Hi thank you, I will try to do that. I'll be removing the bumper to paint/match eventually anyways. Most of the modification had to be done due to the interference of the intercooler on front of the diesel trucks. If you have a gas truck, it would be less to modify on the brackets. Other than: Back of the bracket was cut less that 1/4", so the bumper can recess in further on to the frame. Brackets on the bumper it self was moved down about 1/2" (4 new holes had to be drilled 1/2' below original holes). That puts the bumper up 1/2" to take up the gap under headlights. Also new holes had to be drilled into the bracket where it mounts to the frame. So there's no modifications to the truck it self, just the original brackets that are on the 5th gen bumper.
Thanks again. Original plan was to raise the truck and 37" mud terrains, cowl hood, projector lights etc. But I've had quite a few trucks I did that with. Now I'm thinking upgrading the the rear bumper and tailgate to 4th gen first, complete paint job then see where that goes.
Aftermarket conversion brackets tends to leave a much bigger gaps all around. I also did not like that. It's a much better fit and cleaner look with fabricating the OEM brackets to fit. Thanks for watching
Hi, thanks for watching/subscribing. I can try to take pictures but I have a plow mount on the truck now and not sure what the pictures can show. Per request I did create another video on how to do this conversion, here is a link to that video Click Here:👉 ua-cam.com/video/9uJbRqFXQu4/v-deo.html Hopefully this helps, thanks...
Yes I have quite a few people asking for this. I should've done a video when I made the brackets but I did not. I will try to do an update video explaining the modification on brackets with the bumper on the truck.
Looks good. Check out Alpharex headlights, that will really finish out the look your going for.
Hi could u do a more detailed video of what you had to do to the brackets? It looks really good.

Thanks keep up the good work. Can't wait to see it painted. Any other plans?

Your has no gap. Others I’ve have a huge gap. Super clean

Good looking front end. Going to try this with my 08 gas thanks for the tips.
Thanks for watching. Should be easier on the gas truck, not having to notch the brackets for the intercooler.
I wonder how this would look with the earlier 3rd gen front end and head lights that have the bubbles underneath.
I think it would look even better with those earlier style smaller headlights.
Looks Awesome! I am going to do the same thing!!
Thank you , Go for it!
Can you add a pictures of the frame to the bumper from underneath

Very nicely done.

Can you make a video of brackets please

Have you made a video or pictures on how to do the conversion?
Few people has asked for a video on that. So I will be making a video on the conversion & explain the best I can with the bumper still on the truck.
Here you go my friend

Did your bumper have wings on the sides like on the back of the bumper
Hi, thanks for watching. Are you talking about the plastic pieces on the ends of the bumper ? yes it did
Can you post link for the grill everyone I find has to much chrome and looks cheap
ebay.us/LwkP4k Here you go, this is the exact one I used. Sometimes they look different due to the lighting or quality of the sellers pictures. thanks
Awesome thanks! Did you have to cut on the grill to put letters in
Yes grille did have to be cut to fit the letters. Here is the video on that: ua-cam.com/video/x9KZ1oJz7-g/v-deo.html
What did you have to do to convert the headlights??
There is no reason to convert the headlights to use this bumper. You can always upgrade to anything aftermarket including LED.
How come my 3rd gen is different than yours 😮
I don't know, could it be the front bumper. 😁
