That’s pretty cool, gives it a very unique look. I just happen to have a 03 ram 1500 and a bumper from a fifth gen so maybe I’ll try it.
The 5th gen bumper brackets were designed on a 2500 chasis, so you'll need to drill some extra holes to get the bumper to fit just right. I haven't done it yet, been too lazy lol

My dream truck build is a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 Mega Cab 4WD. It would have 5th gen bumpers, and both the interior and bed from a 4th Gen (I want one with RamBoxes). I don’t know if it’s possible to connect a 4th Gen console shifter to the transmission in a 3rd Gen but if it is I would do that as well.

You should put some grey tow mirrors and it will look a lot better
I put two mirrors on it not long after I uploaded the video, but black ones, not grey.
Just need the chrome covers for the mirrors, door handles, and top of windows lol
I actually got the 2500 tow mirrors and 1.5” hub centric spacers, she looks good now...thinking about a lift still haha...I like the black accents though

It won’t fit...the conversion brackets were make for a 2500..I need to modify them a bit to get the bumper to fit right...just been lazy to do it
I bought one of the remaining 2nd Gen Dodges new as the Dealerships filled up with the 3rd Gens that just don’t look good me. The 3rd Gen was a total remake that was a good truck, I just did not like the way they looked. I still own the 2001 2nd Gen and it still looks better lol
I had a 96 Ram extended cab 4x4 that my dad bought new and passed down to me when I turned 16, it was a damn good truck. I would have kept it if it were a Cummins, other than that…I like this one better lol

How did you run the DRL, since the early 3rd gens don’t come with the harness
The headlights comes with a separate harness that you can wire to a fuse or 12v..I didn’t use the harness cuz I don’t want the DRL on 24/7

@@Angelgarcia09 Also, if your truck isn't a 2500, you will have to do some drilling and cutting to the brackets, unless Overkillfab can make some...my truck is a 1500 and I still need to make some modifications to the brackets for the bumper to align correctly.
why is it so far out
The brackets are for a 2500 frame, my truck is a 1500. I’ve been too lazy to drill out new holes to get it to scoot up more.

I have two 2017 3500 Cummins and a 2021 3500 Cummins…there’s nothing wrong with having an old 4.7 lol
All that for an 03. Get a real 06-08.

I commend your efforts... but as a 2008 owner.... I think that thing just looks weird. Sticking out way too far, but even if you fixed that... That bumper just looks way too "thick" for the front end of that truck. Looks like it needs to be on a 3500 or something.
