to get really good in something you need to be obsessed with something and push the boundaries for a specific amount of time (till you burn out lol)

      I think there can be balance in many ways. For example pushing through a project for half a month from start to finish and then taking some time off. When it comes to people (for example some managers I know) they often times work „project based“ :)

    I want to build a group but I have no idea how. Like I guess I need somehow to find people in my city, but how to do it?? I have discord chat where we help each other with youtube but it's so hard to imagine why we would hop on the call. We even live in totally different parts of the world. Any advice?

    This was fun to listen to! Super interesting conversations! Not sure of my purpose yet lol!

  • @maxeyy2
    @maxeyy2 11 місяців тому

    I'm not quite certain what my purpose is yet, but what I'm doing atm with uploading these UA-cam videos for people to watch is making me so so happy. I've always made videos about showing something I'm doing. Like when I was a kid, I made videos about kendama, trampoline edits, Photoshop speed art, motorbike stunts, and now it's making beats. I'm so happy that what I'm doing is also like actually working, and people are seeing my stuff because for so long I was trying so hard but getting nowhere. Atm I'm doing all this for myself, and I'm selfishly posting these videos. I think I'm not sure though because I get a lot of comments from people saying that these videos are helping them. They are getting inspired to make beats and are learning from these, but I'm not really thinking about that (I think) when I'm posting these videos. I'm just excited to share stuff, I guess, and I also love that people are excited to watch them too, but yeah. I do feel like I should be thinking about others with these videos, and I do think about others when I'm making beats now as well. Like I see myself as a guinea pig to try new ways to make beats, etc., and then I showcase that to others who might have not ever thought about making beats in that way. But I also don't want to make these beats and videos with others in mind because I'm doing this because I want to do this, and I don't have to do this. Either way what im doing atm is making me excited to get out of the bed and work everyday so I'll keep doing this and I trust that I will eventually figure this all out.

    For whatever my opinion is worth, I feel like your videos are the best because you document things in a way that makes it obvious that you practice what you preach, and the fact that they’re fun to watch just made me binge on them for 5 hours straight. Your content is addictive. However, there might be a way that you could decrease the “editing quality/perfectionism” to reduce costs OR sell info products to keep the quality standards to stop bleeding money. It might just be that monetizing thru products is something that you haven’t prioritized. Your content is absof****lutely awesome. I’m not worried for you either as you’re extremely resourceful. It’s obvious that you enjoy making those videos, so please don’t stop them because this is defo one great way you get joy. ❤

    Good watch, thanks for this episode! Very relatable as well. Both of you have different approach to your careers as everyone has to develop their own workflow and a way to deal with distractions. There is no golden rule, but listening to others may really help. The only thing that was missing from this podcast was both of you randomly speaking german at the end just for giggles, otherwise good job!
