SONY EV-S7000 HI8 VCR - The king of the Hi8 decks!

This is an awesome machine, it's like the most sophisticated consumer VCR. There really are a lot of circuits. The hi speed rewind is extremely fast, there is no camcorder that rewinds near that fast.

Wow! That's a very hi-end machine! I have an EV-C200 Hi8 Video recorder/player that works flawlessly. Picked it up back in 2006 from a foreclosure sale for $15. I've been digitizing all my old Hi8 tapes. The Hi8 Sony Camcorder I used to make them died many years ago.Thankful I picked up this player!👍
Wondering if I should take the internal cover off the mech and clean the head. I understand that one needs to use 99﹪ isopropyl alcohol. Your thoughts??
